They directed me to call customer service whom had already directed me here. The website says 3 easy ways to return. Asks to scan the back of my drivers license (which contains sensitive data). Never even checks the front. Clearly this wasn't about checking my identity. The people who work here speak some kind of technical jargon which is not understandable English. Eventually I'd have to ask them to write it down. After spending literally hours there. We had to return many times because what we got on the bill was not what we agreed to. Even the billing was not clear. I can't express how frustrating this all was, since all we wanted to do was sign up for services and be given a way to pay for them! I think the workers cycle in and out as they get discouraged and find work elsewhere. Also the workers would go back into the office and disappear for long periods to consult with someone-? In my wildest dreams I would have never thought it's possible for me to write a review that has praise for a AT&T business especially after spending 3 aggravating hours on the phone earlier with their help (!) desk this morning, first being put on hold for 2 hours and 22 minutes only to be told that my call was wrongly directed to "Direct TV". After calling another number and selecting the option of getting called back instead of waiting again, I was unable to understand or hear what was being said. My last resort was to go to this store in person and find out if a civilized, knowledgeable human can help me with my locked at&t / yahoo email account. I was greeted by Colby as I entered the store and had my iPhone with me. I summarized the problem and showed her the issue on the phone. Although my current phone service is not with AT&T she just was eager to help out. In a logical way she tackled the problem and in 5 minutes all my frustrations went away and the smile occupied my face again. I am writing this because I wanted to thank Colby from the bottom of my heart. If AT&T as an organization will hire more people like Colby and empower them they may get to enjoy episodes that can replicate their old glory. Once again, major issues at this store. 3rd visit in 3 months. Previously it was a mistake in billing they took forever to correct, and eventually cost over $100. They had a plain Jane phone marked as a smartphone, blamed it on system confusion. One of the phones on this account was stolen. Decided to cancel as out of contract. After dealing with phone & chat reps for 1.5+ hrs, they attempted to retain this line and suggested a replacement sim although I wanted to cancel. They claimed they could not forward calls or help technically with the existing line. The store is not close, but we sent an authorized family member as we were in the midst of an emergency. We were then physically given wrong SIM by Ashley at store. Phone now said it was a "go phone" and had a random number. The SIM card was taped into holding area and clearly had a different ICCID number. This random number must've belonged to a criminal, it was receiving many rude texts and calls immediately. Called back to talk to actual store, rep Daniel said Ashley was busy, asked for manager, manager Dustin advised would not help as could not access accounts over the phone and would have to return to store yet again. No apology. No help. Porting away all numbers tonight. read more

RE: TJ NAGRA I have been an AT&T customer for over 20 years and I have never experienced an associate that not only did not do their job correctly, but when I had to return to the store for him to fix his error, I was confronted with a very arrogant attitude. He claimed that "He is the best in the northwest" and refused to take respond for his mistakes. So I returned the phone I had just purchased three hours earlier. This associates name is TJ Nagra. This is the first AT&T store that I've visited. I was there to get a sim card replaced because my iPhone 4 doesn't take the regular SIM card. The store was well marketed, but it was a bit disorganized as to where to wait for an associate. However, when I finally got to one, they were courteous and friendly. I usually try not to give negative reviews, but since AT&T is in the consumer business, I thought folks would like to know about our experience. Through an online chat with AT&T they suggested we go to one of their stores and let them handle the transfer of data from my wife's LG G3 Vigor to her newer LG G4. Let me preface all this by telling you we're both tech savvy, probably could have done it ourselves, but took the advice of the rep, who said it would take about 15 minutes, and made an appointment online. We took off work early to get there. The service reps didn't seem to know or care that we had an appointment, and we were greeted somewhat dismissively when we explained about transferring our data. The rep told us it would take at least an hour and a half (past store closing time), claiming they had slow wifi. Quite honestly, I don't think they wanted to bother with us since most of them were trying to sell phones and plans to other customers in the store. He seemed more interested in lecturing us than helping us. Hey, everybody has a bad day...maybe we just caught him on on of his, who knows? We've been with AT&T for some 20 years...no plans to switch to another carrier. We've always had great customer service over the phone and online, but seem to run into problems when we visit their stores. So, we went home, watched a 5 minute instructional video, downloaded the transfer app...total transfer procedure took about 18 minutes. I just hope that AT&T reps in the stores will be more helpful to those less tech savvy than us. Unless you have a major device/technical issue that has to addressed right away, I'd suggest bypassing the AT&T stores and handle it on the phone or online...I seem to get much better results that way. read more

