If I could give negative stars I would. I have had MULTIPLE problems with an order I placed. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE & RUDE MANAGER GEORGE. First of all, I applied for the financing and selected ONE of the credit cards. However, found out by running my credit report that Ashley opened lines of credit with both card offerings in my name. Secondly, they provided the wrong contact info for me to the card company so I missed out on two months of the no interest payments because I wasn't receiving bill statements. I called LAST YEAR to fix this. It took me multiple tries of sitting on hold for over 30 minutes, being told to call different numbers, calls randomly disconnecting - I spent hours trying to get these two things resolved. Finally was told I would get a call back. I did and they said they would fix everything and my no interest months I missed because of the store's mistake would be credited back to me. Lo and behold, a YEAR later, I'm now realizing Ashley took no action in resolving this. I still have two lines of credit in my name and my interest free period was not extended. I called the store and spoke with George (the "Chicagoland Manager") explaining my issue. He was immediately condescending and rude even thought I was trying to calmly explain the problem I was having. He in no way whatsoever wanted for Ashley to make any moves towards making this right and proceeded to tell me multiple times this was all my fault and had an attitude. I'm not sure who trained these people in customer service but I felt disrespected and so frustrated with the situation. He repeatedly cut me off, told me what I was saying wasn't true or possible, told me the situation was my fault and basically just wanted to get me off the line. I told him I wasn't trying to be difficult, I'm 28 and don't have endless amounts of money to pay to them because of their mistakes and his indifference and apathetic attitude made it very clear to me that Ashley Furniture does not prioritize customer service. I have never had such bad service in my life. I ordered a new bedroom set with a mattress on May 8, 2020. Since, I ended up with a queen bed frame, I needed a king, no mattress and no one available to talk to. I have been charged for everything and of course when you call the store or the sales department, no one can help because I ordered on line. So call the on line customer service number, good luck! I have called every day for over 3 weeks now and no one answers. You leave a message and they say they will call you back in 48 to 96 hours. That is a lie, I have not heard back from anyone. I would like to give them "zero" star if I can. My first and last time buying from Ashley furniture. Very low quality on the items and customer services as well. I purchased a bedroom set on February 14, 2020 They scheduled me for delivery on February 25th. The Set came on that day but the headboard and chest was broken. They took it back. Rescheduled me for the next week. Next week they sent me only rail for the bed. I called the customer service and the lady yelled at me on the phone. !!!! The next day I need to call them and reschedule what ever I need because no one in keep in touch with me. Again, we schedule for the next week, and they only brought a chest which one of the door is rubbing. We called customer service again and they told me that i need to reschedule for the technician. He needs to come and see and if something he can fix it otherwise they will take it back and reschedule me for the next delivery which is March 10th. Oh my goodness, I can't express how happy I am with this Ashley home store. I can't express how great of an experience I have had with Kay merris. Kay has helped me get such a great discount on a new table. I have had the same table for 12 years and I have been looking for a good table. I came to this store first and on the first day and store I found the table. I just finished paying it and I am so excited to have it in my house. Worst place ever to buy furniture. We placed a big order to furnish an entire home. They said 3 months ago everything we picked out was in stock. We called 2 weeks before we were ready for furniture and they confirmed delivery. We got no notification the day before about delivery. We called and our entire order was pushed back months. We were never notified. Manager refused to come out and talk to us. We canceled a huge order. Customer service was terrible and we were lied to. Stay away!! read more

Seriously, run, don't walk away from this store. I'm a patient person, I understand things don't always go as planned. That being said, in the beginning of July I ordered a kitchen table and chairs from this location. I was told that both would be available for delivery at the end of July. After having to actually go into the store because nobody works their customer service phones, I set a date for my table to get delivered but was told the chair was on back order until September. The table came, it was the wrong table, it was promptly exchanged for the right one. No big deal. In September, I reached out to make a delivery date for my chair. I was told it's delayed until October. Okay, one more month, it's fine. I reached out in October, told it was delayed until November and would be in then. I reached out today, October 16th, and was told it's on delay until December. See the trend here? Needless to say, I'm pretty positive I will never be seeing my chair. I will be cancelling my order and ordering from a different company. The only saving grace of this experience has been the associate Johannah. I had my furniture delivered here a year ago, they delivered