Update 9.23.24 from my original review dated 02.22.2024 I have an exterior door that remains unfinished (photos below), and still have not come to a resolution of the original damages. Contacted Abby and was told that the door is not under warranty because I did not finish paying for it. Remind you they have a deposit. Why would I pay in full for a incomplete job. Not to mention, this company was paid in full for a siding job, just for me to discover that they did not replace the siding under my front porch and made no mention of it. We've been getting the run around for over a month now about getting our window replaced and it's been very frustrating. I'm not sure if it's because of the warranty and there's not a true sale, but no one seems to want to help us. Honestly not sure how to move forward since all other roads lead us back to the original company that installed the window in our home, which is Superior. read more

Our experience with SuperiorPro was disappointing. The first salesman provided a quote but then failed to return our calls, leaving us feeling ignored. The office called a week or so later to ask if we had made a decision on the paint project. We informed the office that we had not heard from the salesman. The office quickly assigned a second salesman. After expressing our concerns to the office, they sent out a second salesman. While the second salesman was okay, in hindsight, we should have stopped after our experience with the first salesman. The project management was subpar. The PM walked through the house with the contractor to outline the work to be done. However, despite our explicit instructions *not* to paint my son's room (as it had been painted just a year ago in a different color), we later found the crew painting it anyway. Not only was this room explicitly excluded from the scope of work, but it also wasn't listed in the signed contract. To make matters worse, the PM attempted to add this unrequested work to the contract and final pricing. On top of that, some of the previous blue paint is still visible through the new coat, showcasing a lack of quality control. There was also an issue with the kitchen/family room ceiling. Although the ceiling was included in the signed contract, the PM originally instructed the contractors not to paint it, resulting in delays and unnecessary frustration. Instead, the contractors were left trying to patch-paint the ceiling rather than complete the job as agreed. This mismanagement made us feel as though our integrity was being questioned, even though we were paying a significant amount of money for their services. A week after project completion, we're still scraping paint off the floors, door knobs, light fixtures, and other areas where paint clearly doesn't belong. My daughter's room ceiling also shows visible mistakes, with splashes of the wrong paint color and mismatched shades of white, leaving it looking patchy and very noticeable. We chose SuperiorPro because of their association with TrustDale, but this experience has left us questioning both SuperiorPro and TrustDale's endorsements. Would not recommend. read more

