Cute lil place, has a large mural on the wall and lil knick snacks on the counter like a dragon ball z figurine. Staff was friendly, service was good, they checked on us a few times. I ordered the dry noodles with minced pork and eggplant, man it was so overly saucy bleh. I asked the waiter if he could maybe rinse some of the sauce off with some chicken stock or soup broth but he said no, I was not happy about that, I stopped eating it and tried the other dishes. We ordered Pan fried dumplings with curry chicken and potatoes, it had a samosa vibe to it. Also ordered the pork and shrimp xiao long bao, they were perfectly soupy and the power part wasn't too thick nor too thin. My bf ordered the lunch special curry chicken which came with a fried veggie eggroll, here had no complaints. For dessert we ordered the custard buns which were so cute, they looked like lil bunnies and the tasted fresh not frozen from Costco or something. Our server was attentive and answered our questions. But enough about that. PLEASE try the Curry Beef & Vermicelli Pot Stickers. They are too notch. The Braised Pork Rib Noodle Soup was something that warmed our bodies from the inside out. I ordered the Chicken Chow Mein thinking I was going to have like half. Nope. We went here once and it was amazing, came back a month later and it's awful. The food used to be delicious and the service was fast and friendly. They must have changed ownership because now the workers hardly understand basic English. The waiter asked if we were ready to order, I began speaking and he cut me off to run to the front door to seat somebody else before returning. He then forgot my drink and my dumplings so I waited 20+ minutes for nothing. I got angry and left without eating. The TV was awfully loud and there was what I assume to be a leak in the roof. Follow up review on Dumpling World (ordered to go this time)! So on the first order I gave 4 stars because food was delicious, service was standard/fine, pricing was good. On this review I am doing five stars and that is because the service was exceptional (thanks, Jimmy!) and the food was consistent to the first time I ordered. I placed an online pickup via GrubHub at about 8:15pm and the pickup time was 8:32. I arrived closer to 8:40 and my order wasn't ready but staff was very straightforward about it, popped out with periodic updates, and even offered a beverage for having to wait. I'd say we walked out at about 8:45 (tbh, not too bad/I expect it to take time to make great food). We ordered the pork and scallion soup dumplings(2), eggplant in garlic sauce, green beans with pork, combo fried rice, and general Tao's chicken, smashed cucumber, order of egg rolls (I was feeding 8). Order was around $90 but everyone ate plenty and we had leftovers for the next day. I really think this place is going to be a gem in this community if they keep delivering at this rate.
