Good is always on point. Delivery is almost always early which can be an inconvenience. Inside is not very clean or sanitary.

Great Wall has some of the best Chinese in the Ruskin/Sun City area. The owners are very nice and so far all orders have been complete. This is a traditional take out place. Krab Rangoon is very good. The egg foo young is very good along with the brown gravy (far better than anyone in the area). Beef and mixed vegetables, shrimp with Chinese vegetables all very good. I like how you can upgrade to small orders of fried rice or lo mein for a small fee rather than white rice. Only soup we have tried is the hot and sour. Nice lady, fast food(10 min.), GREAT value Previously I thought the chicken and brocoli wasn't very good so i must even out the stars. I liked the general tso chicken, it does have some spice like i like it. The lunch special is 11-3:30 which is amazingly long and enough to get lunch on a flexible time. The menu's are very good and even include pictures of the food, reminds me of new york and authentic Chinese take out restaurants. I think you should try this take-out it if you like chinese or need something quick. It is better than fast food and really has good flavor, service and is close to grocery stores and shops! I was craving crab rangoon after several attempts to make it from scratch. Word to the wise, crab rangoon is not difficult to make but it is time consuming. After researching a few places The Great Wall Chinese Restaurant was the closest. The restaurant was a small kitchen front which was cluttered with various boxes and plastic containers. Honestly, I was a bit hesitant to eat from the location given the disarray. I purchased one order of crab rangoon (9 pieces) for $6.99. One of my old time favorites been since 2012 or longer and over the years as more and more people move here they find the Great Wall ! This was a favorite for me since coming from the NYC area and having lots of choices Ruskin feels very backwoods. So once again I'm happy to be able to enjoy something familiar since I left behind so many great dining experiences. Ordered online and it was a little pricey, but the food was fresh and the amount that was give was enough to enjoy leftovers the next day. Ordered lunch delivery on a busy Saturday while I was working from home. Delivery was prompt and within the time range I expected. Ordering online charges convenience fees from the ordering platform, and there's a hefty minimum charge for delivery but hey, it's nice to indulge every once in a while. I had the General Tso's chicken lunch special. Outstanding value, comes with the meat, pork fried rice (that yellow fried rice that many restaurants use), and a can of soda. To meet the minimum ordering requirements, I also ordered krab rangoon and Chinese donuts. Everything was hot and delicious when it arrived to me. The chicken had the most depth of flavor I've had from a Chinese takeout restaurant. You could taste the difference from being cooked in a real wok. The rangoon was also nice, with a flaky, crispy exterior and a tasty filling. The Chinese donuts were also good but I was pretty full by then. Every place I live I try to find a go to Chinese restaurant. I usually settle for an okay experience, but I'm happy to have found Great Wall and will not be settling when I pick them in the future. I really contemplated about giving this place a bad review because I do realize things happen and when I ask for my money back they did not give me a hard time about it. I always heard that some of the best food comes from a whole in the wall place but now that I'm a little more peculiar about things, that notion no longer holds true. Especially when you notice the back door to the kitchen open. During the weeknight, I wasn't cooking and craved some Chinese food, well a friend told me to try this place and so I did. When I got home and was preparing to eat, I saw a bug in my food. I packed everything up and took it back. I told the cashier about it and she asked if I wanted another one, but I no longer wanted anything from there, so I ask for my money back. She was nice enough to void the transaction but they really need to make sure they're not serving obvious insects to customers and keep the back door to the kitchen closed. read more

Great Wall has become our favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. Most of the food is great and the prices are reasonable. I had never tried Great Wall because it looked dumpy in a very dumpy strip center. Finally I gave it a try after a neighbor's recommendation confirmed by Yelp reviews. It's easy to order by phone and pick up. Great Wall actually serves spicy dishes spicy! Other places we tried served sweet hot and sour soup. Great Wall serves hot and sour soup that doesn't need added spices. I'll keep going back for the hot and sour soup as long as it stays hot. read more

This place offers the best Chinese food in the area. It's a small place and you could really only take it to go but it's totally worth it. Will usually get the family meal and it's enough to have leftovers for our little family. Every time we go in there the people to register always nice it off a really good service. We've eaten here several times. Delivery can be hit or miss and times range from 30 min to over 1 hour. So if you live close, it's best to pick it up yourself. The food taste good and is fresh and hot. Nice to have them in this area. They're in an older strip mall with plenty of close parking, and are open fairly late each night. Authentic Chinese food from mom n pop type eatery. I think there's a couple booths inside if you want to eat there, but it's basically all carry out. Let's be honest South Florida is not New York. That being said, Great Wall is so far pretty good and they deliver! Meaty ribs, delicate dumplings filled with savory pork. I spent $ 50 on food and it was terrible...The rice is bought cooked in a pouch and microwaved to be heated,,it is not even close to a stir fried...the bourbon chicken was dry, overcooked, tough and had no flavor. Don't waste your money , you will be disappointed...unless you are used to eating junk....This place is no better than China one. Poor excuse for Chinese food !!
