Charlie showed us different options of things that we could do to save money without changing the footprint. Eugeniy kept us informed on the timeline as the windows were being made and then as the installation crew were installing. The installation crew were very tidy, professional and had all 32 windows installed in 2 days. Eugeniy stopped by to inspect the work. Completely seamless for us and by far our easiest home renovation project. I highly recommend Universal Windows Direct Of Atlanta.

The sales person Charlie met with me and took the appropriate measurements, was respectful of my time, and gave us plenty of options. Their professionalism was what sold me on the company--they were not trying to upsell me, or overcharge like other companies would (one other company gave us a 3 hour sales pitch and quoted 20k for the same six windows). Universal gave us a reasonable price and didn't take up unnecessary time. Eugeniy personally ordered the windows to the custom measurements, and when they arrived he brought one to store so that it wouldn't be damaged in transit. He had recommended that we install a new window in our exit door and it was the right call--that entire area looks much improved! The installers were prompt, professional, and the end result was clean, precise, and expertly done. Eugeniy himself came to check the quality of their work and made sure it was done to his standard before receiving the final payment. It is difficult to know who to trust with these projects--if you're looking for knowledgeable professionals who will meet your budgetary and time constraints, with great communication this is the company you want to go with. We will definitely be back in the future for other windows in our home!

I have used Atlanta Area Window & Door 2 times for front door installation at two different…read moreproperty locations. The first time, I'd give them a 5 star. But the second time, I'm giving them a 3 star. I don't have much to say about the first experience since I thought that they did a great job that I hired them for the second job. However, the second job was riddled with issues and heartache. I shopped for quotes from different companies and I awarded the job to Mark and his team. The reason I award the job to Mark is not due to the price but due to the thoughtful and experienced comments he made and when he addressed my questions. I thought that this guy was someone who care and was not in the job just for the money. However, Mark is not the one that actually does the door install. He had a different team install the door and that would be fine as long as there were no issues with the door install. But there were issues. The installation team are great people - someone you could grab a beer with and chat. But they lacked the problem solving and attitude of someone who owned their own business. Issue #1: After the door was installed, the door did not close well. I had to push extra hard to get the door to shut. I asked the installer if there is something he can do to fix that. He did what he can on installation day (took an entire day to install and they worked past 5pm) and had to come back on a different day. On the second day, they made some changes to the door sweep. This made the door close better. However, this created an issue with a gap between the bottom of the door and the floor. While walking outside at night, I saw streams of light shining from under the front door. This allowed insects to enter my house. I brought this to Mark's attention and asked him not to send the same crew to fix the issue because the installation guy had already told me that he did everything he can. Mark was able to ask another guy to come and fix the issue. The new guy showed up and fixed the issue within 30 mins or less. This guy owned his own door installation business and does the door install himself. During the whole ordeal, Mark showed up on day one to supervise and ensure everything was on track but he did not attempt to remedy the work himself. Issue #2: I paid the original door installers $xx (i forgot the amount) in cash to install a nest doorbell. The doorbell was installed but did not work because a transformer was required and they do not install transformers. I had to pay a separate guy to install the transformer. In hindsight, I would should have paid a separate guy to install doorbell who can also install a transformer if needed. This was probably my fault but I felt like I paid for something that didn't solve my problem. Issue #3: 1-2 months after the door was installed, i noticed that pads at the foot of the door had ripped. I asked Mark to fix and his response was that he would send some pads in the mail for me to fix myself. It's been a month and I haven't seen any pads in my mailbox. I paid almost $6K for doorframe and door (which i still have to paint myself). For this amount of money I was expecting a better streamlined, worry-free experience.

I have never had such a horrendous experience with a company EVER. Unethical, predatory employees,…read morespineless owner. I reached out to several companies back in May 2024 as I thought there was an issue that required window replacement, but it turned out I could fix it with caulk so I did not proceed with any quotes. My quote was done by Jeff. During my quote session, Jeff made several comments that I took as a misunderstanding of social cues, but I now know were not. Two months after my initial quote, I received a text message from Jeff's PERSONAL device. Prior to this, he had only communicated with me via a work device. This text from Jeff was disturbing, inappropriate, and concerning from a safety perspective. Jeff ABUSED his access to customer data to hit on a customer nearly HALF his age. I was hesitant to reach out to the company as I did not know these men (The owner, Mark, and Jeff) and feared retaliation; however, I did not want this to happen to another young woman so I left a review through the BBB. Mark reached out within a few hours expressing his apologies and disgust with Jeff's actions and assured me Jeff would be fired first thing Monday morning. I spent the weekend beefing up my home security system just in case. Come Monday, I hear nothing. Which was fine at first. Tuesday morning, I received an email stating that Jeff was not fired, that Jeff was a "good man", it would "be a loss for us to have to let him go", and asked for my forgiveness. Our definitions of what make a good man are vastly different. I also let Mark know that I would not be manipulated into offering my forgiveness for the sake of politeness or either of their consciences. After letting Mark know of my disappointment, I was told that Jeff never meant to send the text but "accidentally" pressed send while editing the text. This does not explain how Jeff got my phone number on his personal device in the first place. The argument they may use was "there was a discussion about his motorcycle while he was in your home and wanted to follow up on that conversation" but I invite whoever reads this to put themselves in my shoes. A man whom I do not know is in my home and is rambling about his hobby. He already inappropriately hugged me when he saw I owned power tools. Would you feel safe as a petite woman telling a strange man twice your age and twice your size "no, I do not care about your bike. Please leave"? I have already told all of my friends never to use this business due to the lack of ethics and a spine from the owner and its' employees. Your personal information is not protected and enlisting this business to do work to your home is only putting yourself, your wife, your daughters, and your family at risk. My intention here is not to get Jeff fired, but to notify my neighbors and fellow Cobb residents that this business is untrustworthy. His actions regarding this matter are well within his rights as owner and they show his backwards priorities, lack of character, and bad morals. But it is also within my right to protect other women and homeowners in the Cobb area from people like this.