Do not use this company for anything unless you want a lot of hassle, mess, damage, and confusion. I contacted them last year to get a quote on replacing the siding and repainting the entire house, and gutters as well. I already had a quote from another company, but I always get a few. SuperiorPro's salesman came out, we discussed the project and my other quote, he talked it down, saying the work they suggested was wrong and that they wouldn't do a good job, and I should go with Superior if I wanted it done right, although their quote was $4300 more. I appreciated the honesty or at least the attempt and decided that I would use SuperiorPro. I was then handed off to the project manager who would be doing all of the coordination of the work. He seemed aware of everything that was discussed so materials were ordered. I guess the first warning sign came when the materials were delivered. They set them all in the front yard where the dumpster was supposed to go and they brought the siding and a lot of extra wood but didn't bring any of the 4x8 OSB that was supposed to go behind the siding, my house was older so it didn't have sheathing. I didn't ask because I assumed they knew what they were doing. Then the dumpster showed up, they parked it in the street because it had two flat tires so they couldn't get it up into the yard like we had agreed on. I relayed my concern and expressed it would be more difficult on everyone with it being out on the street, but he said it would be okay. The siding crew showed up a few days later, unaware there wasn't any sheathing so the main guy and a helper angrily went to get some at Home Depot while the other helper started removing the siding. They were gone for the better part of the day, and when they got back seemed to be in an even worse mood. They worked a couple of hours more and then left, set to come back the next day. Next day they got all the siding off two sides, sheathing up, wrap over it, and siding up on one side. They seemed to be done on that side but hadn't removed any of the other trim work. So when I asked about it he got angry and said that wasn't his job. We argued, I called the project manager and learned that that would be done by another crew but by then words had been exchanged and the siding guys left. There were a few days of really cold weather so I had to wait it out, then learned a new siding crew would be coming because the original crew all had COVID. They both showed up the next day though and the original guys got all of their equipment and even hung out with the other guys, so no one was sick, they just didn't want to do any more work. The new guys found a lot of issues with the work already done and had to redo a lot of it. They worked on it for a couple of days and got it all up and I was finally thinking the project was back on the rails. Paint crew was next, they were to pressure wash the entire house and then prep or replace any of the wood that had issues. I worked that day but when I came home they had painted most the house, you could see tons of trash in it, areas that weren't washed at all, and a lot of areas that were either light or just overlooked. I complained again and supposedly they weren't done and would be back out the next day, which happened to be raining. They showed up anyway and did the rest of the painting in the rain. When I called again to complain I was told that they know better and that no one would have done any paint work in the rain. I had it on video they were indeed working in the rain, and the paint on the garage door, which they weren't even supposed to paint, had already run off and onto my driveway. Work halted after that and the project manager said he'd come out and look over everything. The paint was still wet in some places 3 days later. I showed him all of the issues and he said he would send another paint crew to fix everything, and then he'd get the gutter guys lined up next. I laughed at that, no one else was going to be doing work on my house, the new paint guys would fix everything and that would be it. They came out a couple days later, I took the day off and stood over them all day to make sure they fixed everything that had been skipped, overlooked, or half assed. It was a lot. They got done that day and left but then I later found they had put my electrical box back on the wall crooked, there were a lot of seams that had not been properly caulked either. The project manager was still eager to get his guys out to put the gutters up and said that they were the best. I hired a different guy to do them who was substantially less and got it all knocked it out in under an hour. My electrical box is still crooked and I can't fix it without adding more holes in the siding, which I don't want to do. Several places where the siding meets up are already splitting and I've found other areas that I didn't catch that weren't fully painted. All this for just over $18k. read more

We hired Superior Pro to perform stucco repair, caulking , and window trim replacement. While the work was eventually completed in a semi-satisfactory manner, the experience was an adventure no homeowner should experience. Let's start at the front end. Sales: Two words of advice: BUYER BEWARE! Our sales rep provided a quote for gutter and fascia board replacement. There was a minimum charge of $2000. We asked for fascia board painting and that was another $2000 because painting is done by a separate team. How about PVC instead of pressure treated pine for the fascia board? Sorry they don't make PVC fascia board. That is false! It's readily available at Home Depot and Lowes. We ended up going to a gutter company and getting exactly what we wanted for less than $2000. We asked about repairing a couple woodpecker holes and that was a reasonable $90 but the sales manager insisted that the sales rep push us towards skim coating for an additional $1500. He claimed it would not look right if skimcoating was not applied and of course they could not warranty the work, I asked if they would warrant against future woodpecker holes. Obviously not. There is nothing wrong with the $90 repairs. Production: One word: FRUSTRATING! Like many home improvement companies Superior Pro uses sub-contractors (1099 employees) instead of inhouse W-2 employees. That's not necessarily bad if the sub-contractors are managed effectively. In our case it looked like Superior Pro has a very informal relationshiip with the sub-contractors who showed up for work at their convenience if they even showed up at all. On day 1 when the contractors were late I called the project co-ordinator, project manager and sales rep and eventually learned that the same sub-contractor who committed on Friday to perform the work on Monday had a change of heart and wouldn't be showing up. Day 2 didn't go much better when the two men who did show left early without telling me then told the project co-ordinator that I told them to go home which is an outright lie! Wait it doesn't end there. The same crew showed up without proper materials and spent most of the day touring every Home Depot in Gwinnett County searching for the right PVC window trim. The same situation occurred later when looking for a stucco color-match material. Eventually an adult with journeyman-level qualifications showed up and completed the work in two days albeit with the color-matching delay sandwiched in between. Bottom Line: Superior Pro is neither. With a few google searches a homeowner can easily find a better company for stucco repairs or gutter work. read more

