Tested a Zero Motorcycle. Went with another dealer because prices were way better than anything they offered. I politely told them I was buying from another dealer. They said they would not work on my Zero, despite being an authorized zero dealer and service provider. That they only work on Zeros they sell. Bought an Extended warranty for my Seadoo GTRX 230 a few years ago. I was charged for a 3 year warranty and giving a 2 year warranty. I called to clear things up and was jerked around on every phone call. they promise to research and call me back. i called once a month they promised to research and call me back. One day I called and hear a male voice say is that Patrick and the phone immediately hung up. This tells me they don't want to fix the problems they create. I wish I could give them zero stars. They will get no more of my business. I love my Seadoo and if you love Seadoo or any other PWC it is worth traveling to another city to watercraft shop. read more

Went in and asked about a 50cc for the kids. She told me it was $2100. I was more interested in the side by sides. Went back and browsed them and found one I was really interested in. She was already talking to another gentleman at this point. My wife and I waited patiently by the utv I was interested in. She completely ignored us and went behind the counter and sat down. When I buy my side by side it won't be here. Update: Just bought a 2019 Honda Pioneer at Honda Powersports Marysville. The customer service there was superior to Ask. Let me start by saying this is just my personal opinion based on my experience on Saturday 7/27/19. Very disappointed with the staff and dealership. Lady walks around with her dog and makes comments like "I don't have bad days, I have bad moments." As we walk in. Almost to announce she was a raving lunatic... I went in and looked around with my wife and watched this lady and some other sales person try to sound like they knew what they were taking about. They argued about the wheel base of a machine that we had no interest in what so ever. My favorite was a seat question. Customer: "How does it recline back?" Sales: "It doesn't". Customer: Quick google search. "Looks like right here" Sales: "yup". They don't know so they just make up an answer. Then he brings me a 2019 catalog and they aren't ordering anymore 2019. We left after that. I found another offer at another dealership in MI and brought their deal back to see if they could match and order the unit I wanted. I still wanted to buy local if I could. I stood there for an hour waiting on someone. I made sure I checked in and then just sat on a tire waiting for help. I asked several people for help as they walked by and they said everyone's busy. Finally I got someone's attention and he took me back to the original lady sitting at her desk. She actually yelled at me because I brought her a "fake" deal. It was a quote from a reputable dealer on their letterhead. The deal was broken out line by line. Im sure its rare that someone gets this document. She went on and on about how I should try to support my local dealership. I kept telling her that's why I was there and dealing with her bullshit. I actually leaned back and had to motion for her to calm down because she was shouting at me so loud. She just kept going on about how it wasn't a reputable deal and she isn't going to do the work to find what I wanted for so little money. She said "I'm not paying for your recreation!" I understand 100% if she didn't want the deal or if the margin was too low. Just say that though. I think she realized the scene she was making because she finally stopped her rant and just took down my information. She said she would call me Monday, but of course that call didn't come. That place is old, run down, and ran poorly. There is a reason the review score is so low. I did find a dealership close by that would at least talk to me and not be sarcastic or condescending. They were great. They also have heard the horror stories about this place. Support the local dealer? Then support your customers!! Won't go back for anything. Wish they would close this place and open a decent dealership. Or re-staff the whole place. You can kinda tell its not professional by the actions of the staff. No uniforms or matching shirts, so you don't know who works there and who doesn't. I was 30 feet from the parts area and they couldn't care less that I was just sitting there obviously just waiting around. Oh well, I got my machine and found a great parts place too. Pony and Honda Marysville have been more of a help than ASK on a four-wheeler I bought brand new from them. If you would like every excuse in the book call Mike at the Grove City location. When I bought my daughters atv and brought it home ASK never put oil in it. Both back tires were going flat and they couldn't fix them. This was a brand new off showroom floor. The service department couldn't put a chain on a bicycle if they tried. I never seen so many incompetent workers as have at ASK. Stay far away from the grove city dealership. You will be sorry if you buy from there and worse if you think they can fix something. What a joke! read more

