This is a repost since the owner asked for me to take down the last one. This started in March of the year for specific siding repair. Emails and phone calls not answered after my questions on quote. Took a negative review for the owner to contact me. Got the reduced quote for the areas of concern, April. Now it is August, after owner came out to do a walkthrough, and tell me it would be a lot more (4 to 5 times as quoted). I have a quote, which I signed and sent to him in April. I understood it would be more with items underneath. But again, company has gone dark. I have filed an complaint under the BBB. read more

Back in 2016 timeframe, Painting Plus replaced our roof with GAF shingles as recommended. Fast forward to June 2025, several roof caps blew off the roof and needed to be replaced. Called Charlie and he agreed to send someone out right away to replace roof caps and repair any apparent roof damage. Very happy to say, Painting Plus responded quickly and made necessary repairs and covered under workmanship warranty. We had them to multiple projects including replacing an upper deck. We paid them 10s of thousands of dollars. We asked them for a final bill at the end of paid that bill in December of 2021. They can back 8 months later with an additional bill for $26,000 that they "forgot about." We paid it. We later had a strong rain which resulted in water in the formal living room below the deck. They took no responsibility. They said that they and the GC decided not to seal the area below the replacement. The entire formal living room is now taking on water, ruining the floor, the furniture, the ceiling and the electronical in the ceiling. They showed absolutely no concern so I would definitely recommend using anyone else. read more

I was President of our HOA when we selected Painting Plus to build a new tennis pavilion and chaired the Pavilion Building Team when they built the pavilion this year. Painting Plus improved the project at their cost several times so we had improved railings and more sidewalk space than planned. The pavilion was built in a flood plain with water table 4 feet below the surface so Painting Plus installed helical piers under the pavilion to support it with some of the piers being 42 feet deep to get needed torque. They also moved drainage pipes and surface runoff from the parking lot so water drains well for our HOA now. The vaulted ceilings look really impressive as does the entire project. Kent and Charlie were great to work with and I highly recommend working with Painting Plus. Our neighborhood is very picky and Painting Plus exceeded all expectations. read more

The good is that the work they did was good, and I am very happy with the results from that work. The bad is that one or more workers took tools and other items from my toolbox in the garage. When confronted, the project supervisor, Wes, acted like I was not telling the truth and he offered no apology for my inconvenience in having to replace the items taken. Atlanta Painting Company did a good job with my inside painting. My painting project included an exercise room, den, bonus room, and a kitchenette . There is stained wood floor molding in every room. I was very happy with the overall painting and clean up. Efren was the painter, his preparation and detail was good. I would recommend him again. Marcus was the project manager, he visited the site each day. He listen to any of my concerns and made sure that they were address. I paid for the services once the job was complete and all of the paint was dry. This gave me time to clean and arrange things back in place before the final payment. One thing I can't tolerate in a business is disrespect for a potential customer. We had Painting Plus come out and give us an estimate for a small siding repair job. James came out and looked at the job. He committed to get back with an estimate within two days. I did not hear from James for a week so I called him. No answer so I left a voice mail message. Five days later no callback. Now I can understand the job was small and perhaps Painting Plus was not interested, but please be courteous enough to tell me you are not interested. Don't just ghost me and leave me hanging. I believe you can tell how good a company is by how they treat each of their customers. Based on the poor treatment, failure to meet commitments and lack of respect, as well as their lack of judgement in angering a potential client (and reference), I do not recommend Painting Plus of Marietta. read more

