Hidden at the end of the Galerie Louise, up a flight of stairs is the Asia Louise. The service is sincere and attentive, and the food, delicate and delicious.
We started with mixed appetisers, crab & asparagus soup + the house soup, and rounded off with the fish amok. The crab soup was especially nice, with real crab, not imitation. Writing about it makes my mouth water. Yum!
The best part came at the end, when we asked the owner about the tangle of roots submerged in a large Johnny Walker Red bottle. The owner explained that it was a blend of special Cambodian roots submerged and preserved by an alcohol, a recipe handed down from father to son. Unlike other Asian drinks I've had in this vein (with ginseng, mugwort, etc.), this medicinal drink is especially good for women. Ladies, don't miss out!
