The gentleman who took my order on the phone was patient and kind. When I picked it up, delicately packed with all the essentials (soy sauce, duck sauce, silverware) and they even poked holes in the Togo container to keep my chicken breading crispy! I ordered the dinner combo of sweet and sour chicken, chicken fried rice, hot and sour soup (must try!), and an egg roll for $18. Ok this take out place use to have good price when you check the year ago menu. Now the price went up. We still decided to try it. We got the beef rice noodles and beef pho. The beef rice noodle is take out standard. Noodle is average but is better than the pho we have next. The beef pho has bean sprouts but non of the typical veggies for pho. I was going to get V4 and V5, the more exciting Pho. But they didn't have them. I end up ordered V2. Just the noodle with beef. The broth was good, but it didn't come with basil or other herbs. The fried chicken! $15.99 for 10 pieces. Went there yesterday afternoon after work. The chicken looked good but, smelled and tasted so nasty. Former New Yorker here and I take my Chinese food very seriously. This is exactly what I was looking for when I was thinking of trying takeout that could compare to what I expected in NY. Tiny shop, family owned, nothing fancy when you walk in, paper menu and the bonus was excellent prices (even with Covid price increases). I ordered hot & spicy beef off of the dinner combo menu which came with fried rice, an egg roll and I chose hot & sour soup. I don't think I've ever seen hot & sour soup as an option on a combo menu before and it made me so happy because that was exactly what I wanted. They also let you customize your level of spicy and since I like to burn my face off, I asked for extra spicy. It did not disappoint at all!!! Very tender beef, super flavorful sauce, great amount of food. All for $11 and ready in 10 minutes. The gentleman who took my order was so kind and efficient. Short: Fried Rice disappointing because of name. Soup is delicious and recommended getting one. Fast and friendly. Long: For a place called Fried Rice King, their fried rice isn't exactly great or anything special. Though to be honest, we only did try the fried rice from the dinner combos. Maybe its better if you didn't get it from a combo but order it as a meal? The style here is NY takeout but their way of cooking the meal is definitely different than other Chinese Takeout places. The fried chicken wings are small. The general Tso's chicken chewy and not as good as other take out places I've tried. With that said, what stood out here is the soup. The Egg drop and the hot and sour soup are incredibly delicious. Probably one of the better tasting ones I've had. Lots of flavor, I was surprised how much flavor the egg drop soup has. Because it is such a simple dish, I didn't expect much from it. I mainly stick to ordering the soups from here now. I'll probably continue getting food from here since its in the area. The food was good. It was your typical good Chinese "fast food". There wasn't anything that was the best of the best Chinese but there also wasn't anything that was bad. Bourbon chicken was surprisingly very good here and the wonton soup was great. I decided to order from here, even after reading some bad reviews. That was a big mistake. I order general Tso chicken with white rice and a order of crab Rangoon. When I put the bag in my car I felt like it smelt kinda funky, but I continued my drive home. When I first opened up the box I could smell the funk even worse. I decided to try a piece of chicken. When I tell you this was probably some of the worst food I've had in my whole life. I didn't even take a full bite spit it out and took the food I immediately back and asked for a refund. read more

I just moved to OSH and I'm looking for a new Chinese take-out place. Some local friends said they sometimes get it from this place so I decided to give it a try since it's just a few minutes from my place. First impressions were not great. When I walked in to me it smelled like an ashtray. Not terrible, but like someone smokes there at night and then airs it out for the day but like it has gone on for a very long time. This is 100% anecdotal since it was not smoky and I don't know if anybody there smokes. It just smelled like it to me. But it was clear that the single person working the store (counter, phone for orders, PLUS cooking), with a single person on delivery wasn't enough to keep up with the demand. You could tell the food was made way in advance and just reheated for each order. My sweet and sour chicken was fried so many times it had grease pockets and the chicken inside was crunchy.