I contracted to have 4 doors replaced. The doors themselves are of high quality, no complaints there. And while all the folks with whom I have spoken are all nice and polite, the quality of the installation leaves a lot to be desired. All 4 doors had issues - 2 of them were not measured correctly, too small for the openings; 1 door came with hardware that I did not want ( they blamed me for not reviewing the order well enough, even though the salesman knew I wanted the doors to be prepped only, no locksets were needed - i asked that I be refunded the cost of the lockset that was returned, but I was told it was included in the cost of the door, which tells me I paid for items I did not need, so beware of that) and they have since plugged a hole that was drilled that should not have been there; and 4th double door was supposed to open out, but arrived opening in ( I agreed to keep this door, and live with the inconvenience, for which they did compensate me). The other 2 doors were reordered, taking another 2-3 months in addition to the first 3 months of waiting. One door has been installed now with no issues. the second too small door arrived AGAIN too small, but wider than the first one, and with a damaged glass trim, which was re-ordered. It is close enough to the correct size it should have been, so I agreed to keep it IF they could make the interior and exterior trim cover up the gaps, which had been filled an excess of clear silicone caulk that looked terrible. So the installers came again, not knowing what to do since the project manager did not show up to advise them, even though I had already told him what needed to be done. SO after yet another visit, the installers made the exterior look better, and the interior is mostly acceptable, but I will have to stain the trim they added to make it hopefully match. Brett, our sales rep, was prompt, highly detailed in his pricing and explanation of the work to be completed, and listened to all of my concerns. The crew was just as prompt and went above and beyond to make sure the project was completed on time and with quality work. Chris explained that it would be better for me to call The Trusted toolbox which I did. I left a voicemail and waited two days before calling Chris to let him know that no one had returned my call. This was now the second incident with the trusted toolbox where I had no return call after leaving several messages on another occasion. I had a $6,000 job done where a tree came in through the roof and breached the attic and bedroom ceiling. "Superior" did the repair (ceiling work was lumpy) but a few weeks later water was leaking in causing the sheet rock to buckle. I discovered that the leak was coming from the tarp they previously nailed to the roof but never filled in the holes prior to leaving. I called Superior and to my surprise they said they were done with everything. I eventually threatened to take them to court and after a very heated conversation they finally came out again. They said they aren't a "roofing company" as to why this occurred. That's funny because they never said this prior to accepting the job and had no problem accepting my payment, either. The fact is they did a crappy job and customer service was terrible. This was a very stressful experience and I would never use them again. read more

