There are a couple of different take out Chinese restaurants in the Ruskin/Apollo Beach area, but…read morewe are loyal to China Wok because they have always been consistent in taste, and it is such a quick and convenient location. The staff are always friendly, and our order is always ready when scheduled. They do have seating inside, but we have always ordered our food to bring home. I always get the egg drop soup and the combination platter of the chicken with vegetables that comes with pork fried rice and an egg roll. It's a generous portion, and I always have leftovers. My husband always gets the general tso chicken combination platter that also comes with pork fried rice and an egg roll. He too always has some leftovers. They have a good size menu with a lot of options, and the prices are reasonable.

I've been to this restaurant a few times so I guess it may be confusing as to why I gave 2 stars…read morehere's why. I like certain dishes because they are seasoned well. My issue is their portions. I got the lunch special pepper steak with fried rice and a can of soda totaling $8.35 plus tax. Like I said they seasoned their food well but they rip you off when it comes to getting items like the meats that go with the dish. If a particular dish comes with vegetables rest assured you will be getting more vegetables than meat. I know I shouldn't expect a lot from a lunch special right? Here's the kicker I would expect to get a decent amount of pepper steak they're cut into strips anyway but this time I got literally four mini straps of paper steak and about a half ton of onions and a few pieces of bell peppers. This makes no sense. This should have been called sauted onions and peppers with a hint of pepper steak lol. I now realize this restaurant covers up by making the food tasty so you get distracted by the lack of either shrimp or beef that's missing. The chicken and pork dishes are fine because those are inexpensive kind of meat so they give healthy portions when it comes to that. Pictured is what I received however I did eat a piece of meat and this was what was left of the meat portion there are three small strips left in that plate when I took the photo. This could be a really nice place to eat if they weren't so cheap with the meat and shrimp portions. Hopefully it gets better and if it does I will update my review

I deserve a full refund, but if they're too incompetent to take an order/ make an order correctly, I wouldn't count on them being smart enough to give a refund for the nasty food they gave me- unfortunately for them, they lost a loyal customer in return.

My wife and I gave this restaurant to try for the first time…read more We really enjoyed ourselves tremendously. The server was an absolute angel and made us feel very welcome. She was super nice and loved having a good conversation. She also suggested a very good role, which was called the orgasm role. It was excellent. We also liked that the fact that the restaurant was very clean had a nice atmosphere and wasn't oversized. For dinner, we had their chefs fried rice, orgasm roll and godfather rule. Everything was delicious. The rolls had great flavor and were very fresh and had a nice presentation. We also like that there was a good amount of filling in each role and it didn't have too much rice on the outside. We enjoyed the fried rice as it had a great flavor and was not salty and had a good amount of shrimp, chicken and steak in it. This will be our new sushi go to spot when we are in the area.

It looks better Wings are flavorful however they need to pull ll the feathers off. The rice is nice and dark, got it with onions- no peas and carrots. Unfortunately, they do not have bean sprouts. They have a kiosk to order or you can order at the window. Technology is a plus There is also a refrigerator of drinks ranging from soda to tea. It's conveniently located I will be back to give some of their other items a try. Update: I wanted their wings again and decided to get fries. Wings did not taste the same. -A different cook from last weekend. -The wings melted the container leaving styrofoam on the wing. -The fries were rubbery and unsalted. -Wontons are too small for what they are as well as the wrapper tasted a bit rubbery as well. -The flavor from the pork wontons tasted like old pork. I am not writing them off just yet but will not get the fries or the wontons again.
