We ordered two of the dinner specials 1) Pepper beef, egg roll, w/ fried rice: the fried rice and egg roll was bland no flavor, beef was sweet with lots of yellow onion wedges. 2) Broccoli beef / hot & sour soup, it was tastier than the pepper beef. My son ordered the orange chicken from the regular menu it was fine, made Panda Express was a bit better The Chinese food was ok, prices was fair, they do a lot of take out orders. Went here on a Saturday night. The food was good although apparently everything is served in take out containers even if dining in. We had tofu with mixed vegetables and brown sauce. Sauce wasn't very strong, but still tasted good. The white rice was also originally in a separate container too. The staff was friendly. The containers were plastic so not very eco. it was busy when we arrived. 3 people ahead of us the couple 2 ahead of us sat down like we did. In about 10 minutes they had their food. we sat down expecting to wait 10-20 minutes since after we came in it was a revolving door of people. we asked about our food about 50 minutes into waiting for it. We were told it will be up in a few minutes. About 10 minutes later we asked again. We were told the same thing. Finally another 20 minutes our food came to the table. It was put in a to go bag and was lukewarm at best. This place usually has great food and great service. I wouldn't have been as upset if my food was hot like it usually is but to wait that long and have lukewarm food is ridiculous! I just wanted to leave after being there for over an hour with no food. Best friend and I were on the last day of our road trip. We drove past the day before and since Yelp showed great reviews and pictures, we gave it a try. They look so small on the outside...like carryout only, however when you walk in, it is so much larger inside. Inside was very clean and the restroom was very well maintained. We shared an order of Crab Rangoon, which came with eight on the plate with bowl of sweet & sour sauce. They were so light, fresh, and so tasty! I could make a meal with just those! I also ordered General Tso's Chicken with side of fried rice and Hot & Sour Soup for their lunch special. I am not a huge fan of carrots or peas in fried rice but it was really good and flavorful. The chicken pieces were smaller in size which makes them easier to eat. The sauce was not overly sweet and had some bite, which I enjoy. The soup was so scrumptious! I am honestly still not impressed. Returned and ordered the salt and pepper calamari which was excellent but served without any type of dipping sauce. Made the dish a bit dry and lacking flavor. Tried the Mongolian with fried noodles. Once again the sauce was bland and the dish did not impress. Many Asian restaurants tend to use the same sauce recipe for many other dishes. But if you are seeking top notch, gourmet Chinese food for a fancy date, this place wouldn't be it...for something like that I'd venture to a city like Akron or Mansfield. I ordered the Hunan Chicken. It had a great flavor with lots of veggies and a decent quality of meat. I find that good meat is hard to find with Chinese take out type food, and I'm super picky about it. My friend ordered Szechuan Beef, which was also really good. I probably liked his dish better than mine, actually, and I'm even pickier about beef in my take out dishes than chicken. This place looks cool-ish from the inside, but the food is not very good. It's one of those restaurants that the first bite is okay, but as you keep eating it gets less and less palatable. I think it was because the food was so heavy. I felt that everything was swimming in oil and triple deep fried. Even my teriyaki beef had several pieces that were entirely fat. Personal favorites are Chicken with Broccoli, Shrimp with Broccoli, House Special Lo Mein, Singapore Mei Fun, and Crab Rangoon. The staff is friendly.
