Dr. Cieplak is, hands down, the best dentist I've ever been to! And his staff were fantastic too. His dental assistant was professional and treated me like she really cared about my health. Dr. Cieplak was just amazing. He explained my problem in a straightforward way I could understand and then proposed a fix that suited my needs perfectly. His fees were very fair as well. I'm completely satisfied with my visit there. I doubt you'll find a better dentist and staff anywhere. Highly recommended! read more

I visited the office in Oxon Hill due to intensive wisdom tooth pain. When arrived, I was greeted by his dental assistant ( she was super sweet and nice. she talked me through my anxiety, and stayed by my side ) Dr. Cieplak walked inside room, I shared with him that I suffer from dental anxiety. Instead of speaking encouraging words and giving reassurance, he only bragged about his awards and told me the treatment that I needed was a "small fry" to him and either I get it done or I don't. The nice dental assistant told me that they offered mild sedation in their LaPlata office if I would opt to go there! Once I arrived at the LaPlata office, I sat in my car until it was my turn to go in. (COVID policy) As I got inside the exam room, the dental hygienist and another dental assistant came in. No introduction or anything. She leaned my chair back and told me to open my mouth so I can get a cleaning. As she started my teeth, she had a series of coughs, non stop. It was only until I moved my head that she got up and continued to cough outside the exam room. When she came back in, she proceeeded to finish with the same exact cough. I then tilted my head again, and she removed herself. ( as a hygienist, who thinks it's okay to cough repeatedly while someone mouth is open and you guys are face to face ) Once finished, a new dentist came inside and examined my mouth to create my dental plan. As she was examining my mouth, she kept asking a series of questions and instead of allowing me to answer, she just answered for me and kept on moving. When I received my dental plan, I asked about sedation. ( the only reason why I came to LaPlata ) I was then told that I would have to get EVERYTHING done on my dental treatment (which was only fill-ins and wisdom teeth removal). I told them I was unable to afford the $7,000 bill they gave me. Could I only get my wisdom teeth removed as that was the reason I came to see a dentist. I was once again told that it was either I get all the treatment plan done or nothing. When asked why, it was stated that it's his practice he does whatever he wants. I asked what about the patients who have anxiety, and can't even sit still once the noise of the drill comes on, I was told to find another dentist. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRACTICE TO ANYONE WHO SUFFERS FROM DENTAL ANXIETY OR DOESN'T HAVE A TON OF MONEY SITTING AROUND TO SPEND IMMEDIATELY read more

I have personally been to Dr. Cieplak office for dental care and found him to be a caring and very knowledgeable dentist. He explained everything to me that he was going to do his staff went over the costs which was more than fair and he proceeded with treatment at a future date that has been to say the least extremely successful. I have Dentistry that he's done in my mouth that is over 15 years and it is still working great and comfortable. He did a crown for me nearly 10 years ago and I've never had a problem with it my bike feels good I can chew and eat without any problems and I referred numbers of patients to him. He's also caring and considerate and I know that he's done volunteer Dentistry to help the needy as well His office is extremely clean and the staff is very very nice and easy to communicate with I have no problem referring family and friends to him, you won't find a better dentist in Oxon Hill or generally anywhere in the area. read more

This was a pleasant surprise and Dr. VIj will be my Dentist from now on. This was my first round of visits to Cieplak Dental. I'd been a patient of another Dentist who shut down his practice. I've driven past this place a million times but had never been in so not knowing what to expect I made appointments for myself and my son. First off, What seems like a little house on the side of the Livingston road is in actuality a modern dental office (see pictures). I was on a tight schedule but we were always seen right on time for appointments . Ms Quen was a huge help and kept us up on the appointment schedule via calls and texts which came in very handy. She made sure I knew exactly what was going on with visit, treatment plan and billing. She was a pleasure to work with. Cleaning and consultation with Shonda and Dr Vig went off without any issues. The treatment they recommended for my son and I was all very reasonable and I didn't feel like I was trying to be upsold on anything outlandish. They also have Saturday hours!! So we went the following weekend for a filling for myself and a baby tooth removal for my son. Again we were seen on time and both of us had some apprehension. Dr Vij, and Shonda took extra care to make my son and I feel comfortable. Both of us left with no pain or discomfort, My son played a soccer game 2 hours later and was fine. Change my appointments 3 times without telling me, they did a bad job that had me on pain for 2 month while full of excuses finally had me there Only cause I got really mad , Never meet a more aggressive doctor than this one my experience Was seriously bad, place is dirty and on top after waiting 2 month they didn't want to do nothing on me cause they had no time so full of excuses they told me come other day and he run to the other patient that he was also taking care at the same time be careful is a none returning place so don't go read more

I had a very wonderful visit to Dr Cieplak this past week. I was in and out very quickly, and I also got all of my questions answered and more. Not only did Dr Cieplak clean my teeth, but he also noticed that my bite was off and helped me adjust. Dr. Cieplak needs to hire and train his staff to work with special need's patients. He informed me after two visits that he could no longer treat my daughter who has Down Syndrome. She is 21 yrs. old and is severely mentally challenged, Autistic and has Pervasive Development Disorder. She is a former cardiac patient from Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. His insensitivity towards my daughter's special needs left a very sour taste in my mouth. Other dentists in Delaware and Maryland have treated my daughter better. He gets the boot for sure! read more

I've been going to this dentist for the past 2 years and I am very pleased! I came here after another dentist gave me a fillings that cause me bad pain!. Dr. Cieplak corrected it and gave me a plan for the rest of my teeth in which I've done at my own pace over the past 2 years. I've recieved fillings, crowns and also received a bite guard for a clicking I had in my jaw, took a while but that click disappeared. All the staff are friendly, personable and know you by name when you walk through the door, very refreshing!...You get reminders and calls about upcoming appointments. Also appointments never take long either, you get seen on time in and out. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this dentist and would not change it. read more
