I needed time to get contact info from builder for roofer but needed roof fixed ASAP so call a 3rd party roofer. They inspected my roof, sent me photos and videos explaining why it was not installed properly and fixed it for $1200. I was quoted $3000 to get the drywall damage fixed but figured I would do that repair on my own to the best of my ability. I contacted A&W and they refused to reimburse me since I had a 3rd party look work on the roof. I am not surprised they refused to stand by their work, they got paid to do a fast and cheap job of putting a new roof on a quickly constructed house and would lose money if they actually had to fix their mistakes. I sent them the photos and video showing their work was inadequate and they don't care. It took me more than a week just to get them to finally answer my question about the warranty of their roof, glad I didn't wait on them to come inspect and repair it knowing they did a terrible job the 1st time. We used Escex because of a friend who worked there at the time. We needed to replace our roof due…read moreto weather damage, so we thought we'd go all in and replace the siding as well because Escex assured us they did both. In all we spent more than $38,000. From the beginning of the project things went sideways. Our siding salesman promised hardiplank, installed a lesser product that wasn't even the same style. The salesman was fired, but we didn't get what we thought we were paying for. As for the roof, after it was installed, we had a leak that caused some water damage in bedroom, but it was fixed. Fast forward 4 years (we had roof/siding installed in May, 2021), we woke up a few weeks ago after a rainstorm to find water damage in the master bathroom, master bedroom and on the main floor in the kitchen. I called and asked Escex to come look for the leak. Mark Chapin, the roofing manager came out and told us that there was a 'dead spot' on the roof and that he would repair it but it wasn't covered under warranty. He would do the work himself for slightly under $600. I was skeptical, so therefore got another estimate from a well known roofer, who pointed out where they believed the leak came from and why. Below are current day pictures-4 years later. I asked about the quality of work, and the relationship to the leaks., sent emails and left voicemails for Escex Owner ADAM HUMPHREYS-he didn't return any of them. Mark told me he was limited in what he could do because the warranty expired? I wonder if this is the 'quality' Escex is so proud of and if they stand behind this type of workmanship and poor customer service?

We had hail damage in September, 2025. Initially, we didn't plan to file a claim since we had…read moreprevious problems with State Farm and denied roof damage claims. If you don't know, State Farm has a horrible reputation for denying roof damage claims. The Precision Roof team (Alex Deyton, Shawn McClimon) promised that they were experts at working with State Farm to gain claim approvals and would take on the work of gaining the approval. As expected, State Farm rejected the initial claim, but the Precision Roofing team worked through the rejections and red tape leading to State Farm approval in November. Alex Deyton came out three times over the claim process and marked the damage on our roof and worked with the State Farm adjusters to push the claim through. Beyond filing the original claim and coordinating adjuster visits, we did nothing. We were very surprised and happy that Alex and Shawn were able to get State Farm to budge. Once approved, the process for selecting shingles and scheduling the installation was extremely fast and easy. Alex and Shawn worked with us to get everything scheduled and they had a team on site the day before Thanksgiving. The roofing team finished in a single day. They did a great job on the roof, but where they really excel is the cleanup. With past roofs, the roofers destroyed my bushes and left nails and shingles everywhere. We were hard pressed to find a single nail or part of a shingle after they finished. It was amazing. All in all, the whole experience with Precision Roofing was great. They worked hard to get our claim approved, were always on time, and did a great job on our roof. If wasn't for them, we would still have a damaged roof. We were the ONLY house in our neighborhood whose claim was approved, and with State Farm at that! So, don't hesitate to take Alex and Shawn at their word when they say they can help you. They can and will. Thanks guys!

I had used Top Notch one other time to replace a roof on a small rental house, and the job he did on that was good so I decided to have him come out and bid on my home's roof. After getting the go ahead from the insurance company I called Mike Smallwood at Top Notch and he came to my home with samples. I wasn't liking any of the samples he brought. We discussed what I was looking for and he suggested a different set of colors and brought samples for that. We found the color that best matched the existing roof. I'm not a big fan of the large color differences in a lot of the new style roof colors. They look like checker boards. Way too busy. I like a more subtle color variance in roofs. I'm picky!! We climbed a latter and took the samples up to the roof to see how they looked. We were satisfied with the Weathered Wood Shadow. A GAF brand shingle. It was perfect. The date was scheduled but three days before the install he called and asked to push the date back one day due to the weather forecast. He was spot on. It rained heavily the day of the original schedule. On install day he met his crew early at the house. They prepared the yard with tarps to cover and protect shrubs and our swimming pool. The job took two days. The team of guys he uses were awesome. A few minor things were noticed as the new install progressed and Mike took note and took care of them in a very expeditious manner. After the roof was complete and the work finished, Mike and the crew went around the yard picking up debris, trash, and nails. The yard LOOKED fantastic when they left. We did not have to do a thing towards getting our yard back in shape. Thanks Mike for a great job. Well done. I can highly recommend you to my neighbors and friends. Of which I already have.
