Wow the food has changed. EVERYTHING was awful. Nobody could even swallow the food after taking 1 bite. All of the chicken dishes tasted like black licorice, everything fried was mush, the macaroni and cheese was spoiled and the clams smelled like raw sewage. The "waiter" brought the check when he saw us spitting the food into napkins and then he proceeded to stand at the end of our booth staring into my purse with a creepy smile as I got out the money to pay. I told him it would be a minute, he said "ok" and took 1 step back while continuing to stare into my purse. I told him he shouldn't do that because it makes people uncomfortable and it's rude, he had no response. He followed us to the door wanting to give me my 30 cents in change and he was promptly told where he could stick it. In the end, we paid $100 for 4 people to not even eat. A bit disappointing to be honest, even when I wasn't expecting much. Props to the staff there though. They are super efficient at picking up plates and refilling waters. Like scary fast. Food-wise definitely nothing to write home about. Everything was pretty meh including the sushi and the Chinese food. The how and sour soup was bland and the General Tso's chicken was soggy. My favorite items were the Chinese Donut and the banana pudding, sadly. Overall, I've had better buffets. My girlfriend likes the one in Henrietta better. I can't complain too much. I took my fiance and my best friend because it was the closest buffet with seafood. We had a craving and I was determined to fulfill it. Going in, I was excited because there seemed to be a lot of variety and all the stations looked pretty well stocked. We tore that buffet up! We were loving life and though there wasn't a huge variety of sushi, we weren't really there for that. It was about the seafood, Jack! We loaded up on everything we could find and made our way back to the table. Chowing down does not quite describe the actions we took that day. It was... carnal. We tore into the crab legs like we didn't have any sense! And then... as we made our way out the door in victory... my bowels made a sound so demonic, the boys almost didn't let me back in the car. I really wanted to like this place, because its the Asian buffet in town. The prices have gone up since the last Yelp review, I have updated them in the picture. Other reviews also mentioned crab legs. I went on a Saturday night, and there were no crab legs. The only 'steak' available was strips of sliced beef you could get in the hibachi, which I do not consider to be steak. As far as the sushi, which I was looking forward to, they had a whopping two varieties to choose from on a busy Saturday night. It was actually the same roll but one had extra fake crab mayo topping on the top. No raw rolls were available. Still, I did try a wide variety of the food. Honestly, the hibachi was the only thing that tasted even remotely close to 'good'. It still wasn't good, but at least tasted fresh. Updating my review because I went for Dinner the second time.( First time was lunch) and I will say it was by far better. The food in general just tasted better. There is also a few things they have at dinner that they do not have at lunch. Probably my most favorite is that they have already prepared steaks. They serve them at the hibachi grill. They are already cooked, and the guy working the hibachi station will just heat them up for you. It's a fairly decent size steak too..about a 6oz portion. I got two of them. I am on a low carb diet so I was happy they had steaks included with the dinner buffet. There was also a good amount of things I found on the buffet that allowed me to stay true to my diet. As my previous review stated, the waiters were all attentive and made sure my drink stayed full. Everything looked extremely fresh from the hot buffet items to the cold ones like the fruits/deserts. Once again the items on the raw hibachi station looked well maintained, fresh, chilled. Still the best hibachi I have seen at a Chinese buffet. I am a frequent flyer to Chinese buffets. I have been to all of them in Rochester and this is by far the best one. Beating out my previous favorite for the last 15+ years now, the original "China buffet". Other Chinese buffets take notice! I stopped in for dinner tonight at around 630 on a Saturday and the place was fairly busy but not overcrowded. It's $13.99 per person on Friday and Saturday nights for dinner, which is a pretty good deal considering that's about the price of an entree at equivalent restaurants. First off, of course you're not going to get five-star quality authentic food here. I felt it was basically your standard Chinese restaurant type fare (sweet and sour chicken, lo mein, fried rice, etc), but a TON of it. They also have sushi and a hibachi station, plus a whole huge table of desserts (and ice cream). Lots of seafood, too, though I didn't try that because I don't eat it. My mom had some of the seafood dishes though and said they were very good. I tried a little bit of everything, and the fried rice and honey chicken stood out the most. Both were really good and flavorful. I also enjoyed the Chinese donuts -- little puffs of fried dough with sugar that are absolutely delicious! I tried two pieces of sushi and it wasn't my favorite. It wasn't horrible, but it didn't taste the most fresh. The staff is really friendly and it looks like they do a great job of keeping all of the dishes stocked. I also had my soda refilled while I was getting a second plate without having to ask. We have been here a few times in the past and, in my opinion, they are staying consistent. As far as Greece area Chinese buffets, I think this place is the top. Overall, fairly clean with very friendly staff and a large seating area. I would say that the most notable aspects of this place are the very large dessert selection (simple options like cookies, ice cream, and little squares of cake) and large variety of meat and seafood dishes. For example, today I tried a Hong Kong style of cut beef. Actually quite good! I also tried some kind of spicy chicken that was very good and they regularly have large bbq ribs. I also really enjoy their