I was referred to Oral Surgery Specialists (OSS) to have a wisdom tooth extracted. During my…read moreinitial consultation, Dr. Walzer said they needed to perform a 3d x-ray even though he already had an x-ray in hand from my dentist office. During checkout I found out that the 3d-xray comes at a cost of $310 and it's a medical procedure (out of network) and the surgical center wanted their $310 prior to me leaving the building. This left a sour taste in my mouth, and I thought about going elsewhere for the surgery. However, I was already too deep at this point. Fast forward to surgery day. I checked in at the front desk and was told that I needed to pay my estimated charges prior to me going back for surgery. I woke up from surgery still a little groggy from the anesthesia. I vaguely recall someone saying they took a tissue sample of my gum while I was unconscious. A month later I received a $450 bill for the tissue sample extraction and biopsy medical procedure (out of network) that I never agreed to. Is this even legal??

At my semi-annual checkup, my dentist said the implant is loose and I will have to go back to Dr…read more Kufta. Should be no charge but told me not to do anything until they promised it would be no charge. And in no circumstances should I go through the entire painful process again. There are some minimally difficult corrections they can do and it should definitely be "no charge."
