Service has gone down. I remember it being a reliable & helpful store. Heaven forbid you ask the new staff for help now.

TITLE: Terrible customer service: Adrian (employee name). NARRATIVE: I came to the store to purchase a new phone. When I walked in, Adrian was standing by their door that leads to their stock room. He checked his watch, then acknowledged me by raising his finger. When he returned from the back, he asked how could he help me. I asked for a specific phone and color. He stated that he did not have the item, so I asked if he could check the system for another store's inventory. He replied that he could, but if the supply was inaccurate because of the display numbers or missing product, it would give me a bad customer experience, so he chose not to. He then proceeded to ask what I do for work and if it was related to me being a first responder. After answering no, he dropped the conversation altogether. At that point I stated, "I want you to know that you just gave me a 'bad customer experience' while trying to avoid me having one." He asked how, so I proceeded to share with him the following: THE ISSUES: "1. When I walked in, you never spoke or introduced yourself. You gave me a finger. 2. You gave minimal effort by telling me that you couldn't look up inventory and that I needed to call, instead of offering to call a location for me." At you that point (ironically) he looked baffled and said "You expect me to call every store???" And I replied, "Isn't that what you expected of me? I wanted to continue, but instead he dismissed me and went to help another customer. My issues continued: 3. He proceeded to up-sale me by asking what I do for work, etc., before resolving my reason for entering the store. I assume they get credit for this process. CONCLUSION: Ultimately, the worst part about the experience was Adrian using the case of shielding me from a bad customer experience to hide the fact that he wanted to give minimal effort. Then when I very politely pointed it out to him, he dismissed me. I would not have felt the need to write this if those two instances did not occur. If you want to help Adrian boost his employee credits while doing all the work yourself, definitely patron this location--at least that's the experience that I received. If not, I advise using a different store to spend your money. read more

I had an excellent experience at this ATT store. Adrien and Alfredo helped us transfer one Cricket line android to iPhone and upgrade another iPhone. They were patient, attentive, and professional. They are very well versed in the technologies needed to accomplish what we needed done and they kept us informed every step of the way. Alfredo also applied our new phone protectors and he treated our phones like they were his own. Both were also very friendly and funny which made the experience much more fun and relaxing. read more

I don't know the name of the women that helped my uncle but she was sitting in the door, my uncle recently lost all his card and his ID but he had a picture of his ID she had asked for it and he explained what had happened and she claimed she couldn't help up even if we had a picture of the ID. We went to a different AT&T and they were so helpful and didn't make a fuss about the ID. All that we were tying to get was a SIM card for a line that we already have there we weren't even trying to open a new line for her to do all that. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! read more

It's supposed to be first come, first helped... and not who's the most loudest and ignorant person there. Salesman (didn't catch his name) was in the process of helping us and instead helped a lady who claimed she was there first (which is not true because we walked in first and the associate acknowledged us first). Rather than start a fight, we let it go. We had to wait for the next available associate but by the time we were helped, I was already frustrated and I walked away empty handed. My mom needed a new phone and we were there to ask questions and start the process of activating a new phone if they had one available. I also wanted to inquire about adding a new service to our existing account but I'll have to find a different store that's not ghetto so we can be helped. read more

I had the worst experience I have ever had purchasing a product or service. The salesman, Michael came to my house and sold me an iPhone 13. I was so Gracious to him. I made him lunch and spent two hours talking to him about sports. We continue to talk about the Dodgers and other teams for a week after he came to my house. Later that week I offered him kings tickets. I not only found that he completely LIED about the terms of the deal, but pulled a scam on me. AT&T won't even call back after 12 attempts. As Mike said, "AT&T will just sweep it under the rug." My experience with AT&T and Michael specifically caused me an inordinate amount of stress. The guy is a liar! read more