My husband and I showed up early to meet my folks here. We were greeted promptly, but we asked to be waited on our whole party arrived. Store was moderately busy. After my folks arrived, and a short wait by the benches at the front of the store (5 min or less), Wyatt came over and helped me, my husband and my folks to add two lines to our plan and unlock those phones, add my name onto our plans, and pre-order our new iPhones. He was helpful, pleasant, knowledgeable, organized (handled many questions at once and addressed them in the most logical order) and got on great with my folks. I haven't upgraded in probably 4 years, so I had a lot of options (and a lot to learn on the different phones). The snotty attitude of some of the employees had my wife totally frustrated when she went in to see about her broken phone. When seeing her phone was not top-of-the-line, one female employee actually said "oh we don't even deal with anything like that." It's sad that employees treat customers that rudely. read more

BOGO deal a lie My husband and I went in to get to service because Verizon couldn't provide our phone service in a location where we moved. Now we were with Verizon for 15 yrs and didn't want to lose them but we needed phone service which AT&T could provide in this area. We did the BOGO deal and new IPad and Direct TV. Let me tell you, 4 months later I have yet to see my credit appear on my phone bill and every month a different person has told me I will see my by 1 get one free by my 3rd bill. NOT!!! I have spoken to the guys in the store and on the phone with customer service who said I would see it on my 4th bill and it would be 150.00, it was 291.00. I was told the 1st month my direct TV would be 25.00 and the next months the guy at the store, for my inconvenience, it would be 15.00. And I should see a credit for the overcharge the first month. It's now 25.00 not 15.00 as he told me. And for this bundle it's nothing but advertising channels plus no internet. Should of stayed with Comcast Stay away from BOGO offers with this place. Normally, I wouldn't go out of my way to write a review on Yelp. Having said this, my experience at AT&T was so incredibly unpleasant that I feel the need to say something. Kristina was completely disrespectful and unacceptably pushy. I went into the store today to buy a new phone, instead Kristina insisted that I needed to change my entire phone plan, in order to save money. When I made clear that I wasn't looking to change my plan and that that decision wouldn't be mine to make, she made rude comments such as, "why is your family trying to spend more money?" and "I guess some people just have extra money lying around." Kristina was so rude to a point, where I was seriously considering asking to speak with another representative or even leaving the store to return later. TL;DR: Went to store to cancel my account because AT&T refused to help me on the phone for three days. The store manager called the police on me to have me banned from the store because I was upset about AT&T's horrible customer service. Lies, lies and the police! I've been an AT&T customer for about 12 years. After spending three days attempting to get my account canceled over the phone, I was finally forced to drive to this physical store to get something done. I had been promised callbacks by supervisors and managers from the call center and not a single person followed through. Everyone I spoke to lied to me just to make it inconvenient enough that I would not actually leave AT&T's network. When I entered the store, I immediately asked for a manager. A male stood to the side staring at me until I told the first rep that I really need to speak with a manager. The male finally identified himself as a manager even though he had been listening to everything I said to the first rep. I told the manager that it was nothing personal and I'm sure he might be a nice guy, but I'm very upset at the way I've been treated by AT&T and I want my account canceled immediately. The manager's response was to threaten to call the police if I didn't calm down. He gestured to another rep to make the call. I told the manager I've had enough of the stalling tactics and I need my account canceled NOW. A female customer service rep stood about 10 feet away smirking and giggling at me. I asked her if she thought the situation was funny. She refused to speak, but continued smirking. Horrible customer service! The manager continued stalling, then walked away. A physically large male in a plain t-shirt and no nametag identified himself as "a manager" and started speaking to me instead. The second male was the only person at AT&T who spoke to me with the basic respect of a human being and listened to what I wanted. Yes, he was definitely stalling me so that the police could arrive, but he still had the decency to speak to me as a person. The first manager came back and told me that my account was canceled. I asked for a receipt as documentation for our transaction. He refused and told me I could look at my account online. I told him I need a physical piece of paper that demonstrates the actions taken today. He refused again, and I asked him to print out anything that shows my account status. I just wanted some kind of documentation that the cancellation was completed and this was not just another lie. The manager finally went to a register and printed out a tiny sales receipt that had zeros