Not pleased with my experience! I have been receiving bills over a year after the date of service. I have called the billing inquiry team every time I receive a bill because my insurance was never billed. Each call we go over my insurance info and each time they claim there is something new that was incorrect even though I had the correct info on my insurance card on the day of services. They say they are working on filing the claim correctly but my insurance company has not heard from them. I have reached out to the customer service team and would love resolution to this mess. read more

While traveling I made an appointment at this location, when scheduling I discussed the cost, I needed immediate assistance, When I arrived for my appointment, the cost rose 300% not what I was told. I refused the appointment due to this. I found a dentist to do the work- at a far less price and he did excellent work. I had some work done at this location 2 years ago for a very reasonable price. If I could give these people no stars at all I would. I did a review about this visit, it was 2-3 years ago and won't get into that however they were supposed to fix a gap between my front teeth. As a teenager my then dentist put porcelain in the gap, he was extremely careful to match the color, soften any sharp edges and make it look as though it was a part of the tooth it was bonded too. I'm 56 now, so that original fixing of the gap fell out 2-3 yrs ago, to be expected after 40 yrs. The dentist at Aspen "fixed" it again. It was sharp, I could no longer floss between my 2 teeth, they didn't even attempt to match the color and looked hideous, it was embarrassing. So tonight was spaghetti for dinner. I popped a noodle in my mouth and out came what looked like a pebble you would find in the driveway. To make matters worse, I looked in the mirror to find a gaping hole between my front teeth that I paid for and lasted 3 yrs tops. Thank you Aspen Dental, I can now go as a pumpkin for Halloween this year. So my suggestion to all of you people who work hard for your money and want dental work that is affordable, looks natural and done with professionalism, DONT choose this place. read more

I should have done more research and read more reviews prior to my first visit. The first phone call took forever as their computer kept messing up, and information had to be put in again. X-rays- they took A LOT! More than any other dentist or doctor has ever taken, it seemed a bit extreme. The dentist and staff were very friendly. My appointment was booked due to the amount of extreme pain that I was in, but that was ignored. Only said, i don't see anything that would be causing you the amount of pain you say you are in. I felt as if they thought i was making the pain up. After the consult, i was told to wait in the chair for the office manager to come and get me. This wait was over 30 minutes, an unacceptable amount of time to get out of there. Once escorted into the business managers office, it felt 100% like a sales pitch and nothing to do with patient care. She then demanded a down payment up front for the next appointment. I liked that it was convenient they text you to confirm your appointment about a week in advance. So I did that, and got confirmation back. This week i also received a pretty bitchy voicemail demanding that I call back to confirm the appointment otherwise the appointment will have to be rescheduled. Why text to confirm if you aren't going to follow that system? Day of appointment #2. The office manager was covering the front desk. I signed in for my appointment and had my card out ready to pay, because I sure as heck wasn't going to allow them to keep me waiting in the back again to check out. She automatically asked for payment up front anyway. I was then asked if there was a better way to confirm appointments. I said no, text is perfect! She claimed they didn't get a response back and it was not updated in the system. I told her i got a instant reply back when i confirmed and even got a text from them 30 minutes prior to my appointment saying they are excited to see me at my appointment. 10 minutes after my appointment time, I'm still sitting in the lobby waiting FOR MY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT to begin, when I'm informed that I will have a temp hygienist today and she is still preparing the room. I knew i should have demanded a full refund and left at that time. 14 minutes past the schedule appointment I'm called back. The temp was pretty nice, and did good work, but it was evident she was not as familiar with the office as i would expect a medical professional to be. I didn't sign up for an appointment at a dental school. Issues with equipment, and again; issues with their computer system. She had to leave a few times to ask others for help with miscellaneous questions. While I'm sitting there waiting and waiting and waiting to get out of there I notice an open door with a whiteboard on the wall. It was their sales goals. Yes! Sales goals! 100% proof right there that it's not about patient care, it's about money. I won't be back. read more

