If you're looking for a great vibe for brunch, this is definitely the place. They have a great menu and awesome drink options. I ordered a chicken and waffles and a rose sangria. The chicken and waffles was perfect and the strawberry butter was delicious. The rose sangria was also very refreshing. My partner ordered a meat lovers omelet without onions and it came with onions and without home fries. Despite that little hiccup it was also delicious. I would definitely go here again. Dinner menu is average. Food is good, nothing special. The brunch menu? War crimes. At surface level it seems fine but then you start reading what's in each dish and it's the most random list. The brunch drinks are also all over the place. It just seems like they wanted to be open for brunch for extra money, only had bar menu food in hand, and then threw random things haphazardly to class it up. read more

Sometimes you just want a cheap beer and a place to watch the game. If that's the case, you can get a bottled beer here for around five dollars and probably a seat with a view of a television set. If you want more than that, keep looking. We found Assembly via Yelp. We were looking for a place near a T (it's about a ten minute walk from North Quincy) where we could watch the game. We were hoping for seats at the bar, planning to hang for the duration. Maybe we should have said as much? I don't know what else to do at a bar except order drinks to let the tenders know you're serious about being there but this crew didn't seem to want to serve drinks. Or anything. They had attitude from the get-go. It took a ton of effort to flag any one of them down for service and when we did it felt like we were interrupting their kaffeeklatch. Management (ha!) has to train these servers that they're there to serve, drinks and food, not to hang with their besties. Drinks were problematic. The cocktail was just okay -- probably light on the alcohol -- and really basic. The white wine was the wrong kind of wine. The craft beers were served in warm glasses. But we didn't say anything. It's a big night, afterall. We just want to enjoy ourselves. Food was bad. We got guacamole and chips for a group appetizer. The chips were flat-out stale. The guac was bland. (How about some salt? Some spice?) It was also served in a big glob on the plate with chips tossed around it. Okay, whatever. We didn't complain. It's a big night, whatever. We got chicken wings -- which were decent -- but they came with the wrong sauce. We had to ask for the right sauce. And we got lamb lollipops, which were an unmitigated disaster. It says they come with garlic bread (an odd choice to begin with), peppers, and tzatziki sauce. The peppers were whole. Who eats whole peppers? The garlic bread was tossed randomly around the plate, like your Southie grandmother chopped it up from a loaf she got at Stop'n'shop. And the lamb -- gray and soggy from (either) overcooking or a ton of time under the lights -- was full of bone shards as if it had been butchered by a blindfolded busboy, his first day on the job. It should be a crime to ruin lamb this way. The tzatziki sauce was spread like a melted ice cube on the bottom of the plate, runny and tasteless. If there were scores for presentation, this would get a minus ten. I thought they were bringing us a plate that had already been used. And the taste? None whatsoever. I wasn't sure if this was standard, but then a lovely young lady, a regular at the bar, someone who loves what they do there, stood next to me at the bar and chatted me up. She said, Oh, I love the lamb lollipops here! and then she looked at ours, scrunched her nose, and said, uh, those don't look like they usually look. Those are bad. But when I mentioned the poor execution to the manager -- who let our full plates sit there without any attention for a Very Long Time -- he argued that these were his best sellers and, in reference to the poor butchering, that I was "not supposed to eat the bone." In response to my (very polite first and only) complaint, he slammed dishes on the bar in front of us as though he was practiced in domestic violence, like a wife-beater, as though threatening us on top of everything else was going to make it better. He argued that this is how they were supposed to be, and suggested that I had never had a lamb lollipop in my life. I assured him that I'd had many, and had even cooked them. Grey inside -- hard and tasteless -- lamb should never be that way. He comped us the lamb -- a measly $12 -- but when you spend a night out, a comped app is not the goal. A good time is the goal. In this case, the service and the product both considerably dampened the pleasure. After that, the bad service turned non-existent, even tho the game was far from over. It was as though he said to the already disaffected servers, of whom he was one, ignore those folks. We couldn't get last drinks, we could barely get one glass of water -- no refills. And, of course, they messed up the bill. At one point, even before the lamb fiasco, I had trouble getting the server to bring me a second beer. Two men walked up behind us and she immediately spoke across us and asked them what they wanted. I jokingly said to the guy, I'd like one of those, too. He said, oh, let me order for you. When the server came back, he said to her, "This girl would like another one of those" and pointed to my glass. I got that drink pretty quickly. But WTF? Why should I have to ask some random guy to order for me? Oh, and the bathrooms? A mess. The audio from the television is blasted into the very small space at about ten-times the volume of the rest of the restaurant. It's actually painful. Toilet paper dispensers don't work. I really want to love this place because it's within walking distance so there is no need for car service to avoid drinking and driving. The food is tasty and even creative considering the location, good cocktails as well but the service is painfully slow. The waitstaff all seem to look alike so you can't figure out who the hell to flag down. I've been here twice and it really doesn't matter if it's a busy night (first visit) or a slow night (second visit), service just sucks. The poor kid - he might have been 9 years old - at the table next to us was beside himself the other night, he wanted to leave so badly but our waitress was no where to be found to take his father's credit card. The food is good with the steak tips and short rib pizza being our favorites. However, trying to find the waitress to correct a mistake on one plate took forever. The food would be 3.5 stars but service on both visits makes this place 2 stars and give us no reason to ever return. read more