I would rate this place a ZERO if I could but I have to give a 1 star because I have to. Anyway, DO NOT EVER EVER EVER go to this place in Grove City Ohio for any service to your motorcycle or scooter and especially if its for tires meaning " Balancing " they do not have a real wheel/tire balancing machine, they use the old school method because the company is too cheap to buy or finance a REAL machine to balance wheels . I still have the same problem as I did when I dropped off my bike and I purchased Michelin pure pro tires and they promised me that when they were done that my bike would be in alignment and my wheels and tires balanced perfectly! Well guess what ? My bike still pulls to the right and all I got was 2 Michelin tires and a bad experience and a bike that still does the same dang thing it did before I spent 600 + $$$ on it and I will never step foot in that place again. I wont mention names but I will tell you this , the mechanics in this place and employees of this place couldn't give a crap about you or your bike and the language and just utter disconcern about the craft of which they are supposed to be doing is oblivious to them and its like taking your bike to kids in middle school and have them just practice on them while they're trying to learn they're craft. I'm not kidding around when I say this is the WORST PLACE I'VE EVER DONE BUSINESS WITH and THE WORST MECHANICS if I can call them that . I.I'm sorry if I have hurt anyone's feelings here but I just spent over 600 $ and still jave the same problem and whomever owns ASK MOTOR SPORTS needs to purchase the correct equipment and train their employees on how to use it. They won't buy this equipment because it costs money and they are all about selling bikes and over charging and when it comes to servicing the bikes well you are screwed because they don't have the equipment and they don't have the crew that knows how to fix whats wrong !!! Beware! If you come in to admire the motorcycles, there is a good chance that you will buy one if you are approached by the staff. They are very, very good at selling motorcycles. They have a continuously changing stock of used bikes that they take in on trades, and they seem to get them out just as quickly. The prices are reasonable for a dealership, and they have a service department that has a pretty short turnaround time. read more

I bought a Sea Doo spark from Ask. I had quite a few questions and they were able to answer some of them. Others they tried to call down the Lancaster office to get answers, so i will give them credit for that. I told them upfront that i wasn't going to pay for any destination fees or assembly charges, so if they couldn't waive them, let me know now so we don't waste each others time. After i got confirmation on that, i finally bought it and it was a little past closing time and I was trying to get it all done so that i wouldn't keep the employees from being able to get out of there on a Friday night at a decent hour. My big mistake was not doing the math for myself, as a $250 document fee was added to my invoice. I didn't catch this until a few days later. I get that they have to pay a secretarially person to notarize titles, but $250 is a little too much, in my opinion, especially for just a wave runner! Then add a $15 filing fee, and I guess i feel like i've been nicked and dimed by fees. Upon picking up the wave runner, they were nice enough to help me load it on my trailer but overall i fee like the bad taste in my mouth over some hidden fees will give me a reason to look elsewhere next time. **Update - originally rated as 2 stars, but after looking at my invoice a little closer, i realize that the $250 "documentary fee" was added to my price before charging a sale tax, so now i'm also paying a sales tax on the fee charged to do my paperwork? I thought "services" are not taxed. Checked with my neighbor and when he bought his boat from a marina, he paid a document fee of only $150 and it was added after the sales tax was calculated, not before. Also took me 5 weeks to get my title, so i hardly think I got my $250 worth on this document fee. Changing my review to 2 stars. read more

