I have been there 3 times in the last month to buy fire logs. Only once did a young man ask if he could help and carried the box of 12 out for me. Today I purchased 36, sliced my finger open while loading them into the cart, stood in line waiting while my finger dripped and finally the cashier called to the back to bring out a bandaid. The jerk that brought it out, big guy that has been there for years...didn't even offer to help with the logs. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Personally, I find The Home Depot and Lowes way too overwhelming and loud. At Lincoln Creek, I feel like I'm walking into the hometown hardware store that I went to with my dad as a kid. With a smiling greeting at the door, a "what can I help you with" attitude, and a friendly, good-natured personality ... Lincoln Creek has it down. Sure, their prices can be a wee bit higher than those mentioned above. However, the staff is very kind and helpful. They all know where items are and don't need to "call" anyone to figure out which aisle something is in. Their selection is pretty darn good for not being a big box store, with me finding pretty much everything I need at each visit. Sometimes they don't have what I need, but it's rare that I can't find an alternative. The best part of the store is Larry and the paint department. Larry is the paint master, being able to match colors perfectly and tinker with the formulas to make them work. They stock B. Moore which is even better. Lastly, they have a very large Lumber department in which you can find most anything that you need. The only section that needs some love and is routinely lacking is the garden/plant section. Their selection of plants, flowers, etc. is pretty sad. All in all though, Lincoln Creek is our first stop. I like it. The kids like it. It's a safe, good place to go. They will keep on seeing our faces there.

They were friendly to other customers in the time I was there however so maybe my timing was just poor. The store was not laid out in way that made much sense to me but with some wandering you could find almost anything. They did have a cute kids section that had some pacific NW themed books and toys. They were not marked down but we picked one up anyway. Similarly the blankets were priced as is not discounted or applicable to any promotions they had. If you're in the are i would stop in but wouldn't go out of my way to shop here.

Then the saleslady states there is no tax free for people from OR anywhere in WA state. I tried to convince her otherwise but she arrogantly kept stating that there isn't any that I was wrong - she would have been more polite if she called me stupid. Of course she is wrong, or lying - both salespeople appear lazy and dishonest...never going back!

Every time, every season we are challenged with not just bad customer service, it's absolutely horrible. This time, the straw that broke the camel's back and reason for me finally getting frustrated enough to post a review, we were shopping for soccer gear. I had to go to the front counter and ask three times for help because the pricing of items was very misleading. This seems to be a theme frankly, we had a similar issue during baseball and football too. They have a sale price listed and countless items stocked on that shelf but tell you at the counter that it is full priced. Total bait and switch and it's just plain wrong. When I expressed my concern about to the manager, Yolanda, she jumped into berating us (kids and all) to "inform" that it isn't their job to make sure they are stocked right or that the pricing is correct (really?? Isn't that EXACTLY what your job is?) We are the ones that need to be more educated in her eyes. You can't make this stuff up. This is also very hard to do when there were no prices on many of the items we were looking at other than the sale sign. This was the reason we asked for assistance in the first place while in the aisle so many times to try and understand the utter insanity of their stocking setup. When we did get "help" 20 mins later an employee named Heather also yelled at my kids and I stating she had been there the whole time and that we need not have waited; we tried in a dozen shoes and no one was present. It's a very small area, we'd have noticed her ;) Anyway, moral of the story is that we will no longer be returning. Don't care if it costs more, we'll go to Oly. If anyone of consequence in management or leadership reads this please note this, we have heard the same thing from other team parents that share the same experience. Something there just isn't right and it has to be a company or local store culture thing to be this far reaching and long lasting. Consumers are getting smarter and not willing to put up with poor service, bait and switch, and plain mean people. Do something about it please!

Headed up to pick them up and upon arriving we were told they didn't know what we were talking about, they didn't have any assemblies or any headlight parts ordered for the day. My son headed back home and I called and spoke to the asst mgr to ask him to check on it. 2 minutes later he said they have them and we can come back in to pick them up. Absolute left hand not knowing what right hand is doing which wastes everyone's time. We previously had pretty good service there and I would have left the review at 4 stars. Except, during my call I mentioned all of this and the asst mgr didn't even pretend to care about the feedback. He said "well, he's got them now so..." Yes, we have them and won't be coming back for anything else. They would have let us leave just after calling us to come in to get parts we ordered and paid for only to send us home because they can't communicate internally.

Not only understaffed, but, the staff never acknowledges anyone. I was in last week, there were six people in line and one employee. He was going into great detail with the person at the counter. The people in line were growing highly irritated, they were talking loudly amongst themselves about how awful it always is in there. Not once did the clerk look up and say something like "Hey everyone, I'm all alone and doing my best. I'll be with you as soon as I can" anything would have been better than nothing at all. One person said "See, he must be used to this because he's acting like he can't even hear us". With zero exaggeration, I've been in this store at least six times and it's been the same every time!! At the price of paint and the volume of business, there's no way they can't afford more help. Maybe they don't realize that if they hired one more person, it could greatly increase their bottom line dollars. I really wish I didn't love their paint! Home Depot is next door and always super fast in their paint Dept....Unfortunately, their paint doesn't compare. Ugh!

I had to gouge a small piece of the painted wood door frame and took it in to see if they could match it, I am so pleased because the young man matched it so perfectly that I only had to touch up the spots. It looks brand new again. Good job!!