I'm proud to say that we are regulars at Assembly. They switch up their specials daily which always include seafood. The seafood prices are extremely reasonable. Tonight I enjoyed lobster ravioli for $18 and got 2 huge claws, and at least 8 ravioli stuffed with lobster, topped with broccoli and prosciutto. One favorite from the regular menu is the mussels with white wine garlic sauce which comes with kielbasa and garlic bread. The sauce is so good that we always request a spoon. Trivia on Wednesday is always a good time. My only critique is that when a big game is on, they play music instead of the audio to the game. read more

I went to Assembly for a brunch date with my friend. The Brunch Punch is amazing. It's light and drinkable for any type of sports bar outing. The breakfast wasn't the best I've had. The eggs were overcooked. The hollandaise sauce was almost white in color. And they had run out of pancakes so we went with a waffle which was good but not a fluffy delicious waffle. Our waitress was very good at her job and I loved her as a server. But I love this place just not my go to for brunch. read more

Definitely overpriced for Quincy with no admiration. Second time I went, I had a Cesar and chili. The salad was OK. It is kinda difficult to screw up salads after all! The chili had no kick to it. Assembly is a great new restaurant and bar in North Quincy. While I was a big fan of Murphy's (the prior restaurant in that space) Assembly is much nicer - it even looks like it could be in Boston somewhere. It's much more than a boring neighborhood pub with trendy industrial lighting, exposed brick and dark wood. And the food is great - my fiancé had the steak tips and said they were juicy, tender and very tasty. I had a huge salad with their homemade white balsamic dressing which was delicious. Overall we had a great experience and plan on going back very soon! read more

The first impression was this place is modern and upbeat. The atmosphere is great. We started with drinks, worth mentioning good beer selection. We ordered bunch of appetizers-Buffalo skins, Fried calamari, Chicken wings, Chicken quesadilla, Turkey tips were to name a few. The food was really great. But the service troubled us all along. The staff was changing shifts and were so lean staffed for a thursday evening. When we first walked in there was only 1 person taking care off the bar area and we had a tough time getting the drinks. We had to help ourselves to get seated. But as the night progressed things settled in and so does the service although it was still sloppy. The noise was horrendous too but can't complain. Good thing is they have a back deck area if you want to avoid the noise. It gets packed on weekends as well as weekday evenings so be prepared to wait a bit to be seated. Overall a great experience with drinks and food, service could have been better. The parking is a bit tricky as it is located on a busy street in quincy. read more

It was a Sunday and I was bored. The sun was out and the weather was good. So I when out for a run and built up a appetite from it. I did a yelp check in the area and found this. They had boom sauce on draft. I ordered a appetizer, calamari, and a chicken sandwich. The app came out very fast and it was hot and fresh. The sandwich came out hot too. The food was good all around. It is on par with alot of the good new bars popping up all over boston. The look of this place is beautiful. Good modern design made of dark wood. It's a nice place to drop in and grab a drink and some grub. Not much to complain about here. read more

The lollipop lamb chops and amazing. I've tried the steak tips and wings and while they are good the lamb chops are the star of this place they have a great beet salad that I usually get to go with them. Drinks are delicious and not skimpy on the alcohol. Never had any problems with the service. Can get crowded especially on a nice day when they have the big windows open. read more

This spot is always packed as I pass through to get home and I finally had a chance to stop in for a few drinks and apps. This is probably my favorite sports bar in Quincy. Really great cocktails and they have specials everyday! I've been here a handful of times and I've never been disappointed by the menu. Fish tacos, Salads, Burgers, Salmon, Fries, everything I've ordered here has been GREAT, and the portions are pretty large as well which I love because who doesn't love left overs!? There are TVs covering the walls and different sports playing, so there's something for everyone. I definitely recommend. Im rating 4 stars because parking isn't great, other than that it's a fun casual night out. read more

This place deserves 4 stars because the spicy buffalo pizza is delicious! You can never go wrong with this item and is my go to meal (the chicken is a bit fried which I prefer over pulled chicken on a pizza). I've tried the pork, chorizo, loaded fries as well, and they are good, but the fries themselves were a bit on the over fried part which makes some of them too crunchy to be edible. The lamb burger is ok, nothing that makes the burger particularly memorable, and the wings are basic. The drinks are alright, I don't find they're as smooth as I'd like, but they are strong so if you're into that then you might like the mixed drinks. read more