Anyway went back to same business just different location had talked to insurance beforehand so I had no surprises but they had sent in paperwork stating that they were putting implants in which is not true I already had implants and didn't make them right 1st time so sent me to another facility to remake mold for new set this dentist was rude or didn't know you don't put dentures in someones mouth full of drilled sanding of dentures. Anyway they didn't fit and I slurred so bad with them went to another dentist for a referral on whether they can be fixed he said they would have to be remade. Asked for refund got run around for 3 months. Awful place they only care about money these dentist are not true caring dentist. I then they write you off as a patient like it's all my fault. This review is specific to the Aspen Dental Clinic at ~ 72 and Dodge in Omaha, Ne. I had to make a decision about partial dental plates or full dentures. I have pretty darn good insurance. The staff is excellent. They are friendly and extremely professional. I had 23 extractions and temporary dentures within a couple hours. Here it is 5 months later and I am looking forward to the permanent dentures. The initial dentures have only required reline, but that is healing taking place. If you need dentures, there is no better place in Omaha. read more

I have never felt more like cattle in my life. Only they wanted to harvest my cash and not my delicious meaty parts. I went to this business for 2-3 routine visits and once for a unexpected dental issue. At each visit they led me into some administrators office to review all the "optional" services that they suggested I strongly consider. I felt like the last time I bought a car and was led into some aggressive goofballs office who unrelentingly pressured me into a warranty plan. To help me out of course. I have no doubt that this franchise could make plenty if money just by ethically treating patients as needed. Instead they take the used car dealer approach to dental care. Don't use this business. We came here today for an emergency wisdom tooth extraction. I am a stickler for good customer service and these people know what they're doing. The receptionists were some of the nicest people I've ever met. The dentist himself answered any question I had and didn't pressure me into doing anything outside my immediate need. Gave lots of paperwork with very detailed pricing afterwords. Are they a little spendy? Yeah. But for that great of customer service and the information I was given, I feel Confident I can use the information given to make smart future decisions. I was hesitant to go here because of all the bad Yelp reviews, but my insurance just changed so this was my only option. The first appointment is your consultation, they take your x-rays and do an exam, then they take you into an office to discuss what type of payment you will owe if you follow their dental plan they made up for you. This is when it got a little frustrating for me. First they quoted me something like $500, for what? Honestly i don't know. The dentist never mentioned anything about wisdom teeth extractions and neither did I, as I already had my necessary wisdom teeth extractions done, and was told by 2 different dentists the other ones were not necessary. So the lady in charge of payments was going through all what I needed done and she started asking me if I've been saving up for my wisdom teeth extractions out of no where, and at this point I'm so confused because there was no mention of that before, so I told her, no that won't be happening and then she marked my price down to like $300 something. Which would be the cost of the two fillings I needed and the toothbrush they decided to add in without asking me if I wanted. So I told her I didn't want their expensive fancy toothbrush as I already had it, from my previous dentist. Ok so, then I told her I just wanted my fillings and cleaning and that's it. This place is super trash. I had an appointment on Monday for my crown. But because I couldn't bite down after my root canal I call and told them that my mouth was still hurting. So instead of getting me in to see what was going on the move my appointment further out. So today I was sleeping because I'm a truck driver and I drive at night they call to try to get a confirmation for my appointment but since I was sleeping I didn't hear my phone. So they took it upon themselves to cancel my appointment. So now I still don't have my crown and I still can't bite down. I got my root canal on December 2 and it's December 15 and I still cannot eat. read more

Scheduled my first appointment for X-rays and a cleaning. Arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment. When I walked in there was someone just in front of me. A woman behind the desk told him to sign in and someone would be around shortly. I signed in after him and took a seat in the waiting area. After waiting for 15 minutes the receptionist called my name and asked me to come to the desk. She then told me there had been an earlier emergency with the dentist and that I'd need to reschedule my appointment. I find the customer service and communication to be incredibly poor. I can't trust that my next appointment will be honored so I'm going to take my business elsewhere. I suggest anyone else considering Aspen Dental for their oral care do the same. read more

