Carl and his wife are very nice people but unfortunately they are not good business people. He took…read moreon more jobs than he could manage and we were one of those, he should have been honest up front that it was too much work for him to oversee. Although the work the guys on the job did was pretty good, Carl rarely came by the jobsite (our home) and had really no idea what was going on. Once the job was complete he didn't even ask if we were happy or come to check on the work he just sent an invoice. Well the invoice was over 30% more than the original quote (not including the additional few jobs we added on once they were in our home working). And when confronted with this Carl literally said he had no idea why the cost was that high, he was just passing on a number that his guys on the job gave him. He had had no explanation for why his quote was so far off the final cost, that's just bad business. It was painful writing a check to a man who had rarely been a part of what was happening over those weeks at our home for a number that he had no idea where it came from. But we wrote the check to be done with him, we will not recommend him and wanted to caution everyone. They are very nice people when you meet them but poorly quote jobs and did not oversee the job like I would expect a contractor to, otherwise why am I paying extra for a contractor, I could have just hired the workers myself and managed them myself, which is what I had to do.

Found torn shingles were…read moreinstalled, butt indentations left where installers sat on the ridge vent, chimney cap crew set a ladder on the new roof and sliced into the shingles, gutter crew installed 1 gutter sloping the wrong way and another gutter leaks at a 90° angle, water stain in the bathroom from not covering all the bare roof during a thunderstorm. They will fix the problems though if you find them. Always inspect new work done by anyone.
