From the moment we stepped in, the staff was wonderful. A young lady greeted us and promptly retrieved a very kind and personable sales representative (Jordan Brown) to assist. Jordan made us feel like VIP. He was very informative about quality, style, and cost of the windows we were inquiring on. We were quoted (to replace each window - our framing has been inspected and will not need replacing): *$399 4000-Series DH All-Weld *$119 Solar Zone Elite (Energy Star Compliant) *$129 Installation (+ a one-time $350 for Admin, Site Set Up & Disposal Fee) For 12 windows, our total is $8,114. I have heard mixed reviews about Window World, both positive and not so much. I go by how I am treated (and pray on it). Some have said this is a fair-good price while a good friend said, "With all of us being in an economic pandemic, and it being the end of the year, you should keep shopping!" We have been quoted less from other companies and even offered specials (Buy 2 Windows, Get 2 Windows Free). However, the last thing I want to experience is "Buyers Remorse Syndrome" and do not want to fall into the embarrassing "We got what we paid for". My 75 year old uncle is telling me, "A DIY is best - You and Hubby can do it!" We are DIY-ers with minor home jobs (plumbing, repairs, and enhancements). I talked to several companies about this job (initially, we weren't sure if we were going to go back with real cedar that was originally on our house or the Nichiha cedar shake) that Russ recommended. My wife and I were initially nervous about how the shake siding would look compared to the real cedar we had before. But as you can see in the pictures, it turned out wonderfully, even better than we expected. Russ immediately followed up to ensure I was satisfied after the job was done. This is our second time using Russ. He also replaced the siding on two of our chimneys a few years ago and did a great job with that as well. I obtained a few estimates from different contractors, and they were not the cheapest, but they were reasonably priced with far better reviews than the cheaper option, which is another reason I chose them. Thomas is highly responsive to communication, which again is quite unusual with most contractors in my experience, so that was a nice plus too. They provided evidence of insurance upon request. We paid a 50% deposit to get on the schedule and I was able to pay that by credit card without an extra fee, which was appreciated since it allowed me to get reward points on the purchase. A crew of three guys came out to the house early in the morning and completed the job just before dark. They did a phenomenal job. Each step was documented with pictures to show where rotten decking needed to be replaced, and an explanation of everything. Despite already being reasonably priced, Thomas gave us a nice discount for the extra decking on the final invoice, which was a happy surprised and very much appreciated. They also cleaned up very well after themselves. If you need a new roof or any kind of roof work, Tom and Jerry Roofing is the best there is without a doubt!
