On, I'm being a little generous here. I haven't lived in Tampa in well over a decade and when I did, I loved the food here. On this visit I brought my sons (who were not eating solid food when they were here last) to have the delicious food. So the food was still great! I had the General Tso with lo mein. Fantastic and generous portions. No brocolli though, which was a surprise. The main downside is the building itself. It badly needs a facelift. There are tables to eat at, but there was no a/c and the walls are dirty and the menu pictures are so faded. The gentleman taking the order wasn't unfriendly, but he wasn't exactly friendly either. It was clean. When I went there wasn't anyone there. For me not having the pint of shrimp friend rice that I wanted was a downer. The location is a bit strange and questionable and there was no ac but the staff were nice and made sure I had everything I needed and the wait time wasn't long at all (5 mins). Now back to the food. It doesn't have any seasoning at all but I can honestly excuse it because maybe thats how its actually cooked idk but it is extremely hot/fresh I burned my tongue eating the chicken but other than that. I ordered via DoorDash and the dumplings were soggy and they didn't have any dumpling sauce. I also ordered the garlic soy steamed shrimp with brown rice, it was cooked good but there's zero flavor. No soy no sauce I don't know what it was just rice with veggies with a little bit of brown sauce. Flavorless. Glad I have sauces at my house. read more

I went tonight to get some take out! After reading the reviews i wanted to check it out. It's a sketchy area but WOW this is amazing delicious food!!!! We got house special fried rice, beef and broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, and crab Rangoon's. When we got home the chicken was crispy (not soggy like other places) the beef and broccoli sauce was flavored and rich! I give this place 5 Stars. Used to be my go to Chinese spot, the last two times I ordered orange chicken and the after taste was disgusting (I'm sure it's not just the orange chicken) had a dirty water after taste instead of a fried oily taste it's very disgusting and have only experienced something similar in MEXICO..... This place is located in one of the scariest parts of town. But, it's really cheap and it's the best Chinese in town. Their $5 lunch special includes a can of soda, and their $7+ dinner special includes sweet and sour pork, egg roll, and fried rice. It's always completed quickly and is me we disappointing. Probably never again. It's not that the General Tso's that I ordered made me violently ill. Sure, I got bubble guts and had to sit in a fetal position for awhile after I ate, but that could happen anywhere. It's the aftertaste that makes me say "nope." Not just "no, I would not go back here," but no as in "If someone offered me a free meal from here I would still say no." It was that something-funny aftertaste left only by spoiled food. It could have been rancid oil or ancient pork in the rice, though it wasn't just the pork fried rice. Even the three minuscule pieces of steamed broccoli tasted off. If you are brave enough and you decide to carry on, order something with unbranded meat because you're likely to get more meat (even if that meat is possibly tainted). Most of my chicken pieces were about 70% breading and 30% meat. The only perk is that the General Tso's sauce here actually carries some spice. So that's nice. Still, buyer beware -- this place might give you the funk. read more

My husband and myself ordered the house special lo mein that comes with pork fried rice, egg roll and a drink for like $6 and we also got some sweet and sour chicken and some rangoons. I called right before closing and they were happy to take my order, so that was cool. I ordered a boneless rib dinner and a small pork lo mein. The prices are average and comparable with most other takeout joints. The amount of food you get is not. This place loads you up. As a fat person, I was impressed, lol. The boneless ribs were really good. The egg roll that came with it was unremarkable, but to be fair, a lot of chinese places don't make their own egg rolls (I don't know if this place does or not). The lo mein on the other hand was mediocre. It tasted as if they had overcooked the noodles, they were way too soft. Kind of funky. I'd go back again and try something else.
