After last review, I was finally able to meet with George, the store manager at the schaumburg location. After emails and phone calls back and forth, it was apparent that George was doing all he could to provide the best results for the situation. All items were delivered as promised and I know he had to 'pull some strings' to make it happen and I'm glad he did. I was gung-ho about NEVER purchasing from Ashley's again, but George saved that. I'd consider shopping there again in the future. The delivery guys showed up on the day and time expected with ALL pieces of furniture. They were quick, efficient and respectful. 99% of the pieces were in perfect condition and I love my new living room. I probably would've given 4 starts, but one of the floor lamps was broken and the glass shade was in pieces. In case any potential future customers read this, part of Ashley's process is that the delivery guys don't open any accessory boxes upon delivery, furniture only. So if there's a problem with a say lamp, mirror, carpet or wall art, you won't know until you open and go to assemble it after they have already left. I emailed about the broken piece and didn't receive a response. Basically I was so over going back and forth to the store and possibly catching the manager their to say I've got another issue. I just wrote the $85 piece off and tossed it since there was no fixing it. Anyway, the store and corporate did end up giving me a discount for all the troubles, so in the end I guess we can say it all worked out. I DO NOT RECOMMEND working with this company in any way, shape, or form. This easily has been one of the worst and most unprofessional consumer experiences I have ever had. Multiple sub-par customer service experiences regarding the same transaction. Please keep in mind that the below are facts, no opinions or bias included. To list a few (unfortunately not all) or my experiences while buying a couch with Ashley Furniture. 1) I bought a couch at the beginning of November. The furniture wasn't delivered until the end of January! 2) In-store sales rep told me he was, "too busy for [me]". 3) Manager said he would scheduled delivery for January 9. When I called to confirm, I was told there was no record at all of a delivery for me. 4) When I called for customer service because I needed help getting the situation under control, I got passed around from representative to representative. 5) When I received a delivery, I RECEIVED HALF OF MY COUCH 2 months after I purchased it! 6) No one bothered to call me to let me know they were delivering the last half of my couch! Ordered $3,000 in furniture and they failed to tell me that it would take 10 to 12 weeks for it to get delivered. I had an empty house for the first three weeks of living in my new house until I decided to drive to the Kenosha Ashley where I was able to take furniture home that day. I used a gift card at the schaumburg location that I had for $100 and when I asked them to cancel my order and refund me they said that they would mail me the gift card back instead of giving it that day to me. BAD BAD place. I have been repeatedly lied to. I have a broken reclining loveseat that broken the 2nd day I had it. I reported it and no one from service ever called back. After 5 days I called them again. Gave me today as delivery and they never showed or called. Now they moved me until next week, almost a month by then of waiting. I wish I could give them 0 stars. Let me first start off with how bad my experience was with them that started back in the end of 2019. I purchased an accent cabinet from them and I believe it was 3 times (all times) it was delivered it was damaged. The 2nd time the drivers did a no call no show. The 3rd time they delivered and dropped it off it was damaged again but I didn't see it until they had left which I called immediately. Ashley customer service tried to send me the part to fix it and it was the wrong piece. Then they told me that piece couldn't be repaired because they didn't have that piece available. So when I contacted the store and spoke with local customer service at this store, the very nice woman I spoke with said when I found something I liked to call her and we would have it exchanged because she couldn't get me anything delivered before I was going out of town for a few months. Well Covid hit and they let go of everyone at the store. So when I was ready to purchase other items no one answered the phones. I tried to contact customer service (not at local store) and they said they couldn't help me and that I needed to go to that specific store. Now at the end of 2019 I moved an hour away which wasn't very convenient. But when I went in the store no one couldn't help me because a manager was not there. I was told to come back when the manager was supposed to be there. Well I came and he wasn't there. So when speaking to salespersons they told me to leave my name and contact info on a piece of paper so the manager could contact me. Well guess what? Never got a phone call. So my husband and I were out that way so we stopped in. By some miracle the manager was there and when I called him out on not calling me back he apologized. This had been weeks later. So finally speaking with the manager he was able to do the exchange on 6/19/21. Well that order was supposed to be delivered on 9/21/21. Well 9/21/21 came and there was no call/communication. So I called Ashley 800 customer service