Went tonight and had the Bianco without mushrooms. Pretty good. I wish they had more mocktails as I don't drink!

I used to have a weeknight ritual of coming by after work and have stopped because of how insane it's gotten. (This is coming from someone who worked in childcare for years, I like most kids!) This spot for some reason just attracts parents who are uninterested in keeping their kids behaved. This is my petition for the staff to feel more empowered to kick people out if they're not, for example, willing to keep their screaming 4 year old out of the beer cooler.

Parking: They had a small packed lot, no issues with street parking on the same street or a perpendicular one. This place is awesome. Two floors and a really affordable kitchen with an awesome 50 beer tap list plus the fridge downstairs with a huge selection of singles. They do 8oz pours at reasonable half prices ($4-5) so it's fantastic for tasting different things. I tried a stout and two IPAa for around $20 with tip. They do Geeks who Drink trivia with a max team size of six on Wednesday nights at 7PM.

Folks there were super communicative and helpful in getting a lay of the land. The dogs were very friendly and the people were welcoming and had only glowing things to say about the space. Drinks were reasonably priced, and the cover to get in for my pup was very affordable. Already wish there were more places like this, but I'm glad to have found such a spot! Excited to go back soon :)

I recently brought my Havanese, Kainalu, to Growlerz Seattle for a grooming appointment with…read moreNicole, and I want to start by saying the actual grooming service itself was great. Nicole is an amazing groomer--she did an excellent job, and Kainalu came back clean, well-trimmed, and clearly cared for. I want to be very clear that I have absolutely nothing negative to say about her work, and this review is not a reflection of her at all. The experience during that initial visit felt professional and smooth, which is exactly why I intended to return and continue using their services regularly. However, the issue started when I attempted to book a follow-up appointment a few weeks later. When trying to schedule online, I was suddenly blocked by a requirement stating that my dog must be neutered in order to book. This caught me off guard because Kainalu was not neutered at the time of his first appointment, yet there were no issues or restrictions then. Since that visit, Kainalu has now been neutered, so I went ahead and uploaded the proper documentation through their system to meet the requirement. Despite doing everything asked on my end, the system still would not allow me to book another appointment. I then followed up by emailing them directly, expecting at least some kind of response or acknowledgment that my documents were received and being reviewed. Unfortunately, I never received a response. No confirmation, no clarification, and no assistance in resolving the issue. I gave it some time, assuming there might be a delay, but the lack of communication has continued, which has been frustrating. At this point, it feels like I've done everything required on my end and still have no way to move forward. What makes this more disappointing is that I genuinely want to continue bringing Kainalu here because of the positive experience we had with Nicole. Again, she is an amazing groomer, and this situation has nothing to do with her quality of work. The issue is entirely with the booking system and the lack of customer support or follow-up. A requirement like neutering is completely understandable, but the inconsistency between allowing the first appointment and then blocking future bookings--despite meeting the requirement--doesn't make sense. Overall, while the grooming itself deserves recognition, the backend experience has made things unnecessarily difficult. A simple response or manual update to my account after submitting documentation would have resolved this quickly. Instead, I'm left unable to rebook and unsure of how to proceed, which takes away from what was otherwise a really strong first impression.

DOGS AND HUMANS WELCOME at this female owned and LGBTQ friendly establishment. It looks like a…read moreregular human bar lounge except there are dogs running around off leash everywhere! Owners and people who enjoy dogs, lounge on plush couches sipping libations or playing one of the many board games provided for free. There is even a pool table! The staff are friendly and the bar also has draft beer as well as all manner of mixed drinks. My wife and I and Bomer, (our King Charles Cavalier) came to check this place out. We had thought there would be food, but apparently the health department will not allow it. We were told that we could bring our own food, and there are plenty of places in the neighborhood to get some including a wonderful BBQ place 2 blocks away. Besides the bar area, there are some indoor and outdoor play areas for the doggies. It was raining that day but I did have a look. The outdoor area is quite small compared to some other dog/people bars I've seen There are also a couple of indoor play areas. One is exclusively for boarding doggies, which, I did go to check out and was immediately mobbed by both large and small dogs. They were friendly but, I was quite overwhelmed and the staff helped me exit. Now I was told there was yet another indoor play area for visitors, but it was "not open". The owner lady did tell me she would open it for us, but never followed up and I thought her messaging about it was a little confusing. Other than that the basic bat area seemed nice, and we could see there were quite a few regulars there who knew each other as well as the dogs seemed to. Our little Boomer tried to make friends and was able to run around and play with some of the other dogs We did order some drinks, I enjoyed my draft beer but my wife did not like the one red wine they had which tasted a like a port that had been mixed with a red blend. Blech! So, now for the stars. As my Yelp friends know, I ALWAYS start with five and deduct from there. I will have to deduct a half star for the terrible red wine with no alternatives. If you're going to be "a bar" you need good wine and more than one option. Then a half star for the mixed messaging I encountered over the "public indoor play space. So four stars! The building looked open and inviting, especially the back patio surrounded by flower bushes, so we stopped here for a beer. The space is so pleasant, both inside and out. Big windows, high ceiling, and then outside were tables with little fire pits- we sat at one of those but didn't need the fire since it was daytime and quite warm out! The beer menu has some unique choices, two of which we picked. My husband asked if the roasted pepper IPA was more like a roasted bell pepper or hot pepper, and the server said she felt it was more of a spicy pepper. She said she could offer him a taste to try it first, but my husband basically said, "Nah, I'll just go all in!" ... no regrets- he really enjoyed it! I was intrigued by the orange blossom honey braggot... I had no idea what braggot was. The server said it was something like a cross between a beer and mead. SOLD! Immediately ordered that thang. Ohhh it was delicious!! We simply stopped for one beer each and it was a shorter visit, but we really enjoyed our time. My only complaints are that the beer is on the pricier side, and there was something like a 20% automatic service charge (it was stated on a sign at the table so it wasn't a surprise). Although, I've been seeing that the owner from Perihelion has been responding to reviews here stating that due to complaints about this charge, they have gone back to normal tipping. If so, I think it's great that they listened to their customers. They may want to update their website to communicate that same message as well. I don't come to Beacon Hill often, but if I'm ever in the area, I will definitely return to Perihelion and maybe even try some of their food!
