Just another one of your typical buffets. I got the Hibachi chicken which wasn't too bad but nothing special. My go to is white rice and that wasn't fully cooked. The French salmon doesn't taste right. The mac and cheese wasn't even lukewarm. The service is pretty good; the waiters are pretty nice, the bare minimum honestly. Ambiance isn't horrible, people seem to like it but I'm just not a fan. The interior needs some work for sure. It just looks so run down and not very appealing. It is allergy season so I went to the women's bathroom for some toilet paper to blow my nose and the seat looked moldy. Let's start this off by saying that when we saw the 2-3 stars we were hesitant to pick this spot, however I am seriously glad we did. The food selection is not the biggest by any means but what it lacks in diversity it makes up in flavor. The noodles were delicious, the coconut shrimp was flakey fresh, and the hibachi is amazing (cooked infront of you). Now when it comes to service at a buffet place we all know the deal. The server was quick and polite and had our drinks topped off for the entire visit. He also answered any and all questions we had. The biggest area for improvement here is the atmosphere. The walls are brown, the carpet is a shade a brown and even the tables are.... Brown. There were some decorations around the place but it didn't feel cohesive and more like "oh I like this picture". The food was barely on par; I tried the honey chicken, the noodles, rice and some other form of chicken that resembled beef....the noodles ended up being the best thing on the plate. The ambience was on par which is why they get one star...1.5 stars if it was possible; the music was not too loud and I could barely hear the people sitting at the table behind me or the at the table two tables away. The service was below par; it was not crowded; after the drinks were placed on the table, the staff only came by one time to check on us; my drink had been empty for some time when they asked about a refill; no to-go drinks offered; and the check was never brought to the table, I ended up walking up to the checkout and asking to pay. The cost was absurd in my opinion...$50 for two people which ended up being two soft drinks (one refilled a single time), a single salad plate and an entree plate each. I feel like they need another option if people do not want to make more than one trip to the buffet. The quality/taste of the food would need to improve for me to want to make a second trip from the table. I used to like the place but I was always concerned with a lot of the food. Being a buffet, the food is out in the open and not quite as hot as I feel it should be. Most seems to barely be above room temperature, but the soup is always hot. I went in there yesterday and I took the time to look around and get a good look at its condition and it looks run down compared to when I first went there around 8 years ago. I also went to use their restrooms, which I normally never have to do when I'm there and I was disgusted! Right when I walked in I could smell the stench of old urine. The toilet seat was yellow in color, the floor was sticky and so I decided to see what the rest of the BR looked like. It was equally putrid. The best they could do to try and make an appearance of being clean was throw those pink ammonia bars in each one, but it didn't hide the greenish yellow color in the bottom of each one and it surely didn't cover up the smell. That's when I decided to go have a good look inside the kitchen while walking past the opening to it. As suspected, from what I could see it looked filthy/greasy/unkept. I decided then, that was my last meal there and I left feeling nauseous, but before I left, I told the guy checking me out that his bathrooms were filthy and needed a good cleaning. He couldn't even look at me after I said that. He hung his head in shame, and I walked out. I'm thinking that maybe a health inspector should walk in. read more