and the automated system stated they didn't have an ETA to when our items would be delivered. So we assumed this was at the time that all the ships were stuck at sea that this is what was creating the delay so we patiently waited for them to call us. Well we found out that they cancelled our order in 2/2022 because "they couldn't get in contact with me". Which this was complete inaccurate information because no one even attempted to contact me. I've had an Ashley card with this company for a long time and done a lot of business with them in the past but since Covid hit this company has turned out to be the worst company and I will NEVER give them a dime more of my money. The communication is terrible. And when I spoke with a supervisor when I contacted 866-787-7930, she told me she couldn't complete the exchange again because it had been 3 years. But how is that my problem? The delay for this long was on them and their poor communication and customer service. Il going to the BBB on this one. Honestly, we were so excited for our new furniture - bought our master bedroom set, dining room set and sofa. They gave us a tentative delivery date and then confirmed a date with the delivery window. Never were we told our order would deliver incomplete. Once they came to deliver, we found out the headboard, chest and server were backordered...had to find out from the delivery guy. They couldn't put our bed together since the headboard wasn't there and we had already gotten rid of our previous bed so we had no where to sleep. Then we got 0 communication going forward. I had to call myself multiple times, put on hold, got hung up on twice and then was told the rest of the furniture would deliver Sept 18th...cut to Sept 18th, nothing. I had to call, yet again, myself to find out 2 pieces are still backordered and that the headboard could be delivered next week...where was the update on this?! Worst customer service and I would NOT recommend EVER buying furniture from them. Unless you want to wait 4 months with NO communication and then have them tell you there is nothing they can do to reimburse you...you spend thousands of dollars on furniture to not get any info on when it will even come. At this point, I am not even confident we'll get our furniture until the new year. WORST store ever and NEVER purchasing from them again. If I could give this 0 stars, I would. We bought a bedroom set and couch in December. The items did not arrive until February, which is fine. When our order arrived, we had to sign a waiver for our couch, also fine. Our dresser however was sticking when we tried to close the top drawer. We removed the drawer and the inside was literally in pieces. We called to see if someone could repair it, we're told someone would call to schedule an appointment. No one did. They closed the ticket and when we called to follow up, they refused to reopen the ticket bc we signed a waiver for the couch. My husband and I went there and got the worst customer service. The salesperson rushed thru our needs and wants and basically said "available online and not at this store". I asked him what store the model is available at and he said "go online or call customer service". We tracked down another associate to help us, and he took time to find a store half an hour away that had the item we wanted. Then, the slimy other sales guy had the audacity to interrupt - and asked our new sales guy to assist him with his sale. The slimy guy even said "wow, you guys are still here". I wanted to buy 4 pieces of artwork- but I walked away. I didnt want to contribute a penny to a store that has such disrespectful and rude employees. Worst experience in a LONG time. Yesterday I spent about 8 hours roving Schaumburg for a new sectional. We stopped into Ashley and were greeted by a sales woman (name starts with a K) who asked my fiance and I were in college. She couldn't understand when we told her that the only couch that fit our aesthetic needs was too big. She couldn't fathom that not everyone lives in Schaumburg like her. Then, she asked us if we had a bed. (duh?!) I said we did and she asked if we had a memory foam one, because we should have one for our master or our guest room. She was twitching when she said that. We have a one bedroom condo. We had already told her that twice. She tried to drag us into the mattress area regardless of my protests. I got a little stern at that point. To top it off, she was asking questions, then mouthing my answers along with me. And she kept twitching. Seriously, I hate commissioned-based sales people. They scare me. Except for the ones at Carson's. They were nice and that's where these 'college students' spent $3k on a sectional. This advice would do Ashley sales people well: LISTEN to your customers. My wife and I wanted to replace our full sized college bed with an official grown-up queen. So we decided to look at Ashley and buy at Ikea. So we drove from Chicago to Schaumburg to look at Ashley's offerings and make our best buy at Ikea. Rob was the best. He gave us room to look around the whole store but was available to answer questions. We didn't see anytrhing that fit our needs in our price range so Rob listened to the charistics wre wanted and found a set the met our needs at the price we wanted to pay. Rob even helped make the deal affordable by skowing us a credit payment option that offered 0% interest for 5 years. He put it all together for us