Asian Cuisine is spacious and beautiful. It reminds me of Asian restaurants in OKC that typically hold wedding receptions. It has the capacity to do that purely based on its space. There are 2 entrees you have to try at Asian Cuisine: the LOBSTER and the crispy soft shell crabs. Both of these entrees are highlights of the restaurant. No other restaurants make better lobster than Asian Cuisine, EXCEPTIONAL. The other entrees were okay. The restaurant was slow on this particular day. I was told because of the Tulsa state fair. This is an overlooked gem. We got the $24.95 AYCE (3 roubds max which is plenty) of hot pot and grill tho would have been satisfied with the $22.95 hot pot. Hot pot and grill options are slightly more limited than other places but the 20 or so ingredients are plenty to choose from and we tried most except for the clam and conch. We had regular chicken and regular spicy soups, not Sichuan mala since my American Caucasian hubby doesn't like mala (100c's version would be virtually impossible to beat except they are closed on Mondays). This is a great place to get hotpot and it's all you can eat for $25!! They don't have a lot of business which is surprising because the hotpot here was super yummy and I'm sure the rest of the food is great. They gave you a huge stack of short ribs for an extra $2 which was worth it. The soup bases we got were Tom yom, and house spicy broth and they were flavorful. This is a fantastic restaurant to dine at if you want some Cantonese style food where they also serve fresh hot tea. There's frequently several weddings or special occasion celebrations going on throughout the year, so large parties can book up most if not all of the restaurant at times. We always get their Peking Duck 3 course meal, which is good for sharing in a group of 4-6 people. The first course is their roasted duck meat and crispy skin chopped up into pieces and served on a plate. The second course is a plate of steamed buns (also known as bao) where you put some duck in the middle along with green onions and oyster sauce, which is essentially creating your own mini-sandwich. The third course is a very large bowl of flavorful soup made from the leftover duck bones and mixed with tofu and bok choy vegetables. Ordering family style is the way to go in order to try several different dishes. If you go in a group of 5-6 or more, you can usually be seated in a large round table where there is a rotating glass plate to hold all the dishes so that anyone can spin the plate to get to whatever dish you want. Other yummy dishes that I recommend include steamed whole fish, lobster with ginger and scallion sauce, crab with chili pepper, sea cucumber with Chinese mushroom, crispy roast pork, Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce, water spinach with garlic sauce, salt and pepper calamari, dry beef flat noodle, beef stewed pot, and yang chow fried rice. Ok so the restaurant is outdated and looks beat down BUT it is clean inside and there is a lot of space. The food taste really good and authentic which I think is more important. The salt and pepper ribs were delicious and every piece had bone which makes a big difference. I would order this again. The roast duck was NOT the best but for Oklahoma it was doable and juicy. I love this place, it's very quiet, and very delicious. I love their calamari. They have great duck as well, and their hot pots are the best. I wish I could come here more, but it's far from us. This place is the real deal! We love it. It's one of our favorites with our friends. Their fried calamari is the best around to start. I may not like "authentic Chinese food" or this place is just plain bad, either way I didn't like it. Let's start with the hot and sour soup. It wasn't fresh and almost had the consistency of chili. It was probably made several days ago and had been simmering since. Besides being thick, it consisted primarily of small bits of some unidentified meat with a few mushrooms. It didn't look good and it didn't taste good. Not appetizing at all! In the restaurant's pictures of the roast duck looked delicious. I had hoped for hot crispy roast duck, instead I got a roast duck that had just came out of the refrigerator chopped up and served a little cooler than room temperature. It may be authentic though, because they do serve the head! The orange chicken was no better! The service was less than average. Just stay away! Their best dish for me would be their BBQ Duck. It tastes best when it's hot and fresh. Juicy, tender and seasoned well. This is one of those hidden gems. The food is excellent! They offer both an authentic Chinese menu as well as popular American-Chinese options. The prices are very reasonable and you get large portions. A couple of my favorites are the salt & pepper shrimp and the house special chow mein. it is a quiet little place with the most pleasant and wonderful grandmother like waiter. she was the highlight of our dining experience. we sadly cannot say for the rest though. My boyfriend and i came in for hotpot and we're kindly directed to a table. we ordered our food and it didn't take too long to come out. the meats were frozen. the shrimps were fresh, deveined, and shelled for us, and the noodles were frozen as well. we also got the grill portion as well and to say the least, it was not desirable. the sauce on it tasted like the cheap asian sauces that you leave in the back of the fridge and forget. the broths were okay, i got the spicy broth and my boyfriend for the regular one. the regular had good flavor but the spicy lacked. i recommend soy sauce dumped in or some salt. we don't expect everything to be fresh but we expected the meat to at least be thawed. while eating, my boyfriend started to get sick and we just thought he ate too much but near the end of it, i started to get sick as well. we don't know why but we are not coming back sadly. the feeling of nausea really off put us. read more

