Finally found a good Mexican restaurant up here! Lived in Bailey for 2 years and haven't loved any of the other Mexican restaurants until we found Mexico Lindo. Service was amazing, food was excellent, house margarita had the perfect amount of tequila! We came in 30 min before closing and they greeted us with open arms. I'm honestly not understanding all the positive reviews for this place. We came in around 4 PM and were seated immediately. For the first 30-40 minutes, we were the only customers in the restaurant, yet it still took about that long for our food to arrive. We were only given one basket of chips, which made it hard to enjoy the salsa--which was actually the highlight of the meal. The atmosphere was disappointing. With no other guests present and employees sweeping and cleaning around us, the place felt more like it was closing than welcoming customers. It definitely wasn't the vibe we were hoping for to kick off our time in Colorado. As for the food, it was very underwhelming, especially for an $87 bill. The chicken was bland, the enchilada was forgettable, and nothing really stood out aside from the salsa. Overall, this was a disappointing experience and not a place I would recommend or return to. read more

Wonderful food at a cute mtn side Mexican restaurant, wonderful and accommodating service too! All tables were served chips and a bean dip and bowl of delicious and flavorful salsa. It was a fantastic way to start off. The appetizer menu had an interesting potato skins option and we got half chicken and half chorizo and both types were so good! We nibbled happily on them while we waited for our food. I ordered mixed fajitas and found the portion generous and the quality of meat to be lovely. It was tender and the veggies were also abundant. It was well seasoned and well cooked not too grilly/burned. The sides it came with were amazing and generous portions too. I got refried beans, rice and the usual fajita mix ins. I also got some cilantro and limes on the side and some of their salsa verde. The salsa verde was spicy and spectacular. My husband got the enchiladas combo trio thing and wow the plate was huge and beautifully plated. He enjoyed the creamy and green one most if I recall. Mexico Lindo was a great Mexican restaurant. My family and I stopped by for lunch after horseback riding. It is attached to a minimart / gas station which dropped my expectations, but once inside I was very impressed. The decor was classic for a Mexican restaurant. They brought out a chips, salsa, and some bean dip which was very good. My daughter and I ordered margaritas, and spicy jalapeno and a top shelf frozen. Both were quite good. We also ordered the cheese queso to go with the chips. After over indulging in the chips our orders of chilaquiles, pork carnitas, and a seafood chimichanga. The food was also very very good and well seasoned. The wait staff was very attentive on getting our drinks, bringing chips, and taking our orders and were very nice in general. I would absolutely drop by for lunch or dinner again. read more

Wow truly incredible and so authentic like eating at your abuelas . . Sylvia (chef) and Gisele were so sweet. Take a chance to speak with them if you can the food is made with love. You don't get just chips and salsa when you come in you get a free serving of frijoles that is too die for with the chips and salsa. I've eaten here a couple times and always love the food. This time in particular I had the pasole and it was just too damn good. . . I had to leave a review. It was so well deserved. Give them a shot I know you will not be disappointed. read more

Don't let this restaurant being attached to a gas station fool you (it almost got me) because this is some of the most delicious & authentic mexican food you'll have in Denver! I went with a group of 8 friends on NYE for dinner & didn't have to wait at all! Being from California, I've eaten at plenty of authentic mexican food restaurants and this had some of the best guacamole i've ever had! I wasn't a huge fan of the Mole sauce on my enchiladas, but it was still pretty tasty! Highly recommend getting some queso as an appetizer & using left overs on top of your dish! Me and my wife came in here for a quick Sunday lunch and we're extremely satisfied with the food and the service and the drinks. This is everything it should be for a family run mexican joint at a gas station. All the negatives quickly turn to positives. Giselle works her tail off here. Hostess, waitress bartender...whatever needs to be done. This place is busy everytime we go here. Sit in a booth it's part of the experience when someone behind you sits in theirs....quite the ride. I cannot tell you how many times we have flown by Mexico Lindo on 285 and said, "We should stop sometime but let's get closer to home to eat." I now say, "Why, did we not stop sooner." We arrived close to 2:00 and ordered from the lunch menu which included Chicken Mole (I ordered it). The husband ordered a pork burrito with red and green chili. I was pleasantly surprised when they brought out chips and salsa along with a small platter of bean/beef/queso dip. It is the small things that earn stars from me. Our meal arrived quickly by a smiling waitress, and it looked delicious. My mole was very good and served with rice and beans and handmade tortillas. The tortillias were a bit thick but nicely held together as a taco and the husband was pleased as well. I brought home leftovers for my dinner and the mole was even better. When we came here a year ago, this was some really incredible cooking, with Mexican American food on par with el coyote in la. I recommended it to all my friends! Unfortunately, our last visit the quality had really fallen off. My wife got two tacos - the carne asada needed more flavor to the point where my wife added salt. Even the rice and beans were lacking. The guacamole seemed to have sour cream in it as well which was deeply disappointing. Not sure if the chef changed, the ingredients changed, or what, but this is a solid 3/5 at this point. read more

