Curiously browsing on Craigslist lead me to their website which was pleasant though a little tedious to navigate the inventory. I'm an inexperienced rider that hadn't sat on a bike but decided from seeing the perfect looking bike for me that I'd take the plunge. I showed up on a day that they are normally scheduled to be closed with the hope to see the bike in question but wasn't aware of the availability. The owner, pressed for time, went out of his way and availability to accommodate, allowing me to view the wide array of available motorcycles in the inventory. Tires were new on the bike I was looking at (stickers still on it), low mileage on the vehicle, and even though I noticed just a few scuffs from the previous owner of the motorcycle was a minor cosmetic issue (smaller than a dime in size on one of the fairings), the owner of Ohio Cycle offered to clean it up for me at no cost. I went in expecting to be wheeled and dealed like most automotive car lots but the owner and other mechanic employee was up front, supportive and straight to the point about what I had an interest in than trying to push something on me I didn't want. Without a helmet in tow he went over the selection available and offered to quickly ship in a helmet more appropriate for me while letting me use a loaner in the interim. All the while he went over basic vehicle usage and safety without excess in a friendly and welcoming manner, less than an hour later I was riding off and put my first 150 miles on the bike with a newfound appreciation for the hobby. We recently purchased a Kawasaki Mule from Ohio Cycle. We've been looking for one for about a year or so now just trying to figure out what we needed in a side by side to suit our needs as we have horses and move them around various fields all summer. This one had everything we needed. Has the fold down second row of seats for extra passengers,or it can be folded up to have full use of the large bed which we will be using to carry fencing,posts,water,etc. around from field to field. The price was really about average what we saw prior to coming to Ohio Cycle. Not to much more than others of the same make/year were being sold for. Weren't able to really test out the four wheel drive at the shop as they are pavement,but upon getting it home and testing it out at the farm it worked perfectly! Only issue we found after getting it home was that it has a bad universal joint in the front end but that's a cheap easy fix that's very common in these types of things. As we were loading up(he offered to have one of his guys help but we were fine and declined) he came over and offered us a hard top to go with it at no charge. Last month, I purchased a 1979 Honda CX500 Custom from Duane at Ohio Cycle. I was new to riding motorcycles, but Duane assured me that he only sells quality bikes. Boy, he was right! He answered all of the questions I had about the bike/riding in general, and I feel that the price I paid was very fair on both sides. He even personally delivered the bike from his shop in Worthington to my house in Upper Arlington (because I did not yet have enough experience to ride it home). After taking it out a few times, I can say that for a bike that is 36 years old, it runs like it's 3, not to mention how cool it looks and sounds! Duane also assured me that if there are any problems, I can bring the bike to him, and he would fix them right away. I haven't had any mechanical problems, but I did ask him to add turn signals and a horn to the bike (it was very bare bones when I bought it), and he's currently doing that at no charge for labor! I am very satisfied with Ohio Cycle, and if I ever want to trade up for another bike, I will go to Duane first! read more

I'm 49 years old and it's been 29 years since I've ridden a motorcycle. My son and I (17) decided we'd learn together. I figure, he may try to ride someone's bike in the future. It's best if he's trained by the DMV classes. I've read many reviews and they say that the Ninja 250/300 are great learning bikes. So I spot one on Cycletrader being sold by Duane at Ohio Cycle. He seems like a personable guy, clean shop and very knowledgeable. He'd sold the bike two other times as a beginner bike to people who came back and traded it for a bigger bike. I jumped on it and bought it that day. The ride home was a little white-knuckle because it started raining, but the bike was well prepared with newer tires and hummed along like a sewing machine. Best cycle shop I've found. Found the best bike at the best price. Couldn't find much near me here in Cleveland, expanded my search and found Ohio Cycle or as they call it ohiocyclemotorsports.com and found several bikes that peaked my interest. All were being offered at a lower price than similar ones and all were serviced etc. When I visited the place, I was surprised it wasn't a corporate style dealership but rather a pretty cool little shop. The owner Duane was really helpful in answering my questions and helping me find the right bike. He actually steered me towards something else when I told him it was mostly for a highway commute to work to save gas. I ended up buying a set of used saddle bags also that I would have never even thought of. He mentioned I would be able to bring it back for service at any time which I probably will do in the future. All in all, cool place, great prices, great service, and not a large dealership looking to take your money. read more

