So he did his best to help me, it's extremely hot inside it actually feels better outside and it's summer in Fl. General Taos Chicken had the right amount of heat level. Shrimp Lo Mein a good amount of shrimps through out the noodles and also the chicken in the Chicken Lo Mein. Finding Chinese food is usually pretty easy. Finding good Chinese food that doesn't require a long drive is not as easy. I'm happy to say that China 1 is good Chinese food! I ordered the General Tso's lunch special via Uber Eats. Even with Uber's markup, the price was fair for such a large portion AND a can of soda. The food was tasty and well prepared and didn't give me any issues. I was very happy with it. The flavor was good and it satisfied my craving. Here's what I disliked: The egg roll was just okay, it was your garden variety egg roll and lacked flavor and texture. The fried rice isn't your traditional fried rice. It's more of a yellow color ( I've seen that at other places) and doesn't taste like soy. It's tasty, just not what I expected. This is more of an Uber Eats platform thing, but if you look at China1's website, you can order General Tso's with varying spice levels, and the dish is usually somewhat spicy. Uber Eats doesn't have a way to specify your spice level, so I'm guessing that they default to not spicy. I would have liked my dish to default to a level of spice. The Coke was a little flat as well, not sure if that was a delivery issue or a stock issue. Overall, a good place and I'll definitely be back! read more

I was a walk-in customer. I ordered sesame chicken and general tso's chicken with fried' rice. The rice was hard, I was not able to eat it. Their version of fried rice was white rice with yellow food coloring. The chicken was so overcooked, it was difficult to chew and swallow. Absolutely horrible! The service is also a lot to be desired. The woman at the counter was on a personal call and yelling, I had a hard time placing my order. Extremely disappointed with the entire experience. read more

Ordered 3 dinner special for my family, including 2 kids. I usually have a good experience but this time was awful. The sesame chicken and general tso chicken was EXTREMELY hard to the point where it couldn't be eaten. I wish I could give less to be honest. My husband and I went to pick up our order after a rainy tiring day. Items were missing and some were burned and dry. Then my husband found a long black hair in his food. It was so disgusting I didn't and wouldn't eat my food. When I called for a refund they said the lady was very rude and said she would only refund the item with the hair and to bring it in. That's disgusting like I'm going to drive with that. My husband said it was not worth the drive. So unacceptable and inexcusable on their behalf. Never going there again. Last few reviews were good so I thought it give it a shot. The restaurant was not open for indoor seating but I was able to come inside. The last time I was there they were not allowing customers inside due to covid. My wife and I Love Chinese food and we were very hopeful that China 1 would be our go-to place. We heard some people giving the restaurant positive reviews so we stopped in for dinner. The place is spartan and although there are a handful of tables, it clearly is not a dine-in restaurant. The menu is big and has all of the typical fare. We ordered pan fried dumplings, a large wonton soup and an order of chicken lo mein. The restaurant threw in an egg roll with the order. The dumplings were, by far, the best of the meal. The won ton soup was extremely bland and the dumplings were very thick. The lo mein had very little chicken was very salty. The egg roll was pretty decent. The prices were ok, as were the portions. Now for the disappointing part. The food was all bland. We had won ton soup, fried dumplings, egg rolls and chicken lo mein. The won tons in the soup were large and filled well. Problem was the dough was so thick it is all you could taste. Even the broth had no flavor, just a bland broth. The egg rolls were also very full of ingredients, but no flavor stood out. Dipping them in duck and mustard sauce made them taste better, but they should be that way on their own. The dumplings were probably my favorite, but again, it was because of the dipping sauce they provide. The lo mein was the biggest disappointment. Just a bunch of noodles, very little chicken, and no flavor. We didn't even keep the leftovers because we knew we wouldn't eat them. I just had my first (not my last) meal from China 1 which is right around the corner from my house. I read the reviews before I went over and was so happy and pleased to see something new to try. Singapore Mei Fun was so delicious and the portions were incredible, I was so excited when I got the food that I didn't take pictures of the food before we started eating. We were treated by the owner to try some free Cheese Rangoon which was really delish. The portions, did I mention the portions! WOW. I loved this food, only con was there was no delivery, thankfully they are right around the corner. I will definitely order from them again. We ordered from our favorite Chinese takeout tonight and everything was off. New ownership and management has definitely brought this place down hill. The guy who takes your order over the phone and manages the counter is extremely rude. Yelling at you in a rude tone saying " is that it" after each item. I should have known then to cancel my order and say forget it. Everything was off and tasted poorly. The egg roll was not editable. Our traditional order of two combination plates and an order of fried wontons went from $21 to $27. I asked how our order got so high and he stated the prices changed yesterday. I will post the new menu for others to have before you order. Fried Wontons went from $3.50 to $5.39. I asked if the ownership has changed and he rudely tells me he has only been there for a month and he doesn't know. Ummm yeah ok buddy. Beware. New owner.