I would like to start by apologizing for the length of this review. I called ASK Powersports yesterday and asked if they had any Yamaha Roadliners in stock. The lady put me on hold and then came back on and said yes, and then asked for my phone number and said the sales manager would call me as soon as she was done with the customer she was currently helping. After 4 hours of waiting with no phone call, I called them back. When the guy answered the phone, I asked again if they had any Roadliners in stock. After having to explain what a Roadliner was, he transferred me, so I asked the next person. After having to explain what a Roadliner was to 3 different people, I was finally transferred to the sales manager. She said, "Yes, we have a couple of 1700cc's in stock." So I had to tell her that a Roadliner was a 1900cc. Finally I gave up and figured I would have to just go in and find out for myself. My wife is also looking for her first dirt bike, so I called this morning to ask if they carried dirt bikes since I was planning on going to look at street bikes anyway. I was told that they were fully stocked with all brands and sizes of dirt bikes. So we went in around 11:00am this morning. Once we got there, we dealt with several sales guys as well as with the main sales lady. I've never experienced such a lack of knowledge in a specialty store before. This place is a Yamaha dealer and nobody there knows the difference between a Yamaha Roadliner and a Honda Stateline, so I gave up with the street bikes and moved on to dirt bikes. They had about 10 dirt bikes in total, with most of them being 50cc kids bikes. But after talking with the main sales lady, we were told they had the perfect dirt bike at their East Side Columbus location and they would have it sent over and would be there within an hour. We decided to go have lunch while we waited. We got back about an hour and a half later and we were then told the driver that was getting the bike was about 30 minutes away. So we waited at the store for another 30 minutes. At this point, one of the guys told us it was taking longer than an hour because the driver had to go to the east side location and then to the Lancaster location before returning to the Grove City location. So now it was obvious they told us an hour just to get us to wait so they didn't lose a sale. So we gave up and left. After ANOTHER 40 minutes, they called me saying the bike was finally there. I told the guy that I wouldn't be able to come back today and I would see when I could. As soon as I hung up the phone, someone else from ASK called me right back to tell me the bike was there. This is not the first bad experience I've had here, so after this, I won't be returning to this store again. For any future bike and bike parts shopping, I will be going to Iron Pony or Ride 1. read more

Never will we ever give ask motorsports our money. January 30,2021 we put a deposit down for 2 jet skis. We were told they would be here within a few months. Starting in March we called numerous times and left messages that were never returned. Finally at the end of April I showed up at the store when they then told me we would only be getting one jet ski. We continued to be told the jet ski would be here soon. I then called again the beginning of June and was placed on hold for 25 minutes when no ever came back to the phone. I hung up called again and was told the store was busy and she would look into when we would be getting the jet ski. We finally Received a phone call on Thursday June 17, stating our jet ski was in and ready for pick up. We stated we would be in Monday June 21 at 10:30 am to pick it up. We arrived at 11:00 am and the jet ski was not even at the store it was at a different location. The jet ski finally got to store at 12:20. When it arrived parts were not attached to the jet ski. They said they would "do us a favor" and attach them for us. The mechanics were super nice and helpful but the sales people that's another story. We Finally left at 2:45pm with our jet ski. I was looking to buy a scooter to get around town and ASK came through for me. I was able to tell them what I wanted over the phone and they offered me a great deal on a new scooter. When I arrived at the dealership the bike was prepped and ready for me. The paperwork was fast and they even helped me find cheaper insurance. They helped me go over the entire bike until I felt comfortable hitting the road. I will be back! Thanks again I love the scooter! read more

This review is based one very short phone call and not any work/service done or product purchased. I called to get an estimate on replacing the chain and sprocket on my bike, a 2000 Honda Shadow (ACE) The guy said "that's older than we like to work on" and asked if it was in good shape, I answered yes but didn't understand why that was a question?? In any case - it's news to me now that my 17 year old, garage kept bike with fairly low miles little piece of joy -just became an undesirable bike to service. By the way, the estimate was $200 for labor only and the estimated time frame would be a couple of hours. Since I've never had to have a chain replaced, I really don't know what the going $ rate is but one, that seems pretty high to me and two, I had previously watched a few how to video's and a couple hours sure does seem like a looong time for a routine type service. But - I get it, my bike's too old, they didn't really want my business anyway and I'm glad to have discovered it via a short phone call. So, should you call them for service, maybe save yourself a few seconds and ask right off the bat "what year does my bike need to be for you to WANT to perform maintenance/service on it?" That's probably what I'll start off with for the next call(s) I make. Maybe I'm just offended because I love my bike and he just insulted it lol read more