a broken furniture piece. BUT not only that! And when I mentioned this to the manager I got "maybe they unwrapped it before they arrived" ? Maybe? Really? The broken furniture piece I had requested to get it replaced. I waited 2 weeks for my delivery to find out the idiot ordered the wrong couch which then delayed it by ANOTHER 2 WEEKS! The manager at the time was a so rude, unprofessional and clearly didn't care how upset I was. It took forever for someone to give me a corporate number too. you can call corporate, email customer care and no one will do shit for you. When delivery was actually scheduled we were given a choice of a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. We chose a Wednesday but when I called to check time of delivery I was told we were not scheduled until Friday. I would never buy or suggest purchasing anything from Ashley Furniture! We are going on 6 months of biweekly deliveries of replacement furniture that comes damaged, poor craftsmanship, missing pieces, etc. Nobody seems to care. If I reject one piece, all three have to be returned, which is crazy! We are now on a first name basis with the delivery guys. They even tell me that the pieces are loaded on the truck damaged and told to just take them! Supervisors have promised us to inspect the furniture before being delivered and it's not! I am currently paying on furniture that I'm not keeping due to warped top, doors misaligned that cannot be fixed because they've already tried prior to us getting it! We can't seem to get through to anyone in a higher position than the people in scheduling, the store manager, Savannah, in Schaumburg is useless, it's been the WORST experience ever! I bought a bedroom set worth over $1700 from the Schaumburg, Il location in early June. A partial delivery was received about a month later, but only because I sat on hold on several occasions just to get a delivery date. My bed didn't arrive with that delivery, but I was told August 22. A few days before the bed was to be delivered I found out the new delivery date has changed to Sept. 23. My old bed was donated when I originally thought I was receiving it, so I am now sleeping on a mattress on the floor. The store had no problems cashing my payment within 24 hours of my purchase, but they can't seem to deliver my product. Good luck trying to get a hold of this store because you will sit on hold no less than 30 minutes each call. If it wasn't for the crazy cancellation fee for a purchase that wasn't even shipped I would have cancelled my order. DO NOT SHOP HERE! The sales people are nice and helpful, but the quality of the products, not so much. We got a bed and nightstand for my son which was delayed for many months (I know this was happening everywhere) once it was finally delivered, it was still short parts. We received the parts and set up another appointment to have it assembled. Low and behold, when the man came to put it together, the parts sent were not the right parts, fortunately he had the parts. After he was done putting it together he and my husband noticed the one drawer was warped and would not close all the way on one side, the headboard also has a spot that is offset, it too is warped. We went to the store, told the manager, he assured us he would open up an issue so that it would get fixed. this was in October, we have never heard anything. The bank sent the bill and we contacted them and told them we were not paying until this got fixed. The bank then opened and dispute and said we did not have to pay until it was resolved. We received a bill again this month and we just called and we're told that Ashley closed the dispute. They have never contacted us, and have never done anything to make this right. When you buy brand new furniture, you expect it to be right. They obviously do not care about quality, just want to make sales. read more

I was happy with my purchase until my couch frame cracked 13 months after purchase. I have no children and it's in a room that's not commonly used. so we called the warranty company and they do cover the frame but I have to pay 65 dollars plus tax for someone to just come out and look at the piece. if it can be fixed than it's 130 dollars an hour to fix. that to me is absolutely absurd.....but I need it fixed. than after I go into the store to pay the 65 dollars PLUS TAX I cannot get ahold of anyone to set up a date to come and look at the piece of furniture. I keep calling they keep telling me I'll get a call tomorrow....I go into the store and they don't handle these issues it's corporate evidentially....try to even call the store and there is. no answer ever. Boy they were quick to take my money and now is a total no show for the repair. If I could give negative stars I would. This place has been an absolute joke from the second our order was placed. I ordered a King bedroom set (called Isanti) in October of 2021. It is currently January 2023 and we STILL do not have the entire set. We were told upon placing the order that we would receive our items in February 2022 which was 4 months out as this set was backordered. At the time, we were okay with that since covid caused production delays which we understood. Come February, they said the items were not scheduled to arrive until April and that was only after I had to contact Ashely HS because we hadn't heard anything about delivery. April turned into June, which turned into July, which turned into September - nearly AN ENTIRE YEAR from placing the order. Half of our items arrived in October 2022, one year later, and we had the option to have the partial delivery or wait for the whole thing. My biggest mistake was taking the partial