fresh mixed vegetables, hibachi fried rice, veggie sushi rolls, crispy fried cream cheese wontons, and lemon pepper fried chicken wings. What keeps me from giving five-stars is that some of my favorite dishes are not well done: the egg rolls are mushy, the lo mein noodles are thin and lacking in flavor, and the fried sugar donuts are not very sugary and overly fried. We were happy to have stumbled upon Asian Buffet. There is PLENTY of food here, lots and lots of steam trays of differing items, some way over-sauced, some sitting in oil, but most was flavorful, and frequently re-filled. The cut up fruit was especially good. Used dishes were removed and water glasses refreshed quickly.The only negatives, aside from the oiliness and sauciness, was that the sushi chef was particularly unfriendly. Better than expected quality! After being to many Asian buffets like this in the past, I was a bit unsure. My mother and I came for an early dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the decor and food! They have all your Chinese staples as well as some seafood, Japanese, and Korean, and deep fried American food items. They were all hot and pretty tasty. The staff was attentive but didn't hover over us which we both enjoyed. I hope it stays as nice as it is now and we will be back again in the future. read more

The staff were overall pleasant and helpful. The host was overly energetic, but the servers bringing out drinks and clearing plates were polite and attentive. But otherwise, I was not impressed with my experience, and I think there is a lot that could be improved upon. 1. The other patrons made for a rather unpleasant experience. From children nearly pouring their soup on you because they haven't learned manners, to the food hogs taking excessive portions, the experience was just not worth it. 2. The food was not stellar. There were a few items I enjoyed (the mushrooms, the hot and sour soup). Otherwise, the selection had a variety of flaws. Some dishes were not well stocked. Some were cold. Some were dried out. Part of this also depends on the clientele who take excessive portion sizes not leaving any for the rest of us. 3. General disorganization. The staff were kind, but I also felt that there is a pervasive sense of disorder. People bumping into each other, traffic jams. This place is actually pretty good! Many of the Chinese classics are here and they also have fun items like steamed crawfish. On Friday and Saturday nights they add crab legs to the mix. The sushi rolls were better than some al a carte restaurants I've been to. They have a "Mongolian Grill" that I didn't try. This is a good place to get in and out of quickly. We were sat immediately, and got drinks really fast and then we were free to go up to the buffet. The food was average - I'm not too big of an Asian food fan, but there was definitely something for everyone. They have pizza, fries, wings, onion rings, assorted chickens. My husband rated the sushi a 6 out of 10. The beef dumplings were average, I had those as well. The atmosphere is okay, just really loud in the open area. There were french fries and pizza, which I never really appreciated at an Asian buffet to begin with, but a very limited selection of Asian items in my opinion. There wasn't even white rice! The ratio of desserts to main food items seemed to be 50/50, which I felt was an unnecessary amount of desserts. Dessert items included bananas smothered with red jello and unpackaged Swiss Rolls. The atmosphere was depressing, and there were tons of empty tables packed into the room making it look like a cafeteria. I went here the day they opened and then came back several times within the first two weeks because the quality was really good and they had a very diverse selection of foods. Then on my 5th visit they were serving a squid dish, and frog legs. I had had allot of squid before, calamari, squid salad, squid sushi, Korean bbq squid, dried squid etc. I had never had frog legs though and always wanted to try them, so I grabbed a few of them and some squid on my second trip to the buffet. Within a few minutes of eating them I started to get sweaty and after about 15 minutes I my stomach felt very off and I was full so I payed and left. When I got to my car I vomited on the ground and started sweating profusely and got very dizzy while I was driving and almost had to pull to the shoulder of the road. By the time I got home I had bad stomach pains soon followed by uncontrollable diarrhea. I had horrible intestinal problems for 3 days and had to call in to work. This place is a joke! It's my first time here & my last. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. On Sunday 4/8/18 at around 8:40pm, after I had eaten here, paid & was heading out, one of the waitresses & the lady sitting at the front register literally ran after me, rushed and startled me at the exit way talking about "you didn't pay!" Meanwhile, I had already paid, my card was swiped & the signed merchant copy was sitting on the table on those mini trays they use to bring the checks! She had not checked but was fast to run after me yelling when I was leaving! I was so pissed off to be embarrassed that way when the mistake was there's . & I was already soo tired because I was coming from work. I asked her did you check the table? So she goes back to check while the front lady stands & watches me...seriously. She goes back & lo behold, she realizes she was mistaken. To add salt to injury, she (the waitress) comes back laughing, "I'm sorry, yes you did pay, yes you did!" I understand mistakes happen but you CAN'T make such silly mistakes when it comes to paying, or people's money & in such shameful public display because there were some customers who saw that. The tangible proof that I had was that I used my card...Imagine if I had used cash to pay....they could have easily said, I didn't pay. I did not like that at all. I've never ever been to a restaurant that made such egregious error. I was speechless. It not only comes across as a lack of communication amongst their staff members but also comes across as stereotypical & (or) fraudulent, if they want to double charge.