From the moment we stepped in, the staff was wonderful. A young lady greeted us and promptly retrieved a very kind and personable sales representative (Jordan Brown) to assist. Jordan made us feel like VIP. He was very informative about quality, style, and cost of the windows we were inquiring on. We were quoted (to replace each window - our framing has been inspected and will not need replacing): *$399 4000-Series DH All-Weld *$119 Solar Zone Elite (Energy Star Compliant) *$129 Installation (+ a one-time $350 for Admin, Site Set Up & Disposal Fee) For 12 windows, our total is $8,114. I have heard mixed reviews about Window World, both positive and not so much. I go by how I am treated (and pray on it). Some have said this is a fair-good price while a good friend said, "With all of us being in an economic pandemic, and it being the end of the year, you should keep shopping!" We have been quoted less from other companies and even offered specials (Buy 2 Windows, Get 2 Windows Free). However, the last thing I want to experience is "Buyers Remorse Syndrome" and do not want to fall into the embarrassing "We got what we paid for". My 75 year old uncle is telling me, "A DIY is best - You and Hubby can do it!" We are DIY-ers with minor home jobs (plumbing, repairs, and enhancements). Can someone give me some sound, evidence-based insight? I would greatly appreciate it! MrAndMrsDIY-ers

Did some…read morechecking, they seemed good and went ahead with meeting with their sales rep and ordering an Amish build mahogany door. End-game was a very nice door (photos below). Let's talk details. Sales, quick to respond to a visit and to bring samples, gave a good presentation of options, but seeing a sample of their mahogany door, we were sold, even with the high price point. We talked through the design options and chose as you see a "Shaker" like design, two side panels, replacing the structure that we had. Picked the design from web-site examples. Chose a simple windows four in the door and two each side at eye level. Made the 50% deposit at the sale and then came the surprises. First was that it was a 4-5 month delivery. Oh, Ok I can understand custom building. Their installation duo (contractors?) came out and verified the door opening measurements, good to have thoroughness. Then I had to insist on receiving the design drawings from the sales rep. They were emailed to me. No sales/customer review of the detailed paper design document was offered or done (I wish that they had as you will see later). For 4 of the wait-months, no contacts, no news of updates. Feels like once the order was done, sales were done. As I had not heard, after about 3 and a half months I emailed and asked for a status and got a short re-oh from the sales rep; "we told you 4-5 months". OK, perhaps they're busy (sale was over?). Then after 5 months got a message doors will arrive the last day of 2025 (oh so more, like 5-6 months not 4-5, eh?). And earliest installation was four weeks later (now we are in the 6-7 month window. Installation duo was great. Came as scheduled. Did a thorough removal of the old door. Installed the new one. Trimmed it out inside and outside. When they installed it, I (sadly) realized that they had switched the side of the hinges and the door handle to the other side of the door (from the old door that I replaced). OK, my mistake yes I should have looked at the design documents closely and I did not. That is why I WISH THAT THE SALES GUY OR SOMEONE HAD PERSONALLY REVIEWED THE DESIGN DOCUMENTS WITH ME AND EXPLAINED THIS ITEM! Well as I said, the sale was over once I paid 50% and ordered, the sales guy was onto new customer no doubt! Anyway, the installers cleaned up afterwards. Interesting message when they left "if you don't hear a stain and varnish date in 2-3 weeks call the office to get one". That raised a sales / service question, when they scheduled the install, why on earth did they not ALSO schedule the completion step of stain and finish? When I heard their comment on timing I immediately called and talked to the office and was given an earliest next step (final) appointment 2 more weeks out. We were into the 7-8 month window, sales, build/delivery/insulation and finish! Looked at the door after installation and it had the two sidelights fully wrapped, as well as the glass covered in plastic. Understandable for shipping safety (the whole door unit was plastic wrapped, which was unwrapped before the installation, but the didn't remove the plastic on the side lights/glass). I asked the installers about it. "Oh the stain/varnish painter will remove them" Hmm, OK, strange. I took the plastic off, the whole side light was wrapped around even between the door frames. They had build/put the unit together WITH the plastic wrap in place, a strange way to construct! Stain and varnish person (Contractor) was excellent. Communicated well, handled a slight delay due to rain/snow/ice with professionalism. Did a great job of staining and finishing the trim (I would hire him for any paint work!). Done in the day. So net/net, a beautiful door. Looks great. Sales was good but after the sale somewhat ignored us. A good sales support team would have walked through the design and helped us catch the orientation switch. Marginal scheduling support, yes, do book both visits at once! Excellent install and finishing teams. I could not do a 3 star as the end door is very nice and installation and finish teams were great. I could not do a five star as the post sales support was poor, so they get a four star.

First install Nov 27, 2021 went so terribly wrong, subcontractors were so inadequately trained for these types of windows.