TL;DR - The final result was good and the house looks nice, but the contractor left a mess (a fact which they dispute), created an environmental hazard (they also don't agree with this), and getting the job done right required a lot of follow-up on my part (and there is still a small item outstanding). For what I paid, I would have hoped for a less stressful experience. They weren't the lowest estimate I got, but they had such a good review on Angie's list, I went with them anyway. I'm happy my house looks nice, but I would not recommend Superior Pro. If you do hire them, take photos of EVERYTHING before work starts and keep an eye on things. Some of my specific issues are outlined below: 1. Contractor left environmental hazards. First, be aware that Superior Pro is not a Georgia EPD-Certified renovator in accordance with the Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rules, and you should not hire them to conduct renovations on your home if it was built prior to 1978. . I knew this going in, but assumed it would not be an issue for me. While my house is older, Superior Pro was hired to install siding after hazardous materials (asbestos siding) was removed by another contractor. I assumed lead paint wouldn't factor in at all, so I went ahead and hired them. After the asbestos siding was removed, I learned that what was left underneath was old wood siding with some paper over it. Two things happened. First, as the contractors pulled the old paper away from the wood siding, lots of small chips of old paint fell to the ground. When I pointed this out within the first two hours of them working on the property, and told them they should put poly down (per PRP rule best practices), the project manager shrugged it off and said that it wouldn't be necessary and that they don't do that for siding jobs. Additionally, as they cleaned and prepped the house, old paint on the trim was knocked off as collateral damage. Superior pro disputes that the chips of paint were knocked to the ground during their work, and said that it must have been from another contractor. However, my asbestos contractor had meticulously put down poly and was unbelievably careful in cleaning up any debris. Plus, I watched the bits sprinkle down on that first day (and pointed it out). Superior Pro also denied at one point that it was paint, and then later denied that it was lead. I had them come out and test, and their test was negative. However, I ALSO had Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) come out and test, and their test came up positive for lead. So I am left with conflicting evidence from EPD and from the contractor, but I'm inclined to believe EPD is correct. To their credit, the Superior Pro crew cleaned up a good bit of the paint chips, but it took a lot of back and forth and several weeks to get that done, plus there are still plenty left that I will have to deal with myself. EPD said that the standard should be no visible paint chips on the ground, which is definitely not the condition my property was left in. The Superior Pro project manager was cavalier about the seriousness of paint chips on the ground, and said that it wasn't enough to worry about, but I am not personally so unconcerned. 2. Contractor did not clean property - Apart from the issue with the paint chips, contractor just left a mess for weeks. Most of it was eventually cleaned up, but not all of it. I've found about a dozen nails in the dirt. 3.I had to be very vigilant to ensure issues were resolved. Myriad small issues came up, which required lots and lots of back and forth on my part. Parts not replaced properly, contractors writing on trim that wasn't supposed to be painted, use of bleach in the power washing when they were supposed to use water that leaked under my door....just little stuff. Most, but not all, of the issues were solved, but it required significant follow-up on my part and more back and forth than I thought should have been necessary. I had to take time away from working to check up on the situation every day work was ongoing. One small issue was not solved: one of the gutter straps was not properly replaced. When I mentioned this to the project manager, she promised that she would come back the following day and do it. I was hesitant to provide the final payment without the work being completely finished, but the project manager asked me if I was really going to make her wait on payment for such a small thing, and made a note on my final invoice, so I thought it would be OK, and that withholding payment would be excessive. That was November 29. Since then, I have texted her at least 5 times asking when it would be done. At this point, I don't even want them to do it--I've hired someone else to take care of it. read more