I've been here a few times when it opened, but haven't had the food again until recently. I ordered take out one night and ordered the cheeseburger with fries, crispy chicken wings, seafood saute pasta, and short rib and potato flatbread. What amazed me was how fast it took. They said it would only be 15 minutes and they were not kidding. The only downfall was the fact that they forgot the mustard and pickles on the cheeseburger (which was a pretty big disappointment..so I was really tempted to only give them 4 stars due to this). I didn't get to try the crispy chicken wings and seafood saute pasta (my cousin ordered it), but he said it was delicious and they were very generous with the seafood portions. He's a huge food critc so I'll take his word for it. The cheeseburger was cooked medium rare just the way I liked it and the fries were good. The buns were on the soggier side, but we showed up 10 minutes later than the pickup time so it's probably our fault. I had to save the best for last because the short rib and potato flatbread was AMAZING. I wouldn't think to order this, but my boyfriend made me try it and my standard for flatbreads has not been the same. The braised short rib was tender and juicy, but what i really want to talk about is the potatoes in it. The mashed potatoes with the cheesy flatbread is heavenly. The rich creamy flavor from the potatoes paired with the gooey cheese and the crispy flatbread is a brilliant combination. All I have left to say is..you have to try it! read more

I've been here several times before but the last time was over a year ago. So we decided to stop by here for dinner tonight and I'm glad we did! The interior is very nicely decorated. It's a rustic/modern design with a large bar on one side. Seating is very comfortable at the booths. At night it can be pretty loud with the music but I didn't mind. Food is good quality and they give you big portions at affordable prices. Tonight we had the steak tips and pork chop special. Steak tips were cooked perfectly and very tasty. They don't skimp on the portions. The onion rings were also very good, nice batter on the outside. The pork chop was nicely cooked. I'm usually hesitant to order pork chop at restaurants because most of the time it comes out over cooked and dry. But this wasn't the case at all. It was seasoned perfectly and was accompanied by a red wine sauce. Definitely plan on coming here again. They have a separate daily specials menu that I look forward to trying out. read more

We had the Assembly Slam (choice of 2 eggs with bacon or sausage and toast) and the Farmers Omelet. The omelet was very good and had plenty of fresh veggies. The slam was pretty generic and nothing special, but was a good value. Assembly serves a Maple Ketchup with the meal, which is something different but GREAT. (Even the wedge salad) Wings= super salty! Literally, I felt so salted up after the app that I wasn't really in the mood for food. This is our local and go-to for when my SO wants to watch a game at the bar instead of at home. The food is good - I don't think anyone has ever gotten something that they wouldn't recommend - and service is typically fast and reliable. We almost always are there lingering over drinks over the course of a game, so getting servers that know how to keep an eye on you and be there when needed without being annoying or overly persistent is great. I'm a big fan of the fish tacos (now only on the app menu - there used to also be a main dish). SO is a big fan of fish sandwich. The Southwest wrap is almost always ordered by at least one person in our group. I had the Chicken Parm entree last time we were there and it was enough for three meals (which says a LOT coming from me as someone who is constantly fighting of runger). Always ask what they have on tap - the menu is never updated but they do keep a decent rolling selection on tap. read more

We live down the street from this place and have been here a ton. Early on the food wasn't so great and neither was the beer selection but now both the food and the drinks are great. It's much busier than usual when we're here though which means it can be hard to get a seat or a servers attention- this is no worse than any other restaurant and it is what it is Tonight we got the buffalo chicken quesadilla, the short rib waffle fries special, and the bistro salad. For me the quesadilla was the standout. It was probably the best one I've ever had. It had caramelized onions and was perfectly balanced. I initially thought the blue cheese that came with it was ranch- and wouldn't have eaten it alone but it was a great pairing for the quesadilla. The short rib waffle fries weren't my favorite- I felt like the short ribs were kind of dry and that the dish could've used more of the chipotle dressing that was drizzled on it but they were ok. I might not order them again but if someone at my table ordered them I'd definitely pick. The bistro salad was a solid salad- it had beets and potatoes and was a really good balance to be other dishes we ordered. Much needed veggies read more

If I could give zeros stars I would. This is my second terrible experience here and I've decided to share it this time. Upon arrival we were advised that my father and I could sit anywhere we please. We chose to sit by the bar on the high tops. We waited over 20 minutes until I went to the host stand and advised the hostess we have not been greeted. She went over to call a server who brought us over two waters and stated our server will be with us shortly. However that wasn't the case.. she spent over 35 minutes in conversation with another table discussing nothing pertaining their service.