Let me start with the service and wait time. The food takes a while to come out. When it does come out, the server don't bring the dishes out all at once. You'll get a dish here and a dish there, which i don't like. I wish they would wait until everything is completed and bring it all out at once. The service here can get very slow during their busy hours. I have never seen more than two waiter/waitress working at the same time. Without being said, lets get to the food now. Hands down, the best chinese food in town. Price per dish is reasonable, as long as you're not ordering the lobster or crab. They can get expensive but worth a try. All the food come out fresh and hot off the wok. It is very flavorful and delicious. So is it worth the wait? Yessss. Food can take a while to get out, but when it's out you'll love it every time. Went here with one of my friends and it was no one there. It was amazing. It was my first time trying this place and I feel like it is a underground restaurant. This hidden location is loved near 21st and Garnett next to the CiCis. They greeted us when we first walked in and then made sure they we had our order put in. While there, we contemplated whether it was worth the drive across town and based on craving and past experience it was. I actually miss the steakhouse decor. Gives it character. New location looks to have taken over a former buffet restaurant. They have signs on their entry notifying customers there's no buffet We got four entrees. Bill came under $50 w tax and tip. Portions are huge. Plenty to take home and enjoy for your next dinner. My favorite was the veggie clay pot. They had crispy tofu with mushrooms and bok choy. When we called to ask why it was talking longer, owner threatened to sell our food to other Customers if we weren't happy waiting. You had me at the front door with the sign, "No buffet -- only table service." We tried Asian Cuisine at the recommendation of a visiting student from China. Figured it had to be good if she said so. We were amazed as we walked in by the atmosphere and traditional restaurant setting. The large menu is varied, with popular Chinese favorites at the back. Had we stopped at the calamari appetizer we would have been pleased. We rank it the best we've had outside of Santa Cruz. What a large helping! But we went on to share four entrees family style with a large bowl of fried rice. We left with carry-out boxes. And we left a larger than usual tip because the bill was so reasonable. I've eaten here on two occasions, and so far I have been really pleased with the food. The first time we dined here, we had the roast duck, Hong Kong lobster, and Hong Kong fried rice. There was nothing bad I could say about it, every single dish was excellent. The second time eating here was more of a family event, but we shared a number of dishes. The one that stood out to me the most was the white fish, chicken, and tofu hot pot dish. If your not a fan of fish sauce, you might wanna pass. This place is amazing. I would give it a 5 star but they messed up on one of my favorite Chinese family style dish! Let's start with the price. We ordered 6 dishes and it barely was $65. Amazing. We fed 6 people with leftovers! We had the whole duck, Tom sum soup, beef flat noodles, salt and pepper tofu, water spinach with garlic, and fried rice. Everything was very good down, esp the duck. I loved it. I was just disappointed with the salt and pepper tofu. It was over fried and huge. It was almost like eating rocks. That's my one and only concern. While their menu is pretty extensive, we went on recommendation mainly to try their roasted duck, which was tasty with a crispy skin and pretty tender and moist. The full order comes on two plates, so depending on your party size, the 1/2 order may be enough. We also ordered the dry beef flat noodle which had a good combination of very slight sweetness and savory and a decent portion of beef to it. We asked for the chicken fried rice to be very spicy, the server said he ordered three star spicy for us, and we all thought it was pretty mild. I'd go 5+ star on the spicy for next time probably. The Chinese broccoli in garlic sauce was cooked to a nice tenderness without being overdone and had an ample but not overpowering garlic flavor. Egg rolls are $1.25/ea and are some of the better ones I've had around town: they aren't just crispy but have a balanced flavor of spices, pork, and veggies, I definitely recommend these to the egg roll lover. One of my favorite plates of the night was the soft shell crab appetizer. They are lightly breaded and deep fried perfectly crispy with about 4 or 5 on the plate accompanied by freshly sliced jalapeño garnish to add some nice kick to them. The atmosphere isn't fancy, but not too dumpy either, and the service is friendly and quick. But what you come for is the food. The value is very good for what you get. And with everything we had we could tell it was more than just overly salted food to disguise a quickly produced meal, we could taste a variety of flavors like garlic, ginger, Asian five spice, pepper, etc. Asian Cuisine serves up quality meals where you can let your taste buds explore a bit, so go visit and have some fun with it! Loved this place when it was at 51st & Yale. Stopped at the new location for dinner with my wife and we were not disappointed. Much nicer location than the old one, more like a typical Chinese restaurant. Still not high end, but I'll take great food over atmosphere every time. Salt and Pepper Calimari appetizer was great, as usual, possibly the best Calimari I've had. For entrees we had the Fried Sole and Salt & Pepper Crab. Both were fantastic, the fish was crisp but not over-cooked with an awesome sweet and sour sauce. The crab is wok fried with salt and jalapeños, cooked perfectly.
