For the record, this review is specifically about the Ask Powersports-Columbus location. This feedback comes after a direct, difficult discussion with the owner/manager of this family business to ensure there is no confusion regarding which location provided this experience. I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience that started with the service department and ended with a complete lack of leadership. When I expressed my frustration, the manager's response was effectively, "service is bad everywhere." There was no apology or "how can I help?" Instead, I was given excuses about how difficult it is to find personable technicians and why I should essentially accept a subpar experience. It's clear management is more focused on preserving "margins" than providing professional service. If good service is hard to find, I'd still rather take my business to someone who actually tries. Being content with providing a horrible customer experience is a choice, and it's one this business has made. Recommendation: Save yourself the headache and go to Pony Powersports instead. They seem to understand that protecting the bottom line shouldn't come at the expense of the person standing in front of them. read more

2 years ago bought a 2023 gti170 jetski. Had good experience, then this christmas my wife bought me a 2025 gtx 325 limited jetski. Went to put in this memorial day and key wasn't coded. Called and was told my fault cause I didnt have it set up. After not returning my phone call I stopped in today, and was even more disappointed. I live 100 miles away so was cheaper to have local dealer program my key than to drive back. The trailer she bout with jetski wasn't set to the ski, amd bolts were loose. $31000 for jetski amd trailer, and all I got from the service manager was a dismissive attitude. Yes they'd fix the stuff if I brought back in, but was so rubbed wrong how he was so dismissive, couldn't even talk to me without working on pc whole time. Wife and I spent over 53000 at Ask Motorsports last 2 years. Don't understand why keys aren't coded to jetskis when they leave, and they did not tell us as he said they do! We won't be back! Bought 3 units over the years. I only go there because the salesman jarred is straight forward. If he leaves im not sure if i will go back. They dont list the prices on tags, helpful hint is go in with what your willing to pay. The owner patty has final say on sale or not. Once the sale is agreed upon its pretty straight forward quick process. They are currently in the process of adding alot of stock for there accessories department. They have the best selection among the 3 locations. No issues with the bikes I have bought from there. read more

The service department is absolutely ridiculous. They will tell you multiple different times & days that something 'should' be fixed. Over 6 months we've waited for something to be fixed. You'll call and ask if it's ready each time they give you a new date to pick it up. Their go to phrase will consistently be 'I hope'. You'll arrive & they'll have you sit for over TWO hours. Laugh as they try to say sorry they just can't figure it out & send you home utterly disappointed. read more

I recently bought an older Can Am Spyder and was aware that it had a charging problem, but the price was right so I took a chance. I brought it in to them on a Monday, and they told me right up front that it would be a few days before they got to it, so I was glad that they set expectations. They also told me up front that they have a minimum diagnostic charger equal to one hour's labor, and I thought this was fair. They called that Thursday, and I fully expected that I was looking at an $800-900 magneto fix. They said it was ready and to come get it. They found some neglect on several terminals, so they did some clean up and the battery started charging right away. I was thrilled to pay the minimum fee and will be going back in the spring for some maintenance work, and probably do some holiday shopping there (for myself) next month! read more

The second motorcycle shop I visited today, ASK is a Suzuki dealer, among other things. If "powersports" made you think they probably had more than motorcycles, you'd be right. They also sell ATVs, jet skis, etc. I didn't see any snowmobiles, but we got there right at closing time so I couldn't peruse as much as I wanted. Unlike most of the other bikes I saw today (at the other shop I visited), Suzukis are actually affordable, so I saw several that I could potentially even fathom owning! Oh, another thing I saw a lot of were those trikes that are popular right now. Not for me, but I suppose they do have some cool designs. This store had a much better selection of riding glasses/goggles. We tried on a bunch, and she found a couple that she ended up purchasing. They also had row upon row of helmet, and other accessories you'd expect. The selection was not lacking on anything. I asked about Dynojet kits for my old Suzuki. They said they definitely didn't have anything in stock, but they could order it if it were available. Turns out, there is nothing for my specific model listed in their wholesale catalog. I have it on good authority that there are some dynos out there that will work so I'll turn elsewhere I suppose. So I just bought my first bike from this location. Patty was super helpful and wasn't terribly pushy at all. What really blew my mind: we finalized a deal at the end of the day, and when they were showing me around my bike I asked about keeping it on the lot until the next day as it was raining and I wasn't comfortable riding in those conditions at the time. Instead Patty and Ed towed my bike to my house, without being asked. They're super friendly and I wouldn't have expected that level of service (this was about an hour after closing as well) Bonus points for having dogs as greeters. read more

Tried to call back on some questions - no one answers the phone I went across town to motorcycle max. At least they have enough people to do business. read more

I bought a Can-Am Ryker on August 18th !!!!!!! The temporary tag expires on Oct 5th, til today - Oct 2bd - my titel did no arrive, means: From Monday on I cannot ride. Apparently my ATV is too old to get an oil change service even though it was in just last year. Ben was very rude on the phone. (All money is the same color dude) I was actually considering buying a new ATV to replace my old. I won't be buying at ASK! There are lots of nicer places I would rather deal with. It's upsetting because I have had my ATV get serviced annually at ASK and today they wouldn't even schedule me. This is what you get for being loyal. Peace see you never again. read more

I have had my bike at two other shops, Independant could not fix it, Iron pony scratched my paint and forced me to pay there fee to get my bike released then told me they could not fix it. Got bike home found more broken than before they touched it. my friend told me to go to ask MAN AM I GLAD I DID not only did ASK fix my bike they did it for less than they quoted. I have been back twice for regular maintenance they look the whole bike over every time and advise me of things to look at in the future. they really are sincere all there service staff are riders and love what they do. Would go lower but it won't let me. Every time I buy parts from there they always screw it up and give me the wrong stuff. Doing a major repair on the bike which is my daily driver and now I'm having to return the parts and not get my money back for the express shipping I paid for. After this I will never buy anything again from them. read more