I bought a pair of beats ear phones the box was marked price $50 when the representative charged me it was $70 the representative was very nice but unable to override the price to what the box said he called his supervisor and the supervisor insured me that they would credit my account immediately , two days had past, no credit , I had to go back to store because I was also sold me the wrong portable charger , they have several premium products in store that are marked with one price , and they ring up a higher price !!!! I went to AT&T in Compton per AT&T to complete an affidavit 4a stolen fone. AT&T said they'll help me here & handle the paperwork. I spoke to Rod here. Hee said they don't help, that I need to go 2a place that has a fax machine to send the affidavit to headquarters. While talking to a coworker, I must have been holding down too many buttons simultaneously and inadvertently change the settings on my phone. I was completely locked out. I come here once or twice a year and depending on the night you'll either wait 20-30 minutes for service or you'll get help right away. Pro's it's close to me. Cons: sales reps seem to always distract each other with small talk. This genius bar approach from at&t is not the best for phone service since the reps themselves are either inexperienced or small talking in front of customers. You also always seem to find the wandering employee that is acting busy, but is clearly doing nothing. read more

They have 2 people standing around with AT&T shirts on, one is behind the counter on her phone did not say 1 word to me. So I spoke and asked if she works here, she says no I'll get someone to help you. Then another employee says she does not start for another 10 minutes. Not sure if this location is understaffed or undertrained, but no one is helpful. Oh look another employee just came from the back and walked right past me, while I wait at the counter. Went in to see why my phone randomly turns off and malfunctions with the Bluetooth in my car at times. I had to wait a super long time for the rep to come up with no answers except to upgrade to a new phone that is more compatible with my car and a new 2-year contract. Hell no!! Poor customer service, they had no problem selling me a watch but when it came down to returning it within the 14 day period, they made excuses and said they could not. I asked the store number/ID so I could contact the corporate office but they did not know it (what the hell??). Toya was nice but not very informative or helpful, is it too much to ask to be helpful. Last year in 2017 I went into the store with my son hoping to move my lines over from T-Mobile to AT&T but the person taking care of us was not interested in helping us at all he kept telling me I had a issue with my credit I was going to buy the phones cash but at the end I ended up leaving and not finishing any type of process lo and behold a month later I get a bill and more bills kept coming I never signed for anything I never courted my lines over I never switched companies and now I'm being sent to collections what in the world is going on I haven't been able to fix this with AT&T I've tried to reach out to them on media like Facebook Twitter and no help no help whatsoever what are they doing with people's information they're going to ruin my credit I think I should seek legal representation for the Matter. read more

