Our group of about 30 enjoyed our dinner at Indus Pride. The front dining area was cordoned off for us.
Wide menu selection--something for everyone, vegetarian and non-vegetarian alike. Full liquor license. Even had Jack Daniels bourbon for some of us Americans :)
Modern and inviting décor with Indian cultural accents.
Papadum appetizer upon seating, and we ordered Naan Breads with our meal.
My gripe is something we should have foreseen: 30 people in our group plus the evening's regular diners overwhelmed the kitchen's ability to serve us, dinner had to be served in batches over 1+ hours, and few items took much longer than one hour to serve.
Service was friendly but was overwhelmed by our group. Good value overall. Prices are all-inclusive of VAT and service charge. Street parking is free with something called a "Parking Disc." Closest train station is Rodebeek.
We were staying nearby at the Crowne Plaza airport hotel, about 6km away.
Owners operate several restaurants in area, but would not call Indus Pride a chain.
Would recommend, and would like to return with normal-size dinner party. read more
