After four days of trying to eat mostly vegetarian in Netherlands and Belgium (ie. lots of carbs and cheese), my parents and I couldn't take it anymore and decided to eat some Asian food at the most random place to find it! The owner was really nice, he ended up translating most of the menu for us since they don't even have an English menu (not much of a touristic city). We ordered a papaya salad, pad Thai with tofu, and tofu vegetable red curry. My favorite dish BY FAR was the curry! It was super authentic and delicious. Their tofu was on par with tofu I have in the states (was worried about where they would even get tofu in a city without an Asian supermarket). However the pad Thai and the papaya salad were both way too salty. Flavor was good but the salt really overpowered the food. We ended up asking for extra bean sprouts to eat with the dishes to tone down the salt. The pad Thai also tasted more "Chinese" due to the sauce, perhaps it was more soy than the other usual sweet sauce that is used. Either way, we did really enjoy our food and it was delicious after eating so much cheese this week. Would recommend coming here for a break from Belgian food, but ask for less salt.