delivery because I wanted the furniture we had been waiting on. And what item hadn't arrived? The bed. The most important part of a BEDroom set. So, they said it would be another 3 weeks to have the bed but it was on it's way. So, I agreed, and began making the payments. Here we sit, 3 months later, and they pushed back the delivery date again to March 2023 for the bed which makes it 17 months since the order was placed that we still do not have the bed. The customer service team has been the absolute worst to deal with as no one has an answer for why, there is no information available to them about the manufacturer and all they do is say sorry and blame production delays. We regret ever walking into this store. And the best part? This bedroom set is still on display at the store and taking orders!! It's a beautiful set but do not waste your time unless you are willing to wait a few years for it. read more

Schaumburg Store and Customer Service Horrible!!! Will never buy from Ashley again!!! I bought 4,000 of furniture, at the Ashley store in Schaumburg. A desk chair, costing nearly 500 dollars, was among the items. The chair was delivered unusable. It does not recline. I went to customer service at the store and they were Zero help. And with attitude on top of that. Though I bought the chair only three days before, the store customer service person curtly said, "you have to deal with corporate", scratched a number on a torn piece of paper and shoved it at me. I called corporate, and they said the parts would be in within 7-10 business days, after which time a technician would come out and fix it. I called after 10 business days and customer service said that the parts would not be in for at least another 3 weeks. I called after another 3 weeks and they said the parts were not in. I asked when they would be in. He basically did not know and just seemed to casually pick out a number of "about another 3-4 weeks". It has now been two months of this ludicrous runaround. It is obvious corporate customer service has no clue, that customer service in the store is completely unless and rude (and one wonders why it is even there since they simply refer you to corporate), and ultimately corporate customer service is utterly indifferent to any accurate forecast of delivery or interested in any sense of customer accommodation. Furthermore, the fact that one must go through this phony and protracted nonsense of fixing the chair, encompassing an awaiting of parts, and then an awaiting of technicians for who knows how long, to get to the point of them actually fixing the chair, assuming they even can is a complete sham. Any honorable business would simply replaced the chair promptly. They have plenty of such chairs in inventory as they are listed for sale at numerous other places. I am basically just giving up on them. I will NEVER buy another thing at Ashley. Their customer service people should be eliminated as superfluous, inept do nothings and know nothings, and consumers should look elsewhere, to a place of integrity for purchasing their furniture. read more

The so called insurance plan they sold us asked for my credit card number to verify my purchase. When presented with this information the store manager basically said that was not our extended warranty flyer and then presented me with a copy of a copy of a copy of a warranty they sell. Sales and furniture offered good options however customer service is abysmal. Our furniture delivery was delayed and we were given the run around. First, we were told that our furniture couldn't fit on the truck. When I shared that we both took the day off for delivery, the agent contacted the warehouse manager and gave me a confirmation number for delivery on the first secured date. When I looked into it further and after waiting on hold with "customer care" and being disconnected twice (over 90 minutes of our time) we were connected with an agent that said our order wasn't in and would be delivered in 3 days. Somehow, that call was disconnected again with no answers. Any possible opportunity to talk with a person, including their chat, is ended or disconnected. I've never experienced worse customer service. If we do not receive our furniture on the new designated date we will be returning the entire purchase. Do Not Recommend!!!!! My name is Angelina Ivanova and I made a purchase on 11/25/2022.The order included 1 king mattress, 1 queen mattress, 1 king powerbase, 4 storm pillows, 1 mattress protector, king sheets and queen sheets. Before the sale was completed the sale representative Taylor Bison and the store manager Neil Andree were assuring us that we can have even next day delivery because all items were in the warehouse. We asked to schedule the following week because our remodeling was going to be done on the 11/30/2022. Since then, the scheduling department has changed the delivery dates three times with last minute cancellations. Today, 12/23/2022 (one month later) we were supposed to get the order delivered but it got cancelled again in the morning. I have been trying to contact the scheduling department all day today and was placed on a 40 minutes hold several times. The representative told me that they cannot cancel my order because they need permission from a supervisor but there is no supervisor available.  It is impossible to speak to a supervisor or manager and they keep transferring you to people that have no idea what to do. I called the store where we purchased the items and spoke to Savannah Stevens (store office manager) to explain the whole citation. She was not even attentive to help and said that she will cancel the order. I asked her what is going to happen to the pillows and mattress cover which I am not going to need because the order is canceled and she said to read the fine print because Ashley does not have a return policy. The items are unopened and in their original packaging. I was trying to tell her that I would keep the pillows but do not want the $399.99 mattress cover and the sheets. They make you buy the mattress cover in order to have a warranty.  Another sales manager decides to join the conversation with Marcie Sanchez and to show us the door and tells us that she has no business with us. Both women were extremely rude and unprofessional. The customer service is horrible and I will not return ever again.  I have never felt more disrespected and humiliated in my life. It Is not professional and I have rights as a consumer. The reviews online are very negative and I don't understand why no one takes responsibility and acts. I am starting to believe that Ashley in Schaumburg IL does not need our business. My next step will be posting a google, yelp and social media reviews and sharing my horrible experience. I'm just gonna go ahead and state that this store blows! We walked in looking for one particular piece of furniture, a small bar for my hubby's new man cave, and were pretty quickly greeted by a man that I'm pretty sure was in automotive sales in his earlier days. He was polite but not helpful in the least. He asked if he could help us, I, of course, explained what we were hunting for that day. He looked at me with the "who farted?" face trying to think if they have any bar cabinets like I described. We then followed him around the store looking for a bar cabinet. Which *I* eventually found in the back of the store. The color was not right so I asked if it came in any other colors to which he replied that he could find out. In addition, the display unit did not function correctly. The door wouldn't close. He actually had to slam it shut and all I could envision was my Reidel wine glasses and Crate & Barrel beer glasses shattering when he had to slam the door to make it close. Ummm...if the display doesn't work properly, what makes you think I'm going to buy one?? Unit was priced at approximately $550 or $600 that he could offer to us for $410+tax. Sorry dude, that doesn't work for me. I don't understand and I really don't care but why is it that I have to ask someone how much something is instead of looking at the tag on the display? Do I need to shop with someone from your sales staff? I really would rather shop with my husband, thank you. After about 20 minutes of my life that I will never get back, and this gentleman trying to convince us to use some various entertainment centers in place of a bar cabinet because he thinks we "could make it work", we were out. I now have grown up furniture!! No more light pink sofa (ok it's for sale... any takers??), no more cheap dining room table, and most importantly, no more teeny tiny bed! We came to Ashley Furniture to dominate two weeks ago, and we were successful. It's a furniture store so the moment we walked in we were greeted by a sales rep, Ozzie, who explained the sale, and then ::gasp!:: let us shop around by ourselves! Ozzie was GREAT. He answered all our questions, totally backed off when we needed to look or talk, and most importantly, did not degrade lower priced pieces when we were looking to save a few hundred here or there. He also had the patience to wait on us for three hours. Oops. Ashley has a lot of everything to choose from, but aside from the stuffy old people section, I didn't think they really branch out from their comfort zone of traditional furniture. If a zebra-printed winged chair is your style, you probably won't find it here. Leather sofas and cloth chairs in modest colors, more than you can imagine. We also had a good time in the "mattress room" (not like that, you pervs!) but it's a bit secluded so we didn't feel awkward testing out the different mattresses. They had a nice selection and we found a perfect king size bed that was soft for me but firm for him! In the end we left very happy with a new bed, two leather sofas, a grown-up dining room table that seats six and a fantastic rug that was on sale for $99! Really fantastic selection for couples just starting to furnish a place together, or for replacing pieces here and there. My wife dragged me with her to furniture shop, (not one of my favorite things to do). The reason I don't like to furniture shop is because when you walk into most furniture stores, the salespeople are on you like a hawk on prey. (Not at Ashely Furniture.) Kay, our salesperson, was welcoming and friendly. She was also very knowledgeable and helpful. And more importantly, we feel we got a great deal on our purchase. The delivery people were on time, thoughtful and courteous. If you are furniture shopping, make sure you go to Ashely Furniture and ask for Kay!!!! If I could I would give 0 stars...so frustrated with this store. The initial sale was smooth. BUT THEN...It was supposed to take over 3 weeks for delivery, not thrilled but ok. Then a few days before anticipated delivery they called and pushed it back 2 more weeks. Really not happy...NOW they called and added on another week PLUS the guy said they didn't even guarantee it would be ready by then. Beyond unhappy. I paid in full immediately upon the sale, do you think I can get my money back in full immediately upon cancellation NO. I ventured back into an Ashley after a bad experience 10 years ago, I will NEVER NEVER NEVER make that mistake again! Save yourself the aggrivation and don't even go in, there are far too many options to be strung along by this company. read more