I recently bought a used Harley Davidson. It needed a new rear tire. I purchased one online before I thought about how I was going to get it on the bike. I had been to ASK a couple of times for a helmet and oil for my dirt bike. I called them, and asked if I brought a Harley Davidson wheel and new tire in if they could put it on the wheel. I was told that they don't work on Harleys, but if I just brought the wheel, then they would do it. I brought in the tire and wheel, and the guy at the shop counter could not have been ruder. Immediately, he said, "We don't work on Harleys." I said it isn't a Harley, just a tire. He pointed at a sign on the wall saying they don't work on Harleys. I told him that I called and was told that they could do it. He didn't care what anyone told me on the phone. They would get the same price to change a tire, regardless of the brand. I wouldn't have cared if he said it will cost more. But to basically just tell me to piss off was not the right way to handle it. I will never shop at this store again. They do sell Kawasaki parts. My son laid my KX100 down over the weekend. I had to order an exhaust pipe and levers. I ordered them online. I would rather wait for the mail than go in ASK again. read more

I knew that ASK had been around for decades because I recalled seeing commercials for it when I was a boy so I expected experienced professionals. Yeah, experienced at playing childish games with customers. I would go through the insane ordeal I personally went through, but I won't waste my time (nor increase in blood pressure) on a place that would employ such immature imbeciles. I will say the owner is either a POS or clueless for allowing the shady business practices going on in the service dept. The manager of the service dept reminded me of a manipulative child that was never reprimanded as a youth.... or taken down a notch as a young man (which is clearly past due for decades now) because Mikes ego was out of control-- in person he was meek or acted like a petty b!tch (Im not a lil' guy), but over the phone he gained attitude. I spoke briefly with one of the young mechanics and he seemed honest and decent, but very clearly fearful of reprisal from his boss and therefore tight lipped and unhelpful about the real status of my bike. To give you some idea of how ASK Grove City operates Ill give you this warning. If you break down from the same exact "repair" 4 times (LONG AGO paid for repair) wouldn't you expect THEM to come after the bike at least once or twice, or bring it to you or SOMETHING as a gesture? Not at ASK Motorsports Grove City. It was obvious it was killing the manager to acknowledge they would have to work on it again (for "free") costing him man-hours and further inconvenience. Purchased a Honda 50cc dirtbike from ASK powersports four days ago. I found the employees polite and helpful. I did not haggle over the price of the bike; nor did I demand the next years model. I had a question about the bike, so I went to the Honda website. There I learned, I should have recieved $200 Honda Bonus Cash with my purchase. This was never mentioned on the two visits to this location. I was quoted $1,200 for the bike. Upon receiving the purchase contract I noted that the price was $49 higher than I was quoted. There was no bickering, and the employee attempted to print out a corrected contract. Due to the 1980's printer being on the fritz, she penciled in the corrections, I then purchased and left. Now that I realized what I should have recieved, I looked at the contract and I see that not only did the employee correct the $49 error, but she also wrote that any and all promotions go to ASK. I live to far away and it is to close to Christmas. I should have read the reviews, and now I'm just adding to them. This was a complete used car salesman move. Wow were do I begin, the service dept is wow is there a word worse than terrible. Took bike in for service and transmission work , was told would be about a month no problem. Waited a month for them to get to the work started. Called multiple time to find out were the service was and after they finally got to it the next answer was always waiting on parts. Waited for over a month on parts. (Just so you know this place never called me not one time, I always called them) Called last week and asked about bike and was told oh it was done on the 12 of March it was done but never recieved call from them. Was told by service manager that since it took so long for parts that I would get a break on the labor of three hundred dollars. Went in to get the bike from them layed out cash two grand and change, Asked about the military discount they offered and was told they gave me a break on the labor and were not going to give me a veteran discount instead thay gave me a Suzuki ball cap a grind while they stabed me in the backl I believe that I will never return to this dealer again.