I recently purchased a motorcycle from Ohio Cycle, and it was the best motor sports purchase experience I have had. The staff was extremely helpful, very knowledgable, and very easy to work with. The purchasing experience was no pressure, without the usual opinionated attitude I have received from other dealers. I walked into the shop right before closing, and was encouraged to spend the time I needed to make my decision. Even though it was a holiday weekend and the shop was closed, the owner met me the next day to complete the purchase. We chatted about motorcycles for a bit and I rode off on my new, well maintained and super clean bike. Within 2 weeks I received my title in the mail. I appreciate a low pressure ethical sale which is rare in the motors sports industry, I will definitely be going to Ohio Cycle first for any maintenance and my next purchase. This is my second time having my bike serviced by Ohio Cycle Motorsports. The first time was two new tires, Duane made sure I was happy with the service plus put a new valve stem cap that matches the color of my bike. Second time is still in progress and Duane made sure I got my bike to the shop safe. He has called to keep me updated on every move he makes unlike some shop I know. I spent over $500 on carb work at a certain shop here in Columbus and they still didn't do it right. Duane had to break everything down and go through each part ( gas in my engine ) and charged me less than half to do the work. Low prices, stays in touch, discounted parts and great mechanical knowledge I have no need to take my bike anywhere else. read more

EXCELLENT SHOP! Duane showed me what was in stock (I arrived at closing time) helped me find a bike that was comfortable and in my price range, let me borrow a loaner helmet, delivered the bike to my home and then helped me figure out how to use the clutch when he noticed me struggling. Title was processed and received in the mail two or three weeks later as promised. I work for the City of Columbus and my name and approval is on this business. Thanks Ohio Cycle! After spending lots of wasted time searching around the entire state for the best deal I could find, I found Ohio Cycle and their bikes right here practically in my backyard. I just wish they were more well known as it would have saved me time and effort. I bought a different bike from a friend so it was a little scary with the unknown buying it from a dealer. Honestly, the process was smooth and all explained very well. Service was amazing and the owner was very helpful at showing me all their bikes (even though I already knew the one I wanted). I'm in the market for two ATV's. I noticed that there was a Can am for sale from Craigs list, so i called the number and some guy name Dwayne answered. He was completely rude as i'm asking questions... i think he hung up on me as well. I called back and he said this is "wierd" and hung up on me again ... what, that you are selling something and someone is asking questions??? Duane is a great guy, no BS salesman which I appreciate. He was able to give me a good deal on my first bike and helped me learn how to start and he loaded it up for me. Paperwork was quick, simple, painless. Shortly after buying the bike, it had a fuel leak. Honda wanted a boatload of cash to fix it and their recommended solution would not have worked. Duane and Mike were able to find and fix the loose clamp in one day and I was back on faster than I got word from Honda. Great place for a used bike. read more

I have not a single complaint. Dwayne was very knowledgeable, was kind enough to have given some essential starter tips and led me to a beautiful, Jet Black, Honda CB500r at a phenomenal price. Duane is the nicest guy you could hope to deal with in a shop. His staff are also very approachable and friendly, more than willing to help! I have now gone to them twice with 2 separate bikes. They were both repaired the same day I took them, and the price was very reasonable! Better than others I've seen so far. Wow I paid $600 cash got no receipt! And all the same didn't do the only work I actually took him my bike to work on!!! How does a $300 service not include new spark plugs!?!?!? Ended up getting a super good deal in a very easy process.
