This spot is great for breakfast or lunch. Large selection of food and great coffee options. The servers, Kat & Travis, are exceptional.

My boyfriend and I are visiting from KC. We love a good breakfast/brunch joint. I checked Yelp and read the mixed reviews, decided to go with the latest review (which was very positive) and check em out. SO glad we did! We sat at the bar and Travis was our server. We also met the owner and her son. They all gave us great recommendations on food and things to do in the area. Everyone was so friendly and personable. Now the food...SO delicious! My boyfriend got the steak burrito. I got biscuits and gravy. Both were amazingly tasty and I kept stealing bites of his burrito. The green chili sauce was great and it had a ton of steak! Great portions. My b&g was delicious as well! I saw French toast and it looked great! I'll try it tomorrow! Definitely give them a try! You won't be disappointed! read more

My last visit to Aspen perk Café. You stand by the same that says wait to be seated for five minutes and then someone wants to sit wherever you want. I watch this happened three times. How hard would it be to turn the sign around or sit wherever you want? One of my two eggs ordered medium was hard as a rock, the other one was fine. I put $30 down on the bill which was for $20 and went to the restroom I the came back and there was no change so I guess waitress decided that a 50% tip was deserved. I always leave 20% but 50% you need to be pretty special and this place is not special! read more

The foods was ok, the waitress was as nice as she was utterly incomplete. The restaurant had only a few tables seated yet after taking our order, we still hadn't received our food over an hour later. When we inquired what was causing the wait the waitress told that they were slammed. That was obviously not the case. She told us that our food would arrive in about 20 minutes--just the amount of time it would take for an order to come out if placed with the kitchen at that time. Other couples seated after we arrived ordered, received their food and even left before we even saw our food. Once the food did arrive, she dropped a plate, spilled sauce on one of us, kept forgetting forgotten items. The food was cold before the entire dish that should have come with it arrived. Hopefully other wait staff is more competent because the food might have actually been good if it wasn't served in such a haphazard manner. read more

Local wanting a reason to return. Food and service were good. Nit-picky pricing would be reason not to return. Asked for coffee and water and they brought bottles of water. Never mentioned that was what they were bringing. Would have declined for the additional cost they charged ($1 for a .40 bottle of water). Asked for gravy on Bfast potato's...$4 for a ladle of gravy! I can see a Buck or something, but common...you're giving me reason not to come back instead of reasons to come back. Want our local merchants to succeed, but not like this. Terrible service. Being busy is not an excuse to offer slow and very unfriendly service. $6.00 is a lot to pay for a side of some biscuit and sausage gravy that has no sausage in it whatsoever. Soooooo, this place is not a coffee shop. True, they sell coffee...but more of an afterthought to the breakfast business and whatever else. My aunt and I rolled in to get a couple to-go cups of coffee and they seemed a bit surprised by this for some reason. We got coffee eventually. First visit -Possibly my hopes were too high as restaurants pickings are thin up here. Service = 5 stars, waitress was on point and very efficient Cobb Salad = 3 stars, basically was big bowl of lettuce with only a few toppings. But the lettuce was fresh and the elements that were in salad were acceptable. Burger = 1 star. It was a burger yep, but totally underwhelming. It came out on one of those two part skillets . (Wood piece on bottom, with the lift off pan on top) the problem here is THE PURPOSE of that pan is to heat the top piece - and not pull it from the ummm, FREEZER???. Thus my burger and the 9 French fries ( I exaggerate only very slightly here) were sitting on a very cold metal pan. As such both my burger and the few fries were limp and cold and much less than desirable Value = 0 Stars. There is very little value here. The prices are high (as are many places up here) but if the food was great that fact is easily overlooked and understood. However for AspenlPerk, it felt to me that they are inflated simply in an attempt to save the business from falling revenue. ( P.S. this plan never works ). Ambiance = 3stars. It was clean enough, but it did not have a very comfortable vibe. read more