and didn't pressure us at all. We were more of a bother to him because I forgot our recipt at the store and he had a coppy mailed to us. The delivery guys did exactly what tRob sais they would do too and the set is the most comfortable one I've ever had. THANK'S ROB! I read some of the prior reviews and Rob wasn't pushy. I loved this store! Brian was an amazing associate. I wanted a new couch and have a somewhat small living room. He wrote down all the measurements for me of all the furniture in the set I liked. I came back a few days later and again received excellent help. I hate when people creep on me in the store, but everyone held back and I got a couple hellos and friendly smiles. Brian walked me thru the delivery process, explained the charges, and more important he remembered me and what pieces I liked. My salesperson, K, was quite pleasant and efficient when we went to purchase our sofa and loveseat. The communication I received stated that we would get an order status update each week via email. We received no such thing - only sales come-ons via email nearly daily. When, after 6 weeks, I called to inquire about the order status I waited 20 minutes before anyone answered and another 15 minutes while the person who finally answered said she was going to look up the order. I had sworn off this company years ago, but my daughter purchased a condo and I went into a store and made the poor decision to give it another try.  I purchased a table and a chair and a half on 7/3/20.  Was told they were in stock and could be delivered by mid July.  I requested the last week of July.  My daughter started receiving emails that listed delivery as late as 9/4. I called the customer service line and tried to reach the store repeatedly. WHY DOES NO ONE ANSWER THE PHONE???? It tells you to hold on and I have wasted HOURS on hold only to be disconnected or give up.  I finally went into the store on 7/31 and was told the customer service manager, George was at lunch and would be back in 30 mins.  I spoke to the sales manager, Crystal (?) who was also frustrated by angry customers who have to come in because NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE LINE.  Customer service manager did not return and I was told he absolutely would call me.  He has not.  The table: Received an email of delivery for this am. Great, I thought.  My daughter Facetimes me and the table is the WRONG FINISH.  It is the dark color wood and I ordered the lighter color.  Look up the item number - D594-42.  It is NOT dark expresso wood.  Therefore does not match her chairs.  Since I bought it, she thought I made a mistake.  I did not.  NOT WHAT I ORDERED. Will require another visit to the store because no one answers the phone. Chair: Was told it was in stock. Now sales manager told me in store it could be OCTOBER!  Again, no customer service at all. I called the store, today, weeks later, and was informed that it would be another 2-3 months before my furniture would be delivered. I understand COVID-9 has slowed production, but my issues is that I was misquoted a time frame and will have no furniturenin my home for several months. The salesman was more concerned about his commission than being honest with his customer. I planned to cancel my order but was told I would be charged a 30% cancelation fee, which makes no sense, when I was told a blatant lie before purchasing. I was ready to lose my 30% investment until.the store informed me they could not refund my.mkmey, today, but, instead, I'd be mailed a check in a few weeks. I paid cash for my furniture and am now forced to wait 3 months before I can live comfortably in my home. Had the couch for about 3 months now and two of the cushions are already sunken in and extremely uncomfortable. Purchased a reclining sofa, right at the time of barely using it for one year, the recliner on the end of the sofa broke and fell backwards. I called a couple days before the one year warranty for labor expired, I was informed a rep would call me back. No call back. I called again in April and in May, still no call back. Today I called and was told the warranty expired and it was no longer covered. I was also told I was left that message on my cell phone. NOT! The manufacturer Warranty states recliner mechanisms 5 years, labor one year. The CS rep at Guest Response Team 877-314-8457 said pretty much too bad, I should have purchased their 5 year warranty! I was shocked, and I did not raise my voice, or use foal language, I calmly said that was not right, and I was going to give them horrible reviews. I was told I was childish and I think he wanted to hang up on me but I was transferred to a survey. HA! Got a one out of five. Sales team in the store were great, all "Guest Services" I spoke to were rude, stay away from Ashley furniture, they do not stand by their own warranties, and "Guest services" is a joke! I recently purchased a living room reclining sofa set package. The reclining sofa is not perfect but good enough and in acceptable condition. That's OK. What I don't like is the accent table group that come with the package. 1) At delivery, I had reminded the moving guys TWICE, NOT TO PUT THE SOFA TOO CLOSE TO THE WALL because I don't want to cause any damage/color to my white wall, as those are reclining sofas. They said OK but still put too close to the wall and made a dark spot on the wall behind the sofa (even before I test the sofa) at the end. OMG ! