I came to Ash's Lash Extensions because her prices are very reasonable/affordable, and because she has flawless Yelp reviews. Sad to say that I did not have the same wonderful results as everyone else. It is also with much regret that I write this review because Ash is such a sweet and nice person. But the quality of her work is really subpar and my results are really terrible. Ash provides excellent customer service as she repeatedly says that she will make sure her customers are satisfied, and she seemed very sincere when she said that. She was willing to work long hours to accommodate her customers. I was able to communicate with her perfectly well and she answered all of my questions and concerns. The other place I've gone to, the lady didn't explain things nearly as well, and that's due to a language barrier. I found the quality of Ash's work to be pretty bad - see for yourself. The first lash extensions place I went to charged an arm and a leg (see my other review), but in comparison, that lady's work was top notch. And now I know because Ash was the second lash extension place I went to, and Ash is much cheaper ($75 cheaper for a full set, in the same neighborhood). A couple of the lash extensions she glued on on the outer corner of my right eye was not attached at the root; they were attached a few millimeters away from the root, and gives the appearance that they've "slipped." This "sag" bothered my eye as I blinked right after the procedure, but then they lifted up (maybe due to brushing?) and no longer bothered my eye. Nevertheless, my lashes are pretty ugly. Ash had offered to fix it, but I didn't want to go in, take those extensions off, then put them back on, because I thought it would be too much on my real lashes. As well, I had expected them to be done right the first time. Ash also takes a longer time to do the work than the other lady I had visited prior. The amount of time for the other lady to do a full removal and full set was probably faster than the amount of time it took Ash to just apply the full set. As well, after less than a week of getting the extensions, my lashes are already looking very sloppy. This is equivalent to probably week 2.5 at the other place I went to. A couple have fallen out already (not with the real lash attached), and the shape/curl of the extension just looks really messy. Overall, I found workmanship to be pretty bad and would not recommend her. Pay more and go elsewhere. read more

Disappointed is an understatement. Although Ashley is very nice, her service was very disappointing. I scheduled an appointment with her a month in advance via phone and explained to her that I was getting lash extensions for my engagement photos and she was very confident she would be able deliver the full look I was going for. I ended up canceling my appointment at another salon because I thought Ashley would be able to deliver. The day before my appointment, Ashley called me asking if I could come 2 hours earlier because she had a friend in town. When I arrived the next day at the time Ashley asked me to show up, Ashely was nowhere and her door was locked. I called her and she said she was parking. But then showed up to 20 minutes late. She started off the appointment by saying she was going to charge me for a Fill instead of a full eye lash extension service. Then she spent MAYBE 10 minutes on my first eye then probably less than 15 minutes on my other eye. Before she finished on my second eye, she said she wasn't going to charge me at all due to the inconvenience of showing up late and asking me to come 2 hours earlier. When she finished I was extremely disappointed. She did not attach an extension to all of my natural lashes. There were so many gaps and it hardly looked like I had any lash extensions at all. The time she spent on my eyes definitely showed because it looked like she glued on maybe 10 lashes. The attached photo was taken right after my appointment. Her service was terrible and I ended up having to glue on false lashes for my engagement photos because it was too late to go anywhere else. I picked Ashley because she was cheaper than other places in the area. If I had known she wouldn't be able to deliver then I would of been happier to go somewhere else. Also, before I left she asked me to not give her a bad Yelp review. But I'm hoping my review will save someone's time and money. I recently moved to The City and was struggling to find an affordable lash extension esthetician. After searching far and wide I was coming to find I might have to either give up the lashes I loved or be a homeless lady with rockin' eyes. Thankfully, my roomie came across Ash's Lashes. I had the recent experience of visiting Ashley for a makeup consult, facial, and peel. I saw results from the peel immediately afterwards, my pores were smaller, my skin appeared smoother. I experienced no blistering or irritation. The skin care products and makeup she used and recommended to me were spot on. I told her I wanted a natural look, tinted sunscreen that felt light on my skin, mascara, blush, gloss, and she hand-picked products that were perfect for my coloring, skin type, and style. I read the one star review from Jennifer W., and I find it hard to believe that she had all the problems she lists if she followed Ashley's guidelines for lash extension care. Ashley's application technique is meticulous and she uses her incredible artistic ability to design the fullest, most natural-looking lashes you can have at the most reasonable price! There are no big, clumpy glue lines at the base of the lashes but this means that you have to take extra care to not get the lashes wet. Also, if you sleep with your face mashed into the pillow you will abrade the lashes and they will fall out faster. If you have very oily skin on your eyelids, use an oil-based makeup remover or eye cream near your lash base, the glue will weaken faster. I have Asian eyes and am extremely pleased with both Ashley's designs and the durability of her application. With a little care I'm able to schedule fills once a month and after following her advice about my natural lash care, my own lashes are much longer and fuller than when I started!