for all the numbers. Zero due, zero paid, zero balance. It was the type of receipt you would get if you purchased an accessory and had absolutely nothing to do with canceling my account. The first manager left again. I asked the second manager for his employee number as well as the first manager's employee number so that I could file a complaint. The second manager stalled me again, but finally gave me a number that he claims is his ID. He refused to identify the first manager by ID number. I thanked him, shook his hand and walked outside to wait several minutes for the police. The police showed up and were very courteous. I explained my situation and they went into the store to speak with the employees. When they came out they told me that AT&T wants to place a trespass order on me so that I can't come back to that store. I told them I didn't want to have to go down there in the first place, and signed the order. I only went to the store because no one would help me on the phone. The police were understanding, gave me a copy of the order and let me go on my way. The fact that the manager called the police to ban a long-time customer from the store instead of just doing his job says everything you need to know about AT&T. read more

I am writing this review on behalf of my wife who is so distraught over a simple adapter that she cannot get an answer on. She has spent thousands of dollars on countless phones and accessories with AT&T. Upon entering the store she was approached by a young man who said : "What do you need?" There was no Hello, how can we help you or anything. All she wanted was a simple adapter for her phone which she recently purchased. She was told that she should have known that the adapter did not come with it ! Seriously ? He told here that it is all over the TV and everywhere about these new phones and she should have known. Now we are talking about a 9.00 adapter here. To be made to feel degraded and like a fool in front of others is not only unacceptable, it borders on abuse. Anyone who goes into this store is a target. Customer service is a giant "oxymoron". They have no clue and obviously could care less who knows it. Management obviously does not care or does not know the caliber of people who work at this store. What a bunch of swindlers!!!! Went in to add my husband to our family plan last night. He got a new iPhone and was told that we could get an iPad for $100. Greag deal right??!! My husband said he didnt want it if we had to pay for another line but was assured that we wouldnt be. This morning we realized it was running off of 3G. Tried calling the guy that sold it to us all day but he wouldnt answer and his voicemail was not set up (how convenient!). Called AT&T customer service and they told us there is a month charge for the iPad!!! My husband called and talked to the supposed manager who said we could bring it back but they are going to charge us $45 to take it back!!! I would understand if we had just changed our minds about it but WE WERE LIED TO!!! Not only that, this "manager" refused to give us a name or number for anyone above him who we could talk to about this. He had no sympathy and basically they are just stealing money from us after we have been customers for almost 15 years!!!! Dont trust anyone who works at this store. I am not a fan. I bought a "new phone" that had some other woman's pictures on it and stopped working within 48 hours. It took a fight with the store and AT&T customer service to get a replacement and then guess what happen? The replacement phone crapped out with 3 days. The only phone I would buy from them would be a new iphone which At&t is not responsible for. Black screen none responsive brick. My dad my husband and myself have been AT&T family plan customers for over 10 years and have given them over $14000 dollars for cell phone service. About 3 months ago my husbands phone had a bleeding LCD screen we took it in to the AT&T store and they said that the phone would be covered under the manufacturer's warranty since it wasn't that year old. After talking to the service and repair at AT&T they said that it was a non warranty repair on the phone and the phone was no good. They also said that this is a problem that they see all the time? We are talking about a galaxy s5, de todas is the best thing that ever came out. Then I went on to say how does the whole Insurance thing work on the phone so I can get another one they told us that we do not have insurance. Like I said we had been customers for over 10 years and no one has even asked this for the option to insure the phones we this always assume that was part of our family plan. So over 10 years of being loyal customer without ever having the late payment or ever using any warranty or insurance on any phone in that 10 years we needed help and they told us that we were on our own and there's nothing they could do. So now my phone a galaxy s5 got dropped in the dog dish bowl, the phone that we were told was waterproof .we called up AT&T to see if there are any options or anything and once again I completely shot down down. We said that when we went into AT&T and bought these phones you guys said they are waterproof so what's the deal. Then they said that we were told that they were waterproof when the galaxy s5 first came out but now we're not supposed to say that anymore because of all the water warranty issues that they're having. So what's the deal AT&T we've been loyal customers for over 10 years and you're not willing to help. other cell phone companies that we've talked to I willing to give out free phones to customers that are in need but apparently not you guys.
