They didn't carry the exact item we wanted and Christian proceeded to tell us about upgrading options for our phones and internet. I was about to shut him down since I have been subjected to the hard sales pitch in the past from other similar enterprises, but something about Christian's attitude kept us interested He gave us options for upgrading our phones, which we weren't interested in, but then he started explaining to us some Internet options since we are currently with a competitor and he had mentioned he could do much better than their pricing. I must say that Christian was great to deal with. He wasn't pushy or overbearing he was not into the hard sell. He clearly was looking for ways to help us reduce our cost for service services. We listened to what he said, and agreed to a trial run, which he said would be at no charge, which I found extremely interesting. He then gave us his personal cell number and said if we had any issues or questions he would be glad to help. Christian made this a personal experience rather than a corporate shoving it down your throat experience. If everything works out as he explained it would Verizon would get a new customer for Internet and if it doesn't work out as he said, he mentioned that he could easily reverse anything that had been set up without us receiving any bills for it. So far we highly recommend Christian and this particular branch of Verizon. Hopefully everything he discussed will prove to be accurate but at least for now we are quite happy with his presentation.

We brought it to the mall to see what could be done, and the Best Buy next door pointed us here. The two guys were friendly and suggested that the screen might need to be replaced. They quoted me a price, which seemed high compared to the cost of a new tablet, but there was stuff on this one that I needed so I agreed. I conditioned my approval on the basis that if the new screen wouldn't fix it I didn't want to pay for anything. A couple of days later and they called to say it was fixed. I picked up and brought it home and discovered that most of the screen worked fine but the bottom inch didn't. I talked to them on the phone and they offered to order a new screen. It arrived in a couple of days and they made the switch. The process is somewhat convenient though I wish they had hours later than 7PM during the week. I am pretty busy on the weekends so getting here to drop it off (then pick it up, then drop it off again, then pick it up again) spread the process out a lot longer then I would have liked. They weren't cheap ($160) but they did quote me up front and they were quick and polite.

The second time I brought stuff in a different guy told me, after running it through some "tests", that my iPhone was locked to the ATT network even after I told them that couldn't be possible because I purchased it unlocked directly from Apple. He offered me at least $50 less for it because of this. In addition, they rejected another one of my items because they "couldn't get it to charge". Needless to say I did not sell my items to them. I got home popped a Verizon SIM card in my iPhone and LO AND BEHOLD the phone works. I also plugged the other item in and LO AND BEHOLD it charged right up and held its charge. It was what I was looking for at a good price. However, I asked the salesman if they offered a transfer of everything from my old machine and he said they did for $ 199 and was offered through the "Geek Squad" which had a kiosk right in the store. I waited in line at the kiosk for maybe 15-20 minutes before I was waited on, the work order was prepared and only then was I informed that the process could take up to 48 hours! I was kind of shocked by that but figured that they probably had more than my little machine to take care of and left. Mind you, I have a 80 mile round trip to go this store. I received an email a couple of days later and said my machine was ready for pick up. The counter guy waited on me, gave me my new computer in the original box and that was it?? No explanation what to do, what to look out for or even a "thank you". Pretty unprofessional. I had to ask him if there was someplace I could sit down and try the machine to make sure it actually worked - you know like powered up. It did and I checked a couple of links and everything seemed OK. BIG MISTAKE! It's been two (2) months since I bought the machine and I'm still finding major issues and surprises that I never expected. I've been forced to take the new machine to a local repair guy to fix some basic issues with communication between devices like printers and scanners.
