We engaged Astound Broadband to install the broadband connection in a new home build. They completed the fiber to coax connection, added a Hitron DOCSIS 3.1 modem, and provided an eero Wi-Fi gateway and eero range extender, which I was able to self-install and bring up the Internet and Wi-Fi with. The eero range extender turned out to have a hardware issue, which required taking it to the Stayton store for swap. That was completed quickly and without additional out of pocket cost. The service itself has been great! Good speed and reliability, enduring over bad weather, on a par with the "Big Player" that we used to have, and at a more affordable monthly cost! We're happy with Astound, and as an engineer who retired from the Tech Industry, I recommend them. read more

I was with astound 5.7 years. They doubled my rate. I called and talked with then saying if I was a new customer not a loyal customer I could get 1/2 the price locked in for two years. They blamed corporate an kept making very unintelligible responses that made zero sense. For that I ended my account with astound. Loyal customers mean nothing. read more

I had phone service with Astound in Woodburn, OR and I thought the prices were fair and the service was good. I had a tech come out and they helped when my loved one moved. The tech helped trouble shoot the service. read more

I have never had such bad customer service. Called this week to cancel my TV service, streaming is way cheaper, and set up a mesh system in our house. Was given an appointment for Saturday between 8-12pm. Got a call Friday from the automated system (screen shot included) and confirmed appointment. On Saturday I text their customer service folks since it is after 12 and I have not heard anything. They tell me the technician is late and someone from dispatch or the technician will call me within moments (screen shot included). That's fine I get it things happen. At 2 still nothing so I text again. They are now telling me I never had an appointment and they have no record of it!!!! How the heck then do I have an auto call and text saying they are running late?!?!?!? That means someone on their end deleted my appointment and now they cannot come till next Saturday even though I wasted a day. The technician obviously has a hole in their schedule now so just route them to me! This is some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I never post or take to social media but will now since you are not serving your customers right! read more

Horrible customer service, horrible connectivity, rickety old equipment. The router I am "renting" from them completely died. We're talking no electricity registering at all. Call customer service and the idiot who answered the phone kept insisting everything is fine because when she pings it shows Internet to the house. I keep repeating it's the POWER. She *still* kept insisting everything is fine and that I really needed to listen and restart the router. Finally, after much anger and frustration, and her acting sanctimonious and condescending, I am told they will have a technician at my house sometime between today and Wednesday. Really? A three day window, so now I have to stay at home when all I need is for you morons to listen to your customers and let me come down and swap the freaking router out so I can work (I work from home you shitheads). read more

WAVE Broadband does not have a very good track record on here. I recently have been having spotty service. Most recently my modem had been kicking me off multiple times a day. Then I lost service completely. Called for technical support but the automated service hung up on me three times. Bought a new modem but WAVE needs to "give permission" to use it. Called customer service and was told service was out in my area. No apology, just told a tech would be out the next day and was given a 12hr window. At this point I was ready to cancel. Tech Marco #2005, came to the house and was prompt, courteous, apologetic and informative. He quickly fixed the issue and set up my new modem. Only because Marco was so awesome will I stay with WAVE for now. Hope things get better. read more

Slow what else can i tell you. They Lie and cheat they start out fast as always and we can barely use our internet from it being so SLOW. High speed my ???? read more

Their prices are very high for what they offer. When trying to cancel, the first representative told me I had to be home to call the landline to cancel so I had to wait a few more days and when I called back to ask what the cost of just internet would be, the price of internet only jumped up by $50/month for subpar speed in comparison to the company we're switching to, the representative also was subpar. He also didn't need to call the land line to cancel. Clearly, they don't care about keeping customers. ‍not to mention, upon signing up, the sales representative told me since we signed up for home phone our first month of service was free and free install only to be charged both and when I complained they only refunded the install and said there's no promotion for free first month of service. They offer a 30 day money back guarantee so that's a positive. read more

Wave is the absolute worst company I've ever had to deal with in my life. The professionalism is no where to be seen in the store and on the phone. The internet works less than 50% of the time and you still pay for the service cause it's cheap (for about 3 months until they start trying to charge you for random things you didn't sign up for). They do not keep their word and they definitely do don't care about their customers. I do NOT recommend this internet to ANYONE! read more

Our internet was running a bit slow so we called and they came and they replaced the modem then outta no where all our new routers we had don't work so we thought we just had to update so I go and buy a new $200 router then it's still not working so we call again and the guy comes and say oh it's your router blah blah blah then checks the modem and it was the modem... he goes oh the last guy didn't set it up right he gets my room router internet to work and I go oh make sure my step dads got internet to on his router and the wave internet guy just takes off so we call them to come again and the guy says oh we have to many routers buy the mesh router cause y'all have a longer house and the mesh will fix you problems so we go spend $500 on that and we get that to work but now our speeds are not even 5% of what we pay for so we call again and the next guy comes out and he goes oh it's the cord so he replaces that and then it still doesn't work and just leaves I depend on internet as a paraplegic for my light bulbs tv heater fans garage door regular doors remotes air filter literallt everything and I work from my computer but it doesn't matter to them ‍ read more

This place is garbage. Their technical support guys are great and are just doing their job. But as far as accounts and billing and customer service, they are crap and I would take them to court in a heartbeat. They make promises on the phone but if you get to the nitty gritty in the small fine print, they will make you wish you had other options. I will never use wave again!!!!.... Edit 3/7/20---- Sorry automated message from wave.... your "customer service" already blew it. I was polite and courteous to all of your people, but your shady, hidden "policies" that you fail to disclose to people will eventually come back to bite you. I was very specific with my questions and was told the same thing by 3 different people. It wasn't until you were setting it up in my house that you decided to surprise me with your "we've had this policy for many years" comment. And don't ever throw your technicians under the bus for your failed policies. They work their ass off and deserve a lot more respect from your company than your "customer service" will ever give them credit for. For now, I will gladly pay twice as much to go somewhere else than to ever have service from you again read more

Internet service is spotty, and when you inevitably need a service call, it might easily take 4 days to get someone out to fix it. Not acceptable, especially with kids who need to do school online. Just got a new modem 2 months ago (which meant several days without internet) and already having problems again, so we're without internet until they can get around to us, in 4 days. read more
