I've been going to finn's for years now, and it's one of my go to places whether to catch a quick drink during sunset or meet up for dinner weekly with friends. Best. Brussels sprouts. Ever! I know! I'm at a seafood place with great views and tons of tropical drinks-and I appreciate all of that, too. But the Brussels sprouts... wow! They're made with honey... and honey, they're gooood! They're magical-and after an extra long work week, they were also medicinal. Finn's sits right on the water, in Apollo Beach. It's tucked back in a residential area, not far off U.S. 41, right next to Circles. We were there at 12;30 on a Friday afternoon and parking was already scarce. (I can't imagine weekend nights) But don't let that hold you back. This is a fun spot-with inside dining-a huge covered deck and two other outside areas-all with great views. The food and bar menus have enough temptations to keep you coming back for that alone. The blackened mahi was cooked well and not too spicy. It comes with pineapple pico-that was balanced-not overwhelmed by onions. And the fries were really good-nice crunch-came out piping hot. And don't forget the Brussels (I sure won't!) I thought $21.99 was a fair price for the generous portion of fish and two sides (they have a large sides selection!) The drinks were good-nice kick, but not too strong--just right. I hadn't had a rumrunner in *years but suddenly had a craving for one. I knew it would be sweet-and it was-but I liked it. The key lime colada (made with Rumchata coconut!) was very sweet but really good. The perfect dessert. The vibe is casual, laid back and fun. Service was warm and super efficient. Amanda always knew just when to check in. It was the perfect April day to be out on the deck. It's a great spot to laugh with friends or just chill out and slow down. I'm all for all of it. This is a beautiful little restaurant with an amazing atmosphere and view, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. I ordered the Caprese salad, and it was incredibly salty. I was with a party of 11 and at least three other diners in my party complained about the saltines of their food, which were all different entrées. Finn's actually checked off all the boxes for what I was looking for... So we're camping and decided we wanted a change of scenery... Something on the water with live music... Deep down I also wanted outdoor seating with a little lively atmosphere. Sometimes you get what you want just as I did here at Finn's. Pulling up and parking spots were at a premium... Large enough parking lot but this must be the place to go... We got lucky and snagged a spot pretty quickly... We entered through the tiki bar entrance and were seated right away... Wow, I was expecting bar food at this place, but it was so much more. I got the blackened mahi, potatoes, and Brussels. It was phenomenal, especially for a sports bar. Finns was solid, but nothing special. Location is great, right in the water! They do have a small parking lot which will for sure fill up on the weekends, they did not design that very well. No overflow parking options so you're forced to park in the middle of the divided highway. Food was okay, oysters were good but the shrimp po boy was lacking. Over cooked and the bread was stale. Always good. Their drink menu is great! The inside is big w/large bar in the center. It can be a bit noisy, with wide screen TV's. We usually opt for outdoor dining, where they have live entertainment, relaxing by the marina. It's a beautiful, soothing place. They have a green that you can sit, eat and visit with your friends. Stopped by for happy hour after a rough day and Jamie was the bartender at the Tiki bar. Despite being fairly crowded, she was kind, courteous, and extremely pleasant to order from. If you value your privacy when having your meal, this is not the place to go. This establishment sold their CCTV footage of musical group BTS to the local news station and even provided a receipt of the items they ordered. Who does that?!? I would take my business elsewhere if you value your privacy. Makes you wonder what they do with any of their customer's credit card information. read more

I've wanted to try this place for a while since I grew up in the Tampa Bay Area but live more near lutz. Finally was able to try it and honestly the food wasn't impressive at all. I for one will pay top dollar for good food but the prices don't reflect the food quality imo. The buffalo dip was served in what looked like a frozen pizza dinner container (tasted microwaved). I will say the ambiance of the place is cool, you're outdoors on the water. It 's nice... just wished they would do something about the food. Stopped in to Finn's after spending half the day at the Teco Manatee Viewing Platforms. We had a very nice experience at Finn's. We started with a round of coconut shrimp. Shrimp were large, well cooked and piping hot. Then we did Cobb salads with blackened grouper. The fish was so fresh. We also split a shrimp boil. It was nicely seasoned and had shrimp, corn, potatoes and sausage. All in all, great time, good view of the sunset and awesome food. read more

I did not have a meal here, but I will never visit this establishment due to the disappointing manner in which they conduct their business. Some guests with whom I am familiar recently visited this establishment and due to them being quite famous, the restaurant owner decided to SELL the cctv footage to an entertainment news company for profit. Private moments shared during their off time, enjoying a meal together after performing for 60,000 people for three days to generate business for the local economy, and this establishment sold their security footage to make a buck and gain notoriety, I'm assuming. This Location is amazing. Stopped in right at sunset, with live music playing and it was a total vibe being there right in the water. You seat yourself outside and there is plenty of space to choose from. Menu is pretty normal for a restaurant and bar, ok prices and the food was adequate. Couldn't leave 5 stars due to the service. We sat for 10 min before someone even greeted us, then another 8 for someone to bring waters and allow us to order. Her attention was lacking even after we ordered, no silverware was given and no one came back to take our dirty plates. That was the only thing disappointing. read more

I came here with a big group of friends to celebrate a birthday. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had an indoor and outdoor area as the night we went It was a bit chilly. It was nice to have the option to sit inside. They also had live music, which was a nice touch. I really love the beachy vibe. This restaurant is right on the water with that said definitely recommend coming to see the sunset. The food is very good and the portions are large. I recommend the lobster mac & cheese. This is not your normal lobster mac & cheese as they give you a whole lobster tail. I was definitely impressed with that. They have a full bar with an array of drinks. I recommend getting the fins strawberry margarita it was delicious. This is a great place to come to whether it's for a family event, first date, or just wanna hang with friends. I'm sure the food is good, but it's unfortunate that they don't respect the privacy of others -- selling CCTV footage and someone's food order to public news stations is very odd.