The crews have worked together for years the average appears to be 15+. They have a great vibe... 7. All the crews are specialized. There is a deck crew, siding crew, and an electrician. There is a painting crew and a finishing carpenter. Everything gets run through one person: your project manager. 8. There is NO UP SELLING. There are no "hidden" fees/surprises. 9. The project manager and the owner of the company is ALWAYS available (phone, text or email). 10. Punctuality. They arrive around 8, 8:30 and leave around 6, 6:30. 11. PaintingPlus thinks outside the box so our 1979 house now looks modern and the little touches that PaintingPlus came up with were things I never thought of that make the house "a home". 12. Trust. I hired Painting Plus to re-roof my home after having been pleased with their painting. Also. Charlie Sr was a neighbor of mine. On the last day of the job, their roofers put a nail through a sprinkler pipe, flooding my entire house. After assuring me that they would "make it right," their insurance company would pay for and repair the extensive damage to my home, they walked away from the claim, saying it wasn't their fault. I couldn't reach them, they were completely unresponsive. My insurance company paid to have the extensive ($30,000+) damage repaired. I had to pay my deductible. Painting Plus rebuilt my side and back decks last summer. The workmanship and aesthetics was great. There were a few minor issues and they came back immediately to fix them. However, a few months ago, I discovered that they accidently covered the outside dryer vent when rebuilding the side deck, causing me to have to buy a new dryer. November 2018 Update: We requested paint warranty service in December. April 2019 Update: They wouldn't honor warranty. We experienced: Bait-and-switch pricing; poor quality; damage to our home; horrendous communication; and absolutely no consideration for our time. We chose Painting Plus (PP) because this company had internet reviews that were positive, Our project was three sides siding install, paint all, gutters/covers, and a new front deck (about $15,000 - total). PP wasn't the lowest price. A 1-2 week project took PP over 2 months from start to finish! We ended up being a project coordinators and quality control! A brief detail of some of our experience with PP: Bait-and-switch No PP management (who could speak English) was onsite for the siding nor the painting project When the siding installers arrived, PP said back deck boards would need to be removed to properly flash the back deck, and do it the "right way". The PP sales person suggested that that would cost "$300-$400 more. PP wanted to charge more money too properly seal front deck from water (so that water doesn't drip behind stucco). We hired a "general contractor". We were asked to contact the painters directly. PP painted and damaged the aluminum window trim Quality After PP communicated they were done, we had to do our own quality reviews! PP seemed to want us to point out "issues" (PP is a "professional" painting company!). We pointed out dozens of quality problems, and unfulfilled contractual items. Soffits were not scraped and bare wood primed. We then endured several visits from project manager, painters, and the sales person to "communicate" the issues. There were dozens of unpainted and un-caulked areas, and "cuts" that were looked like a child did the painting The paint coverage on the back deck was poor. After the THIRD time the painters came back to fix issues, there was STILL "pencil width" bubbles in the paint. The posts on the front deck had 1/2" (or more) gaps where the boards should meet. PP splattered caulk in the gaps to "fix"! Damage that existed when sales communicated to us that PP was done with our project: ALL metal window casings were damaged by workers (ladder fell on one). A three foot length of DAMAGED siding was installed A 18' length of siding was "bowed" I was initially told (by sales person) that our white colored window trim could not be painted (because it's metal). About 1/2 of the metal window trim were painted the siding color! When this was pointed out to PP, they painted the rest of the metal trim the color of the siding! Consideration: PP worked at "their schedule" - consideration for our time, schedule, and lifestyle was not demonstrated: There was absolutely NO clean-up on a WEEKLY basis (forget daily basis). All scrap gutters; scrap lumber, NAILS, sawdust, etc. were strewn throughout our yards for several WEEKS. Multiple requests to clean up were always met with "tomorrow PP showed up unannounced at least three times. One occurrence: PP scheduled to arrive on 11/30/16 (after noon). On the day before, 11/29/16 at 8:00am, they were "leaning on" the doorbell. We "lent" our power sprayer to wash the back deck when the painters showed up with inadequate equipment!. We had to listen to numerous unproductive "salesy excuses" from the sales person. The gutters were scheduled to be installed on a Friday. They didn't show. Payment Approximately four weeks before the project was finally complete, the PP sales person texted that he was coming to pick up final payment. About 2 weeks before the project was complete, the project manager was texting to request payment. The "100% percent satisfaction" was lip service. 4-26-19: Owner (Charles) he wants us to call him? We left more than six messages at PP, and no one at PP returned a single call call. Not one. No one at PP knows about our calls? Please.... read more

Painting Plus provided me with an estimate that was twice the other three estimates I received. I didn't sign with them. About three weeks later they began texting me acting like they were the company I had chosen and wanted to set up dates to work. We were out of town and I thought they were the company we had chosen so they sent a man to repair stucco. No one was home to check his identification so he started. He repaired 17 Lag Bolt holes four of which were incorrect, and didn't even attempt the other three. They charged me $750.00 without ever having a contract. Charlie was recommended to me by my agent to repaint my entire house interior after purchasing a beautiful home in desperate need of an upgrade. Knowing I was worried given the large scope of the project, Charlie went above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable with the paint colors before moving forward, working with multiple samples and clearly talking through the different paint types and why he was using them for different areas in the house (why trim and shutters should use one type versus the kitchen island versus the walls, etc). He committed to a timeline and stuck to it. He made a fantastic recommendation for our floors and a flooring company that did a wonderful job. Most importantly, he was always present-- available for phone calls and regularly coming on-site not only to monitor and assess his crew's progress but also to get his hands dirty himself- a very rare quality indeed. Since he worked closely with the flooring company and electric company, he ensured a smooth flow of scheduling and even sent his team back to do shoe molding and floorboards after the floors were done as he knew they would require additional attention after ripping up the floors. The paint job is absolutely stunning-- it looks like a completely different house and I'm really pleased with the results. Since then, I've expanded my projects with Charlie to include painting my garage, power-washing and staining my barn and brush-cutting my property. Charlie truly does it all. When I was ready to sign off Jeremy Coates informed me that he had given me too low of a price and would need to increase the quote up to $3700 to cover his cost! That's a 30% increase! I would not recommend Painting Plus. The owner Charlie is a jerk; he didn't show up once between quoting the job & picking up the final payment. And he wanted payment before the paint was even dry. I told him no, we were still finding things they needed to touch up, & he went nuts! We still find places where they totally half-assed things and we've had to clean up or re-do their work. Worse yet, I call them for something basic to fix that they broke, and they blow me off. What's going to happen if something major happens? I guess we're on our own. The part that irritates me is when they know they screwed something up, they expected you to live with it AND pay them full price for their screw-up. Worked with Painting Plus to paint the exterior of our house as well as install gutters through their Gutters Plus division. I worked with Matt who did a good job managing the painting of the exterior of our house despite multiple delays due to weather and their main painter injuring themselves. Our main issue came with the gutter install. We initially chose Painting Plus despite their higher than other quoted price we received because they would be able to work through both our painting and gutters. However, a few days went by after our painting was completed without us hearing or seeing anyone show up for gutters. It took me calling Matt and the company multiple times to understand when to expect the gutters. While they blamed it on a packed Gutter-install schedule, I cannot help but believe that they completely forgot about our job due to the frantic responses we received that were unable to give us a timeline 4 days past the completion of painting. read more

I recently hired Painting Plus to complete $4400 worth of work to my home: replacing rotten trim, replacing two windows, and a few other miscellaneous things. A job that should have taken a few days to perform stretched over few weeks. Someone from their crew would schedule a time with me (some of the work was inside) and I'd take time of work to meet them, only to have them fail to show and fail to call. They never replaced my screens or portions of my gutters and they discarded portions of my house alarm system in my old windows even after I alerted them to that issue. Icing on the cake? I called to complain several times and their response basically like, "yeah, hard to find good workers, sorry." Overall a very bad experience. read more