Totally Thrilled! I used Superior Pro 10 years ago on another house and was very happy with the results back then. After moving to another home that needed a lot of work ( facia, soffit, doors, roof, windows, complete painting,etc) I went back to Superior Pro, and I'm so glad I did! They had to repair a lot of items including work done poorly by a previous contractor and paint the whole thing. It looks fabulous! I even have neighbors commenting on the great job done. Superior is very well run and organized. There is great communication throughout the processes and scheduling, including walk throughs and follow up with an assigned project manager (Roy was awesome). No questions went unanswered. I was working with a salesperson who was pleasant to work with. I got a quote on exterior siding repair, exterior paint and gutters. After 2 months, I emailed and texted the salesman to say I wanted to proceed with the work, but I didn't receive a return message. I called and they said he did work there anymore. They sent out another salesman who was a con and basically verbally quoted prices 3 times as much as the other salesman. I guess he saw the look on my face because he never sent a new quote in writing. This company is NOT organized, have very poor customer service and greedy sales people. 1st let me start by saying Buyer beware, if I could rate this company 0 stars I would . I scheduled an appointment for an estimate and they came out and spent 6 hours doing a detailed estimate.... The estimator promised to submit the estimate that evening and send me a copy.... I never heard from him.. about a week later I called and he stated he sent it........after investigating, he realized he sent it to the wrong email.... He explained how we needed to get on the schedule as soon as possible... so we signed a contract and paid the deposit of $5,500 ... so about 2 weeks later they send a second guy out to do a second estimate and he stayed another 6 hours.....I didn't understand why since we had already signed a contract and paid deposit...after the second guy left he told I should be getting a call from the scheduler to schedule..... So I'm waiting to get a date to start the project.... About 2 weeks later I call to see what the hold up was and she informed me that my estimator was going to give me a call... So I called him.... And his exact words to me was .." I know you're going to be mad, it's his fault, but he under estimated my job by $8,000 .. and he needed me to call the office and cancel and get my deposit back "......I had never been so humiliated in all my life... The actual quote was for $19,000, and he was say he under quoted me $8,000.... after reading the reviews I see this is a common practice of this company.... The worst part about it is, is they never offered any kind of compromise... as a matter of fact... I haven't heard anything from them !!! I was not happy with the frustration and time it took to complete our window replacement project. We liked the windows that they were wanting to install since they were top quality, but they did not color match the window capping/trim even though I told them I have HOA constraints at the very beginning of the project. The contractors showed up late and installed the windows within one day - but the capping color was completely off. Stuck out like a sore thumb. Yellow vs every other unit that had a cream color. Obviously we were furious with the work they'd done and I reached out to the project manger and at first he wanted to act like there was nothing he could do to fix it. Several phone calls later, and a month or so passing by, they finally got the correct color capping installed. The job they did was satisfactory, but the frustration was not worth it for the price. We contacted several companies to get siding and painting estimates. SuperiorPro came in with the best estimate that was in line with what I wanted and the repairs that made the most sense. I was not disappointed! Jennifer made sure that the repairs were done promptly and as we had agreed. Before they started painting, Jennifer and I took a walk around the house after the initial repairs were made and we found a few more areas that needed attention which she took care of within a day or two. I used Superior Pro for stucco repair on the front of my house in 2016 and was very pleased with their work. Based on that experience, I recently had them bid on some pretty extensive interior painting that was needed. After I was given a what I thought was a very fair bid, I asked them to do the job. Having been given a very clear idea of what I needed to do to prepare and what to expect during the process, i was all set on the days they were to start. The painters showed up on time and went right to work. Luis and his crew were polite, professional, and very good at their jobs. My wife and I we're very satisfied with the results. The project manager, Nate, and Luis gave me some very good suggestions on paint for the staircase and railings and they turned out great. The crew showed up every day on time, worked the full day and cleaned up every day before they left. They were very polite, open to any concerns I had and were respectful of my property. These days it's rare to find companies that do everything they say they'll do. These guys are the best. Next year I'll have them paint the exterior of my house! 8/28/2019. Ok, so i waited more than a year to get my house painted. Since the last review, these guys have painted most of the interior of my house (different crew did the interior painting), built shelving for the den, installed hardwood floors in my den. I was 100% satisfied with all the work done. They just finished the exterior painting but that's not the half of what they did. The stucco facade on the front of the house was old tired and honestly was never good at sealing the house from the year round elements. I had the folks at Superior Pro remove all the "stucco", replace it with hardy plank and install shutters. We love it!! Price was fair, work done was "superior". Although my house looks amazing it took forever to get it that way and not without me photographing the entire process which took over 7 months. With any contractors keep your eyes on the details and thank God I did. Never came on time, left a mess, nails left all over the lawn and communication was horrendous. The GM was a nice person but when it came down to keeping the team together and accountable it just didn't happen. They left a large hole in the wall that I asked to cover so critters wouldn't come in at the end of the day- and they left it open which led to a flying squirrel in my attic. 1200.00 later in trying to catch it. Then in trying to add a beautiful stone wall up the side of the house, it was the masonry company that stopped production because the wall was not equipped to hold it. Yes, they had to reinforce the project wall. When it was time to put on the gutters they placed them on wrong and left a beautiful water feature when you walked out of the kitchen to the deck. (a little joke) It was more like a rain shower. The contractors had no idea how to place them and that took another week. With the damages done to my shrubs, a flat tire, and a final meeting with the new owner. I refused to pay for the remaining balance which he granted me. Two years later, I am having a leak problem and actually thought it may be the roof that was replaced a year before the siding. I tried calling that company RCI (Chase Leonard) and he promised he would come to check on the roof and then refused to answer the calls. So I called Legacy Roofing Group and they came over and checked everything out. It was not the roof...but CHARACTER is not RCI's forte. (They must have been afraid to standby their warranty/ or continue a relationship with their clients) The PROBLEM was with Superior Pro and their contractors for the gutters. The covers were not put on correctly on the side of the house and over the past year water and was getting caught between the roof and the gutter and starting to leak into the master bathroom. Not only did Legacy come to the house on time, but they checked everything and went above and beyond. They fixed the problem and added materials to guarantee no more leaking. I chose not to call Superior Pro back because of a lack of trust. The roof is 30 feet high and would have been another opportunity to say it was complete. The PROBLEM is the final checkup of my home wasn't completed. Accountability is key, and when handing over thousands of dollars, CHARACTER AND PRODUCT go hand in hand. read more