The dentists at Aspen Dental were obviously clown school graduates who were mistakenly given dentistry degrees. Never in my life have I seen dental "care" that was such a joke. I went into an emergency visit for excruciating pain in a molar which was rotting underneath a poorly installed crown. Before they would even see me, they had me sit and fill out a bunch of paperwork that they obviously didn't read for two reasons: number one being that I went out of my way to find the address and phone number to my pharmacy so that they could call any prescriptions in, yet they still wrote physical prescriptions for me to take in; reason number two being that under current medications, I listed that I had been taking 800mg of ibuprofen for the pain, yet they tried to write me a prescription for 600mg of ibuprofen. They showed me the X-rays of literally every tooth but the one that was in pain, and I don't understand why. Thinking about it, they tried to tell me I needed a root canal on the other side as well, which isn't in any pain. Maybe they didn't want me to see how bad the painful one was so I couldn't compare them and would just take them at their word. Generally, I think they thought I was stupid. So, they told me that I needed a root canal, but that they wouldn't perform molar root canals, so they were going to refer me to a doctor they trusted. Here is where things get ridiculous. In addition to their pathetic 600mg ibuprofen that I gave back to them, they wrote me a prescription for antibiotics, claiming that the tooth was only in pain because it was infected, which is garbage because my symptoms were clearly due to an exposed nerve. They said it would take about two days for the antibiotic to start working, but that it would supposedly take the pain away. So I guess in the mean time, I'm just supposed to suffer through the pain by taking less ibuprofen than I already was? And they couldn't possibly write me a prescription for something that could allow me to eat and sleep, or at least inject some Novocain to provide some temporary relief?? They treated it like I purposely hurt my tooth just for drugs, which is ridiculous and impossible- in fact, I put off going to a dentist as long as I could until I was in so much pain it was either go to a dentist or kill myself to end the pain. Too bad they refused to help me. After keeping me sitting in an empty room for 20 minutes and for no reason, they took me to a desk where they started trying to quote me a price for the procedure that they claimed they couldn't do and were referring me elsewhere for... not sure how that works, but my guess is that they were just trying to get my nonexistent money, because they quoted me $1400 and told me this had to come out of pocket, no payment plans were available, and when I told them I literally didn't have the money, they just sent me on my way. No money, no care, even if it's dire. That is not how things should work. Antibiotics will help the alleged infection, but it will only get infected again and again if nothing is done about the tooth which is currently sending shooting pain all the way up and down my face to my temple, down to my neck, and interfering with the hearing in my right ear. If it goes septic, it could literally kill me, and as "doctors," I know that they are aware of this. Still, their response was "no money, no care," and over-the-counter pain killers which obviously haven't been helping, even in conjunction with 1000mg of acetaminophen on top of it. I understand that there are people who just want drugs, but obviously I have a legitimate source of extreme pain here, it's not like I'm claiming something that can't be disproven, like back pain. I would've been happy with just enough to get me by and allow me to eat and sleep while I wait for the antibiotics to allegedly help. But no one wants to help anyone else unless there's something in it for them. My hope in writing this small novel is that I can actually help someone else avoid a horrible experience and get some legitimate care without wasting unnecessary time. The TL;DR version is avoid Aspen Dental if: *You do not have dental insurance *You need immediate care *You are in extreme pain *You want to be treated like a human being whose life actually matters Good luck. ***HERE IS A FUN UPDATE!!*** If you've done a google search for them, you might have noticed that they are rated pretty poorly on Yelp, but strangely, rather high on a website called Birdeye. I found out why this is! They sent a text message, including a link to review them on that website. "Would you recommend Aspen Dental?" Your choices are "Yes," and "No, thanks." If you click "no, thanks," you are prompted to explain what went wrong in a tiny text box. But here's the kicker: you can't click send. This place is absolutely horrible. They tell you to be there 15 minutes early. I showed up with all my paperwork already filled out. They were 15 minutes late taking me back for X-rays. The X-ray tech was very disconnected and I wasn't impressed. The spend 5 minutes with me and put me in a room. We're now over 45 minutes in and I'm still waiting. Seriously, if you hate your job as much as these people must, quit. I should have walked out immediately after I checked in. All the corporate posters about professionalism, smiling, etc. are laughably inaccurate for this place. The icing on the cake was the dentist, Dr. Straub. I thought he might've had a plane to catch being he was in such a hurry, rude, and interrupted me so many times. My mom had an appointment today which was scheduled a week ago. When we got there they said She wasn't in the books. But she needed to put 60 percent of what was owed down. They didn't ask for any of her insurance information. All we wanted to do was get the appointment over with. I have been to two offices, one in Live Oak (San Antonio), TX and one in Omaha, Nebraska. Both offices have treated me like family. They have asked many questions to get to know me and how I have been taking care (or lack there of) of my teeth and gums and made recommendations on what I can do to help improve the health of my teeth and gums. They have asked to give them a call or drop on by if I have any questions, concerns or emergencies in between visits. read more

