Dr. H's assistant Laura knew how afraid I was and shared my pain with him. I was suffering. He came in on his day off performing #TopNotchService He was in my mouth less than a minute I signed; he said, "what I'm done." I went back today to get the other one out, I meant JoJo at this office, and she was doing her Lil triage business; I'm peeping out the door. Unfortunately, we need Laura in on this mission. ‍ Dr. H came in his same caring, happy, humble, hospitable self chit chatting, aka reassuring me I will be fine and numbed me. He came back, 30 seconds later he dropping the tools, washing his hands, wishing me well advising I'm welcome to come back - I love it there. I started to grab him and hug him, that would of been doing the most. I wish Dr. Hlousek was a regular dentist - he really wouldn't be able to get rid of me! Thank you again Dr. Hlousek may God bless you real big because you blessed me, TWICE! Thanks, LauraBoo!! JoJo you cool too girl!!

I just came on here to write a review, and I see that another reviewer has almost the exact same…read morecomplaint. I was oversold on the DNA appliance by Dr. Adams as well. It costs $10K (!), and made no visible change -- which is what I was looking for. My back teeth are somewhat better aligned, but I never would have paid for that, since I had no functional issues. He never even told me that this appliance is used exclusively for people with sleep apnea and TMJ, neither of which I have. (His website at the time I sought treatment didn't indicate this either; it focused on the appliance's ability to grow bone.) I was trying to correct a slight underbite, and it did absolutely nothing. My smile and bite look just as before. When I complained (gently), at first he said he'd find a solution, but then changed his mind and refused to treat me. I hope this review keeps other people from making the same mistake I did.

I thought a lot about whether to update this review, and I feel I should to let people know, the…read moreDNA device that I spent nearly $10,000 on did absolutely nothing for me. It didn't straighten my teeth, didn't expand my palate, and made no visual change of my appearance whatsoever. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind I was oversold on this item. Dr. Adams told me it would even take away back pain, would improve issues I had with crooked lower teeth, would move the jaws forward and even cause them to grow because of the device. None of that happened. I can tell absolutely no difference in my mouth or my face after taking this, and spending nearly $10,000 on it. I could have easily used my health insurance to get a sleep apnea device that would have done the exact same thing. And I'll add to this the fact that I followed the directions meticulously that I was given. I adjusted it without fail exactly as requested, and it expanded all the way out. Maybe the teeth moved in the gums, but the jaws did nothing. I cannot in good conscience any longer recommend this practice. Dr. Adams is a really nice dentist, and he spends a lot of time explaining things and talking to you. But the result was beyond disappointing, especially with the hefty price tag. I feel this DNA device is hyped and sold inaccurately with promises it cannot keep.

We were greated by a very pleasant Dental Assistant in a very pleasant looking lobby. There was a large couch where I was able to sit my son on the couch and allow him to watch tv for about 5 minutes. They took us back very quickly (really loved this) & allowed us to get situated in whichever way I felt would be most comfortable for my son. The dentist came back (he never said his name though) he was very friendly, asked appropriate questions and gave me guidance and information on baby teeth and their care. He went very slow with my son as to not create any fear & moved at the pace my son would allow. After about 7-10 minutes we were done! The dentist gave my son a Cars sticker & he was still happy! I paid my co-pay & we left. We spent a total of about 25-30 minutes in the office & our entire experience was very pleasant. I had planned to go to a different location from here on out, but this may become my son's permanent dental office. My only recommendation would be to have an area that is more kiddy themed. Hence the 4 stars (I would prefer to give 4.5 stars though). Great dental office though!

After almost 2 minutes of her squeezing his heel and him screaming, she wasn't even a quarter of he way done. Thankfully, the nurse who came in to retry had it done in less than 30 seconds. I visited the office in Oxon Hill due to intensive wisdom tooth pain. When arrived, I was greeted…read moreby his dental assistant ( she was super sweet and nice. she talked me through my anxiety, and stayed by my side ) Dr. Cieplak walked inside room, I shared with him that I suffer from dental anxiety. Instead of speaking encouraging words and giving reassurance, he only bragged about his awards and told me the treatment that I needed was a "small fry" to him and either I get it done or I don't. The nice dental assistant told me that they offered mild sedation in their LaPlata office if I would opt to go there! Once I arrived at the LaPlata office, I sat in my car until it was my turn to go in. (COVID policy) As I got inside the exam room, the dental hygienist and another dental assistant came in. No introduction or anything. She leaned my chair back and told me to open my mouth so I can get a cleaning. As she started my teeth, she had a series of coughs, non stop. It was only until I moved my head that she got up and continued to cough outside the exam room. When she came back in, she proceeeded to finish with the same exact cough. I then tilted my head again, and she removed herself. ( as a hygienist, who thinks it's okay to cough repeatedly while someone mouth is open and you guys are face to face ) Once finished, a new dentist came inside and examined my mouth to create my dental plan. As she was examining my mouth, she kept asking a series of questions and instead of allowing me to answer, she just answered for me and kept on moving. When I received my dental plan, I asked about sedation. ( the only reason why I came to LaPlata ) I was then told that I would have to get EVERYTHING done on my dental treatment (which was only fill-ins and wisdom teeth removal). I told them I was unable to afford the $7,000 bill they gave me. Could I only get my wisdom teeth removed as that was the reason I came to see a dentist. I was once again told that it was either I get all the treatment plan done or nothing. When asked why, it was stated that it's his practice he does whatever he wants. I asked what about the patients who have anxiety, and can't even sit still once the noise of the drill comes on, I was told to find another dentist. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRACTICE TO ANYONE WHO SUFFERS FROM DENTAL ANXIETY OR DOESN'T HAVE A TON OF MONEY SITTING AROUND TO SPEND IMMEDIATELY