This is the closest ATT to my house and I only come here as a last resort. I came on today to make a payment but also needed to check my brother's phone it's a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge which would keep dropping calls or just not dialing out. After waiting for about 10 minutes I was helped by a a guy named JOE. His attitude was blah, not even a hello or just courtesy small talk. I explained what was going on and he took the phone and did a diagnostics on and said it was fine but that he would replace the SIM card. And he did but while we waited for the phone to reboot he was not social able, was distracted by other things. Being in the retail industry YOU would think that being social with customers would be important but I guess not with him. LAKEWOOD has GREAT customer service!!!!! She demonstrated comprehensive understanding of the solutions that my wife and I (senior citizens) needed to resolve our new iPhone technological issues. Worst AT&T store ever! Needed to pick up 2 SIM cards and was told by phone support to just walk in and pick some up and call back. Was told that they could not do that without activating the cards. I have walked in and done this many times with hundreds of sin cards and the manager was extremely rude like I was inconveniencing him by making him get up from this chair in the back and having to deal with a customer. Worst At&t location. Customer service is horrible. I came here to return an iPhone due canceling my service. Reps don't have manners nor know how to attend customers. Just to return the device took me about 2 hrs to do so. This is worse than being at the ER waiting to be seeing. Only reason I waited was because they were charging me the due balance on the device and before they try to send it to collection I had no choice but to wait. I have had the absolute worst experience not only with the company, but with their employees .Specifically with this location but also with the AT&T in Carson, CA. To begin ,my family and I are new customers switching over from Verizon. We have a total of 4 smartphones, 1 flip phone, and are Direct TV customers. At the time of the switch the Android Note7 has just came out , and they had the buy 1 get 1 free promotion. So we all got the Note7 , and with time the first recall was announced. We went straight to the AT&T in Carson and explained how we received e-mails about how we MUST go in and exchange the phones for a loner in the meantime while the new ones are shipped. The employee told us that we do not , and that it was a safety precaution but that we should just wait for the new batch of Note7 to come in .I was concerned especially because I was hearing about all these instances of the phone exploding and what not, but she insisted on not exchanging them just yet. We then waited until the new batch were available at a store, thats when we came to this location. Having been 4 phones we were exchanging I knew it would take some time, the young lady that began helping us had to leave and the assistant manager took over. The assistant manager Omar Tapia made my brother and I extremely uncomfortable .They still had a few hours until close but he felt the necessity to rush us , keep in mind we don't have control of how fast the phones take to transfer all information from one to another.The phones finally finished and we left. A few weeks later the second recall occurred. I completely understand the stores are not at fault for the phones being defected, but as customers were just doing as told and returning the phones.We come back ,the gentleman that began helping us had no idea what he was doing he had to keep leaving to ask his manager what he should do .Any question we had he couldn't answer. We wanted to exchange them for the iPHONE 7, and were ok with paying more monthly but because they were on backorder they told us we have to preorder which is fine. Then, Omar Tapia stepped in and said "Being new customers to AT&T you can not pre-order , you would have to turn in the Note7, pre-order the iPHONE 7 and wait for the shipment to come in which can take up to 2-4 months ,then come in and transfer all the information." I asked if in the mean time they can provide us with loner phones, he said no. He really expected all 4 of us to be without a phone for those 2-4 months . He showed no real interest in providing any good, let alone descent customer service . I honestly felt he could care less and was telling me you're screwed there's nothing we can do for you here. That is exactly how i took it and we left, I called the company and they were more than willing to order the iPHONE 7 for all 4 of us .We would of course pay a bit more like i mentioned earlier but they would honor the buy one get one, as well as all the activation fees and the reimbursements promised due to certain circumstances. We got 1 iPHONE 7 in the mail and they cut our phones off.Turns out whoever helped me the first time I called misinformed me ,the iPHONE 7 is not eligible but that the 6s and 6s plus is , they then told me to go to the store and that they now have the phones in stock and must honor it due to our "open case" as they called it. We come back ,Felipe was more than willing to help us , Omar Tapia then again stepped in and said he would not honor our contract or what they told us and that if we chose to exchange at their store we have to cancel our current contract, sign up for a new one where we now have to pay all 4 phones. I left the store so upset with them , and with the company itself. Everybody I talk to whether in person or on the phone tell me something different EVERY time. The switch over to AT&T from Verizon has been nothing but a dissapointment and all the money I have spent in just the few months i have been with them because of all the extra charges every time something is done or "fixed" according to them. It is ridiculous ,Omar Tapia is an absolute shame to the company he should not be in customer service. Not every customer is right i understand .Some customers can be difficult and flat out wrong but we were not them. We were patient and we came into this store looking for help. He approached us every time with his arrogant, stubborn attitude , with no intention to make a difference to truly help my family.Believe me when I say I will report this to corporate . read more

This store has it's up and down sides. They help you with your question that are simple and even more if you are into wanting to buy a new cell phone as any company will try to win their side of the sales of the day. The down side is much like waiting time if too many people come in and wanting help with questions and wanting to get a new cell phone and your on the waiting list and they either don't have enough team workers or they just pass you with the someone who is less experience or not wanting to hear about your issues as not all your questions don't get answered. Prices on certain device's and plans are pricey, surely they got some specials from time to time, but be ready to look for what you need before you buy as one brand new cell phone can still come out to be a flaw by the cell phone company like LG which got a lawsuit if you look at the reviews about the LG V10 and other types of LG cell phones. Samsung is a much better brand, look at what you need from that certain device as speed, storage, comfort and so on. This store got certain good employees and what's also great that it has the self pay machine to pay and go without waiting for someone to do the process if you know how to pay your bill in person. read more