All staff at this location have been awesome to me! I have been a patient at Aspen dental for almost a year now. Before that I had not been to the dentist in almost 10 years. Danielle has always been very nice and gentle. She has made "going to the dentist" a positive experience. She actually cares about me taking care of my teeth! Marilyn at the front desk is always helpful when I call and she is always super nice to me. The billing office lady is very fair with my bills and they work with me, being on a tight budget. Even the dental assistants are always friendly! I think this location is great, and I will be a patient of Aspen Dental as long as these great ladies are working at this location! Peace! read more

I would like to find a dentist since I just moved to this area. I scheduled an appointment on 5/19/2016 evening and confirmed by sending text message "c" to 59044. But I received a call at noon on 5/19/2016 said my appointment has been canceled. No way to file a complaint about that, but I feel lucky that I got a cancellation. Terrible. I went in for a cleaning and took time off work. When I went in, they took x-rays then I got an exam. They informed me that the hygienist was not in that day and that I can not get a cleaning. They took way more x-rays then i have ever taken. When I asked a question about the x-rays, they brushed it off and proceeded to keep taking the over 10 x-rays. I have never been dissatisfied at a dental office before and I see dentists regularly. They treat you like a number and their bottom line is to profit off you. I would never go here again nor would I recommend this to anyone. read more

After using this office for the last 2 years, I decided to stop going after my last visit. The dentist wanted me to have about $4,000 worth of dental work done. When I went for a second opinion at another dentist, they were baffled by this. One thing to keep in mind is that Aspen is like Summit and all of the other corporate facilities. (Often times it is more about a bottom line than health) Between this, and the overall poor customer service, I switched dentists and could not be happier. I have to tell you that my dentist is a dream at Aspen Dental but I was not made aware of the products well enough and my bottom teeth are the tiniest things on this Earth and there's no biting edges on my front teeth and nothing matches each other I am grateful that I get to smile again but my smile is crooked I'm very sad read more

I just went to aspen dental to for my checkup. They always do a great job and the entire staff is very friendly!

I don't go to the dentist often but I normally don't mind going. However, this was the worst dental experience ever. I arrived early to fill out paper work and I still had to sit in the waiting room until fifteen minutes after my appointment time. My x-rays were the worst part of my experience. The girl that did my x-rays was very nice and as accommodating as possible but I have never had x-rays take so long and be so painful. It took close to 20 minutes to complete. The square thing that she had to put in my mouth was too big for me so I was choking and gagging and I even threw up a little bit. I had tears running down my face the entire time because I was choking on this square thing that was being shoved into my mouth. Once that was over, I felt like the rest of the appointment was just drawn out longer than it needed to be. It seemed like the employees had a script and procedure that is just not working for them or at least not working for me. The doctor just revamped what the first girl already told me and then I was slowly ushered into an office to talk about my options. I declined this part because I just wanted to get out of there so bad. I definitely won't be back. I plan to get my actual dental work done someplace else. read more

This dentist office is unbelievably BAD!!! What a scam. My son is going into the Peace Corps in a week. Part of the requirement is dental exams. What an attractive offer of a free exam. First rip off is the oral cancer exam and numerous little hidden costs they don't tell you about. The actual work takes less time than the long meeting of the financial obligation..there are no deals here. The final straw was the periodontal work. In the process of scaming us with that, the dentist stained his teeth. The office called his father and my son to tell them the follow up visit to clean up after the work would be $200 (This is all part of the periodontal work that we already paid for)? I am divorced and let my ex do the dental part with my son who just graduated from college. After my son was told he would not get his crown if the bill wasn't paid, my ex went in and set up a financial plan with them. He got his crown and three fillings and periodontal work, then the call for the money for cleaning up their mess. They called my son three times to tell him he would owe this extra money if he wanted the stains to be cleaned and that they didn't want to mess with my ex. He had no idea what they were talking about. Now we have to take him to another dentist to make sure they did the work correctly. This can keep him from leaving for his service in the Peace Corps.