Me and my brother showed up at 9, one other table was sat. We ordered coffee, milk, and two paninis, and it took almost an hour. The waiter wasn't attentive at all, spilled milk on the table, didn't offer to clean it up. I had to almost yell to get his attention for a refill. As another reviewer stated, I'm also surprised this place doesn't have better reviews. My wife and I live up here, and initially were scared off by what we saw on Yelp. But a couple different neighbors told us of their good experiences, and we decided to give Aspen Perk a try. Thank goodness we did! I've been to every breakfast place in Bailey and Conifer, and honestly Aspen Perk has the best food for the best price in town. So far I've tried the omelets, pancakes, breakfast tacos, and various scrambles. All totally awesome, and the green chile is on point too! All of the staff have been very welcoming and friendly as well. I think that Aspen Perk may have had some initial issues when they opened, but they've certainly rectified that! We have been to the Perk 7 times now for breakfast over the past year, have had many items on the menu and have been served by every staff member. The people are nice, but the service is something else. We came in asked for patio seating, the hostess said its available but needed to be bussed. Then a group of 4 behind me asked the same and got the same answer. Waited... no updates... the group of 4 walks to patio so I just follow and there were many tables open. Wthell?? Then that same group gets menus, waters, drinks, and food ordered, and during that whole 20mins we STILL have not even got menus!! I had to flag the girl down for menus and water....i was pretty annoyed at this point. After all this...we get our food ordered and its taking an unusually long time for it to come out. A family of 5 was seated next to us about 40mins after we ordered and we see all of them get their food but NOTHING has been served to us YET!!! I had to flag the girl down again and ask her where our food was, which we ordered almost an hour ago. She seems confused and says she will check. She doesn't come back......And then food comes out. They obviously put in the order when i asked.... Wow. My mom had ordered a breakfast sandwich, cut into it and a WHITE HAIR comes stringing out YUCK!!! Good thing she cut into it, instead of picking it up and biting into it. I immediately find our waiter and tell him, he comes apologizes, takes it, and says he will get a new one. We are STILL charged for it!!! This new order took 5-10mins, which shows they didn't put in our order the first time. Nice people, service is no good, food is not very good, but at least my dog was allowed in the patio. I don't think we will be returning again. read more

Food was alright but over priced for what you get. Took about 5 minutes after we sat to get our drinks, then another ten to even get our order. Server wasn't attentive at all. When asking for a military discount, it was almost if they didn't believe a person at my table was at veteran. The server demanded to see id then after said that she needed the full amount of what's on the bill and after the discount if there's any change then she would give it back. Why couldn't you give the discount then bring a new receipt showing the new charge? The service completely sucked. Between that and disrespecting a military veteran who fought for your freedom, I won't be going back. read more

Meh. The food was okay. I ate a turkey club and added tots. The waitress told me it would be a dollar extra for tots. I thought that was a good deal and beat a side of slaw. The bacon I microwave in the mornings tastes better than what was in my sandwich. What frustrated me the most was the "up charge" for swapping cheeses (the waitress did not tell me about this) and tots costing a two dollars, not one. I love breakfast and the menu looked great, but I'm really not interested in going back and getting charged for every substitution I make. read more

I'll give you 5 stars! Live up here and come by every now and then. The last burger I got was the Habanero Burger. The server warned me that a lot of people send it back cause it's too hot for them. If I could give zero stars I would the food here is absolutely disgusting and you can really tell that their is zero structure or quality control in the kitchen ... I am REALLY surprised this place does not have better reviews. We just moved to the area and have been here for Brunch literally 4 times in the last month or so; almost every weekend, and its really good every time! There is never a wait, the staff is prompt and friendly. The food is really quite good and well-priced. They have a full bar and make pretty good drinks. The smoothies are really good too, and as others have noted, the pancakes are great! They are like homemade pancakes! They have plenty of Vegetarian options - although not many Vegan options unless you modify a few meals on the menu. Most items either have eggs or cheese. However, their green chili is Vegetarian!! Which is SO exciting for me. I'm sure they wouldn't mind modifying a few things to make your plate Vegan if you asked nicely :) The only thing that would make this place a 5 star rating for me is if they added more Vegan options to the menu; however; we were told by the waitress a couple weeks ago that they were going to be changing up the menu, and adding more veggie options, such as a veggie burger and some other items, so I am excited to check it out once they do so! Nice place, great patio and pup friendly. The food is great, decent (bottle) beer selection. Not a bad place for a bite, but don't expect it to be quick... But worth the wait? Definitely. The food was very good and very generously portioned. We all ate half of our meals and are excited for the second half this evening. Mom's Pastrami was perfect. Delicious pastrami, onions grilled to perfection, the perfectly complementing Dijon mustard, pickles on grilled bread. Very, very good. The black and blue and bacon burger was a beast, but worth every bite. Home fries were crispy but not overbooked, perfect to soak up the juices from the mid-rare beef. Awesome. The service is lacking. We never saw the people next to us but their salad endured our stay in the hot sun. The only other table there while we sat on the patio had plenty of scraps left for the pup on the way out. But the food is worth the wait, so bring some time, enjoy the mountain air (with the pup!), and enjoy some five star food and ambiance with two star service. read more
