Not the best looking Chinese spot by any means! Me and my brother just were in the mood for Chinese food and this was til he closest spot! Looks are about a 1/5....the food was ok. I ordered the steamed dumplings and my brother had the lunch special orange chicken with chicken fried rice and it came with an egg roll! He said his was pretty good and the steamed dumplings were quite plump and about a 7/10! It's location is very odd! The front area is dirty and cluttered! I was in Tamp for the Mary J Blige concert and Google restaurant. Wasn't too sure what to expect just looking from outside,but let me tell you....the food was delicious. Fresh and hot. I ordered shrimp egg foo young patties and shrimp with veggies combo plates. So far the best chinese place I have eaten. The portion was large. The combination plates could feed 2 people. The crab ragoon and egg roll was good as well. read more

It's a hole in the wall place next to a mechanic and rental car facility. Small easily missed sign. Like most of the Chinese places around here, they have the $5 lunch specials... but their food is much better. The fried rice has pork pieces and a great smoky flavor. I'm in the process of moving so all of my cookware is already boxed up. I opted for my favorite spot but they came dead last on my list after the feast I had last night. The bourbon chicken was tough and awfully chewy, the honey garlic chicken was incredibly dry, the house fried rice was just ok and there was a pebble in my house lo mein.. Yes, you heard right, a small pebble in my lo mein, if I hadn't detected it sooner I'm sure I would have chipped a tooth. I called and they wanted to send me another! My experience here has been hit or miss. I've ordered the exact same thing every time 5x, 3 of which were delivered. My first review was the best experience I've had but it went downhill from there. I've had stale rice twice and they refused to deliver twice. My final chance was today when I called for delivery and the girl gave me 3 different excuses about not being able to deliver (this is the second time they told me this. Once, I opted for pick up and another I reminded them that they've delivered before). First she said they had a minimum order limit, my order exceeded it. Then she said I was too far, I reminded her (again) that they've been here before. Finally, she laughed and told me it would take 2 hours for delivery. I gave up. read more

It's always rough moving to a new area and having to find a new Chinese restaurant. Since I've moved to Brandon, I have really been enjoying China Wok. All of their food is delicious, and they give really good portions for your money. They also have excellent lunch specials if you're looking for extra value. The one time I picked up food instead of delivery, I was impressed with the COVID-19 precautions they had in place. A lot of restaurants have relaxed their precautions as time went on, but I felt very comfortable when I was picking up food. Would recommend! read more

Recently moved to Tampa wanted some Chinese food delivered, ordered house fried rice. It was kind if dry, so next time we ordered lo mein. Really enjoyed it. The next time we ordered house lo mein, but the driver brought house fried rice, we called the resturant to let them know what happened, but we keep the rice and again it was dry. We ordered lo mein again and guess what we got the dry rice again and we kept the rice again. Next time we ordered lo mein and got rice I told the driver to take it back. Next time we called, the restaurant told us they can't deliver to my address. I asked why he said they don't deliver to my address. China Wok is upset with me because of their bad service. I just had to send this review in. They will change your order without your approval and expect you to pay for it. Customer service sucks!!!! read more

At last - a quality Chinese food restaurant in Tampa/Brandon! While I can't comment on the restaurant itself, since we ordered delivery, the food was delicious. The ingredients were fresh and the food was nicely flavored. I work near this location and just found out about it from a friend who worked in the area nearby. Tried it and seriously some of the best Chinese food ever! Had General tso's chicken, it was perfect mix of sweet and spicy. The rice was well done and the egg rolls were crispy and not heavy. If you're in the area, give this place a shot!! read more

I have been coming to this Chinese place for several years now and I have to say, I love their food. Their Egg Foo Young is always freshly made with white meat chicken only and the sauce for it is rich with a hint of curry. Some of their other awesome dishes are Honey Garlic Chicken, Hot Wings and their General Tso's tofu is awesome for vegetarians! I order from here all the time. I have never had an order messed up until Today. I ordered a General Tso lunch combo, a House Fried Rice, Wonton Soup and Egg rolls. Received my order and when I got back in my office and opened the bag. My lunch (house fried rice) was in the General Tso combo! The "crackers" for the Wonton Soup are not the nice fried ones- they sent mein noodles. There was no language misunderstanding as my order was taken by the young who speaks perfect English! This place is close to my job and is always busy! There is a reason they have so much business. The food here is awesome, I get fast service and the pork fried rice with orange chicken is sooooo good. I was a little nervous the first time I went because the sign in the lobby is yellow and kinda old - like we are in NYC and they are poor but someone said its been around a long time and they give enough food that you can actually eat half for lunch and be full then eat the rest for dinner. sounds good to me for $5. read more

I eat Chinese a few times a year and love this place. The Crab Rangoon is my favorite. Their won Tom soup is also very good. Shrimp with lobster sauce is the best I have had at any Chinese place. They have a really convenient online ordering system and it's not an app you have to download. Delivery is always less than a half hour. Portions are big. Prices are fair.