What a great place. The weather is zero and there are two important football games on TV so we pretty much had the place to ourselves . It was a 15 minute drive from our house in Denver, but well worth it. The place is very clean very warm and cozy and inviting. Gisele, our server was so friendly and we told her just to pick out whatever she wanted to service for dinner so she brought us two combination plates with three items on each plate. Everything we tried got better and better. I have the house margarita, which was wonderful. My husband had a gin and tonic. As soon as he sat down and they brought us chips, salsa, and this wonderful bean dip. They offered a second, but we didn't want to fill up before our dinner We packed about half our plates home . They offered us sopapillas on the house, but we were to stuffed to eat anymore . Then they brought us each a tequila and lime on the house . Will definitely be back with friends . My niece and I made a trip up the hill for my second visit before I left a Yelp review, my first experience was very good. Our waitress was very nice and attentive and the place appeared to be clean. I ordered the daily special (Colorado Burrito) and my niece ordered two shredded beef taco's. When the food arrived my first bite tasted like rotten ground beef. They brought my niece ground beef tacos instead of shredded beef but she decided to eat them anyway. She had the same reaction on her first bite. I tasted hers and the meat had definatly gone bad. I called the waitress over and explained the situation to her and she took the plates away. She came back and apologized very sincerely and asked if she could get anything for us but niether one of us had an appetite for Mexican food after that so we left to go grab a burger. She didn't charge us for the drinks and handled the situation very well. I'm sure they earned all those great reviews on Yelp, it just wasn't the reality for us today. read more

I knew it would be good when the chips and salsa were good. They also bring out a bean dip that is really good. My jalapeño margarita was perfectly spicy. I had the burrito Colorado with shredded beef and my husband had a couple chimichangas. He probably only needed one but it said it was a side order, which didn't make sense. The meat was seasoned very well. Not bland at like a lot of "authentic" Mexican places. Our waitress was the hostess and helped clear tables as well, so she was quite busy. So not as attentive as could be, but we were just fine. Great food and typical atmosphere. If you are looking for good Mexican food while in the Morrison area, this is the place to go. read more

What a hidden gem! This completely unassuming Mexican restaurant located next door to a local gas station and shops takes you by surprise when you step inside! Five stars all around. The service and ambiance are top notch. Everyone is super friendly and the restaurant itself has very traditional decor and music. You cannot stop eating the food! You get amazing chips, bean dip, salsa, and authentic handmade tortillas to start within minutes of sitting down. We had the fish tacos after, and they were bomb and came with wonderful Spanish rice and beans. Lastly, the drinks are strong and taste just right. Highly recommend the margarita list. I've had good experiences eating lunch here, and always appreciate I can get Mexican Coca-Cola in a chilled, 1/2-liter glass bottle and made with real cane sugar from MX, not high-fructose corn syrup I am reading a few reviews that some folks have experienced food that did not seem fresh or even meat that had actually turned, but not me. Maybe the secret is that eat an early lunch around 11ish early in the week (Tuesday or Wednesday), and not a late night weekend dinner. The margaritas 1 we got to keep the shaker which ended up being 2.5 margs so that price was nice for that: 2: the green chili they smoothed it in had very good flavor I ended up buying some to go. 3: reccomend the chili rellano. 4: yes it's next to a gas station but it is worth the stop. 5: are you out hiking and have a dog??
