They recommended a filling on my 12-year-old daughter's Baby Tooth cavity (which was not in critical shape), the tooth fell out 2 weeks later (thank goodness I went with my gut). My friend who has NEVER had a cavity her whole life, had to get a filling at THIS office. They recommended my husband get a filling the next visit, (spoiler alert, our new dentist, didn't see a problem with that tooth.) Final straw, they recommended I get a crown on a tooth that was not hurting, and I could not see what they were talking about on the Xray, which would cost me over $500. Done! Found a new dentist. My new dentist DID NOT recommend a crown, they replaced the filling and I still have my $500. (FYI, new dentist does not recommend a night guard to either of us).

I had a lot of questions about what I was seeing in the X-rays and the answers weren't satisfactory; he was pushy and against my better judgement I let him drill the one (I had never previously had a cavity). This caused a lot of anxiety and hadn't been to the back to the dentist since until today. As for the 5-6 others, it has been 8yrs, I finally just went back. I have only 1 small cavity now that just started to form. Get a copy of your X rays and get a second opinion. There are online services that do that now. After arranging to take time off from work, I was contacted the morning of my appointment and asked to move it to 1:00 PM because the provider needed to leave early. I explained that I had prior obligations and would do my best to arrive before 3:00 PM. Instead of honoring the appointment time that had already been confirmed, I was told that I would need to reschedule because the consultation takes approximately an hour. While I understand that unexpected situations can happen, patients' time is valuable as well. If patients cancel at the last minute, many offices enforce cancellation policies, so I believe healthcare providers should extend the same level of respect and consideration when changes are necessary. The office later apologized, which I appreciate, but the overall experience left me disappointed with the communication and scheduling process. Having taken time off work for an appointment that was changed on the day of service has caused me to lose confidence in pursuing treatment with this office. I hope this feedback encourages improvements in scheduling practices and patient communication so others do not experience the same inconvenience.

During checkout I found out that the 3d-xray comes at a cost of $310 and it's a medical procedure (out of network) and the surgical center wanted their $310 prior to me leaving the building. This left a sour taste in my mouth, and I thought about going elsewhere for the surgery. However, I was already too deep at this point. Fast forward to surgery day. I checked in at the front desk and was told that I needed to pay my estimated charges prior to me going back for surgery. I woke up from surgery still a little groggy from the anesthesia. I vaguely recall someone saying they took a tissue sample of my gum while I was unconscious. A month later I received a $450 bill for the tissue sample extraction and biopsy medical procedure (out of network) that I never agreed to. Is this even legal??
