I never write a review on the day of a new purchase, I usually wait a week. This review has taken a bit more time to write. Bear with me and I'll explain why I say you'll never find a more dedicated team than the one at Aspen Sound in Boise, Idaho. I own a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee and like most people, the stock radio just wasn't cutting it. Aspen Sound had installed an upgrade radio in my 2007 Tiburon, went flawless. Walked in back in February of 2018 to upgrade the Jeeps radio. Met Austin and he would be my point of contact going forward. Told him that I was looking for something that was compatible with Apple Car Play. I had my eye on a Kenwood DDX9903S, researched it and just a matter of preference. Austin said they could install the radio but it would require a new bezel that included upgrading the ECU as well. The bezel is the face plate the radio resides in and the ECU is the Environmental Control Unit. This was because the new radio was a double din and the original bezel wouldn't support it. I also had them install a backup camera. A day later and everything was spot on, better than I could imagine. Here is what sets this team apart from the rest of the competition and a shout out to Austin. Within just a few days the ECU started acting up. It would grey out the buttons and reconfigure itself for features my Jeep does not have. Spoke with Austin he said to stop by and he'll take a look at it, did just that. They went through it with a fine tooth comb, verified every wire and checked the power source. They reset the unit and it was good to go. A short time later the unit started acting up again with the same symptoms, this time it went completely black. Austin said stop on by and I did so again. They went through and could find no reason for it to be failing. He figured it was a bad unit and he would get another unit ordered. New unit arrives in pretty short order and they got it installed. Again, verifying the wiring, power source and even burned the firmware. We are good to go... so I thought. The new unit was starting to reprogram itself with features I didn't have and just acting pretty much like the last one. I spoke with Austin, he said to stop on by and he'll check it out. When I got there, he mentioned that one unit might be bad, but two, what are the odds. He mentioned that he was going to order another Bezel and ECU interface that was made by a different company. I told him that sounds like a good plan and I appreciated him doing that. Within a week the new unit arrives, and I leave the Jeep for the day, just in case the connectors and or plugs are different. Picked up the Jeep the next day and it was spot on. It's been two weeks and nothing as skipped a beat. No bizarre self-programming, no greyed-out buttons and no black outs. It worked as good as it looked. From start to finish it was almost 2 1/2 months and not once did they ever give you that "sigh of here we go again", you know the one I'm talking about. They worked the issue until both the issue was solved and I was satisfied. They were courteous, polite and beyond professional. This is the kind of dedication towards a customer most can only hope for walking into a store. This is the kind of dedication that the Aspen Sound Team in Boise, Idaho brings to the game. A little over a year ago, I bought two subs, and an amp from the guys at Aspen Sound. I love my setup and until just a few days ago, I hadn't had any issues. I started my car and was all set to jam out to Def Leopard but my subs stayed silent. I called the guys at Aspen and they told me to bring it in and they'd give it a look. After about 20 minutes (the whole time I'm dreading what it'll cost me to solve the problem) they came to the conclusion that my amp was busted. I'd hoped it was still under a warranty because I couldn't afford another $250.00 for a new amp, but Austin Nyland helped me out. He pulled it out to be sent off for repairs. I should have it back in just a week or two. A big thank you to my new buddy, Austin, and to all of the awesome, friendly, and professional guys at Aspen Sound. I can't say enough good about this place! I was treated so good and fully taken care of. My dad just died and so did my radio. These guys had no clue on what I was going through but they treated me just like I was a family member. There was a 2 hour wait time but when the good guy found out that I had to wait because I lived 1 hour away 3 men jumped on it and it only took 20 min. When I waked in the door I had no clue on what I wanted and they weren't looking to charge me money but what I was in need of. I am so sorry but I can't remember the man's name who helped me, anyway he guided me to a radio that was cheaper and better than the one I was thinking about. Unbelievable service! Went in there looking for a stereo for my daughter's car at 5pm, mind you they close at 6. Found what we wanted, yes they are a little bit higher priced than maybe a Best Buy, but you absolutely get what you pay for. Brett went above and beyond to make my daughter's stereo look awesome, and they did the install while we waited. They worked past closing for us, and got it done in about an hour.I cannot say enough. The stereo installation is amazing, and they even did a few extras for her. Lastly, after closing Brett stayed with us and explained exactly how the stereo worked. Had them install remote car start in wife's 2 year old car but the battery kept going dead after install. Made an appointment to bring it back and the checked it out and said all is good. Car has good battery and alternator and never had problem before they installed remote car start. In fact today she had to get ride to work because it wouldn't start despite being run for 15 minutes two days ago. Staff was extremely rude both visits. Argued with me about capabilities of car stereo they sell but I own. Now I get a remote car start for Christmas and they won't install because it wasn't bought there. I wanted to share my Aspen Sound story. Brett was awesome to work with, my story is a long one with stereo and install that spans a few months on my truck......But with my patience and their far far far above average service, Aspen Sound made it right! I didn't really know much about car stereo. Went in to replace my stock receiver. Just wanted something new that would play cd's. Spoke with Austin and as he educated me it became apparent that if I was going to put any new stereo components in my truck it was better to get something I was going to like for a long time. So, all new speakers, new subwoofer and amp, also an upgrade to the receiver I thought I wanted. The result was absolutely amazing. The staff and installers have always been professional, nice and demonstrated their experience each time we have taken our car to them for audio or other accessory needs. After a little over a year after they installed a remote starter, one of light indicators stopped working. We made an appointment with Aspen Sound on Fairview. They found the issue to be within the electrical wiring/sensor and repaired/replaced it for free. Thank you for the great work! read more

Austin and the crew at Aspen Sound in Boise did a great job with replacing my 12 year old car radio and cd player. I now have a new digital touch screen radio/cd player with back up camera and Sirius antenna! These guys are awesome! Our DVD player was being glitchy. Another place in town wouldn't even look at it to repair the system and just wanted me to spend $500+ to replace it.