The second project entailed patching sheet rock and painting and they didn't do a very good job. It is easy to see where they patched the sheet rock and they got paint all over the stained trim and didn't clean it up. When we called to complain they did send someone out to look at the work and agreed that the patchwork was very easy to see. He took pictures and said he would get back to us. A couple days later he reported that there was nothing else they could do. We got multiple prices before contracting with them and they were the highest priced vendor, but we thought we were paying for quality. My advice is to find someone else if the job entails more than simple painting. And to be honest, for that type of work you can definitely find someone cheaper. read more

We got 3 bids, and while they were not the least expensive, they were by far the most professional and helpful of the three. Our project manager, Bob Lain, was great, following up with me every day and working to ensure any issues or concerns were promptly addressed. After approving the initial bid, we also added pressure washing and some additional repairs, and I was pleased they quoted the added work at reasonable prices - not always the case for add-ons. Have told everyone I can DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. My roofing job cost me 3X quote because my awning was ripped from a tool falling off the roof, but they refused to take responsibility saying the awning was old. Two awning companies stated there was NO WAY the age would cause the rips. Mr Irwin Weitz sent a standard letter saying he believed his project manager rather than my claims. The painters did a good job. We did not have any left over paint so it's a bit difficult to match previous paint which already fading away. We thought the new paint color a little bit off. There was some stained under the deck but overall their craftsmanship were good. read more

Superior Pro was recommended to me by a friend who used them for his HOA exterior painting maintenance and for his personal inside trim color change. I had a large job...total interior paint change including a lot of patch work prep, and all trim....THEY WERE SUPERIOR. Dan James, project manager, painters Edwardo and Rubin were always on time daily for 2 weeks, very precise, and polite and responsive. My job was not an easy one, had not been painted for 17+ years, but they were vigilant and thorough. Went about their work with ease and determination. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. We recently used Superior Pro to paint the exterior of our home. We were very disappointed in the overall results. Although the project manager was good to get things fixed as we pointed them out, we feel that the work was overall very sloppy with little attention paid to details. There were way too many areas that were "missed" altogether, from the chimney to windows to siding and we are still finding little things that we are having to touch up ourselves. We paid far too much money for this type of outcome. And they were very messy, leaving paint in the yard on the grass and leaving insulation (from carpentry work repair). read more

It was a huge mistake. $10,000 for a new roof with shingles left almost completely overhanging the gutters causing rainwater to flow right over the gutters and damage the soffit and fascia. never once met the project manager. Met a self-described "overseer" who could not have been more rude and condescending as he spit tobacco everywhere during our conversation about the issue. Also ripped satellite dish off previous roof (at least they paid for replacement). Salesperson was nice and office professional but that won't pay for the future damage caused by poor workmanship and total unwillingness to fix the problem. read more

The absolutely WORST place to work with. DON'T hire them! First of all, they are arrogant. Called them to give us an estimate, the person on the phone said" We don't do any work under 1000$". Secondly, when the estimate whatever person came, she refused to give us an estimate just simply because we are still "UNDER CONTRACT" of the house we are buying. She simply just said we won't give you an estimate just for a negotiation tool for the seller in front of everyone. OMG!!! Can you believe it???? It is the house we are buying for sure, but DEFINITELY will not hire them to do any work, EVER!!!! read more
