Hibachi steak with Lo Mein and sake.
    Larry W.

I ordered the Hibachi Steak, Warm Sake, Boston shrimp roll, and tea. The steak was slightly overdone but good flavor, the brocoli was not steamed enough, but the Lo Mein was good, and the cream sauce for the lo mein was good. The ginger sauce for the steak was flavorful. The sushi roll was heavy on the cucumber and lettuce, a real sushi fan might not be as approving. The wasabi is slightly hotter than other wasabis i've tried. The warm sake tasted like pure alcohol, no other flavor. The salad was very simple lettuce and finely shredded carrots. They won't let a single person sit at the hibachi bar, but still costs full price if you want hibachi style food. The waitress was nice. For the area this is better than can be expected of a small country town. I highly reccomend this restaurant if you want an upper asian experience for a meal, I liked it way more than the Bistro. The drink menu was very vast in selection as well. The prices are very reasonable.

    Pork Katsu AKA jerky

have been coming here since they opened but the last two visits have been very substandard. My pork katsu was overcooked tothe point of being jerky, and my husbands hibatchi salmone was also overcooked, and the noodles were mushy. We don't mind paying for well prepared food, but to pay for garbage is not acceptible.

We were seated in about 2 min. to our hibachi grill/table. Quick ordering process! And then drinks, soup and salad! Our grill master was hysterical and fun! Food was exceptional !!! My only complaint is that they were more concerned with boxing up our food than offering refills, almost immediately after our food was done being prepared. I walked up with my husband and my empty glass to get refills at the bar... this usually gives them the point, then They offered refills to our entire table! All together great experience !!!!

Great little end to our dinner to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday. Overall, great experience and night out. And thank you again to Eddie for adding to our experience!

We arrived 1530, as they open at 1500 believe we were the only people in the house besides staff. Blake was our server. Must say that he did a terrific job taking care of us. There was a couple moments where it seemed like the bar service was holding him back, but we did not down check him for that. We decided on cocktails, a pickletini for me and mom ordered a tropical paradise. We also ordered an appetizer of spinach, artichoke dip at the same time. Blake brought our appetizer and apologized that our bar order was not ready yet. In fact, we were over halfway through our appetizer before our drinks arrived. Not Blake's fault, but the bartender was not doing him any favors. For our main course, mom decided on soup and salad, their seafood bisque and bistro salad. My wife decided on the lemon chicken with a Caesar salad while I decided on the petite filet Oscar style with loaded mashed potatoes. I ordered a glass of Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon to go with my steak. It took a while for our dinner to come out of the kitchen, that said it was well presented and perfectly cooked! My steak was a perfect medium rare and I was happy that there was asparagus with my Oscar Style! My wife really enjoyed her lemon chicken and sautéed vegetables. I tried bites of both and they were absolutely delicious! My mom raved about all of the seafood in the bisque. She also ate all of the salad which surprise us. We are happy to set in the far dining room at a four top. We really enjoyed the paintings on the wall as well as the staged photograph of The Restaurant. Must say that this was our best dining experience at this restaurant! Blake was a good part of it, but the food was as well. Keep up the great work!

It's a big restaurant off of a country road with plenty of parking. As of two weeks ago they were doing work on the highway that was kind of unpleasant with grated roads and lane closures but it looks like it will be done soon maybe.... Anyway, it's a large space with a gift shop and shabby chic decor that all appeared to be for sale since everything has a price tag on it even in the restaurant. The service was pleasant enough. The menu has fairly straightforward cafe like offerings of sandwiches and salads. I wanted something light so I opted for the cesar salad in spite of my reservations when it said tomatoes and olives were on it. Weird but whatever chicken, lettuce, croutons and cesar dressing still felt on brand so I went for it. This is not a cesar salad. It was a salad with balsamic dressing of some kind, toasted bread with the crust cut off and a cold chicken breast. And, it comes with bread but I was told they didn't have rye so I ended up with sourdough that was also not sourdough and the waitperson didn't bring it until I was mostly through eating my refrigerator cold chicken. Just, yikes. Additionally, I still don't know how there was rye for my sister's sandwich but I wasn't allowed to order it with my food. As for her lunch, the pastrami was fine but with a lackluster amount of meat. The French onion soup was the only thing that felt reasonable with quality and price. All in all, I think the snack bars or even grocery stores in the area/ Amish country appeared to have better offerings. I wouldn't recommend this place for lunch. The gift shop was cute and reasonably priced so maybe check it out for that but that's it.

I ordered the Outlaw Ribeye Medium Rare as it is known to be one of the biggest and tastiest steaks on their menu. While it's the only steak I have had here, I'd challenge whether a different option has the combination of beef flavor, tenderness, and juiciness; it was fabulous. For sides, it was worth it to splurge outside of the norms. The Strawberry salad was enormous and a lot healthier of a start before my 20 oz meat adventure. I enjoyed it and it was huge. I initially asked my server if they made a mistake as it did not look like a side salad. The corn was excellent as well. It was basically Mexican street corn and it was a very large cob with a ton of flavor and sauce. You really can't go wrong with this one. All and all, it depends what you want to do for the steak and the sides. I went big steak, few carbs in sides so I knew I could eat the whole thing. I can't stress enough how much I really liked the steak/corn/strawberry salad combination. I'm going to order it again. Service was very good. I sat at the bar and they had a lot of locals that knew the servers very well. Again, weird for a chain, because it had a hometown feel to it. Bread and butter was awesome. They have A1 and Heinz 57 for those that enjoy a table sauce on their steak. Visit, you won't be disappointed. At this price point, you are taking advantage of the Darden Company buying power and they pass the savings on to the customer to challenge competitors. Quick Tip: they grill steaks on open flame and a flat top. Depending what you order decides how it's cooked. I believe all the bone in steaks are open flame while filets and others are flat top. I believe you may be able to request a filet on an open flame but am not sure.
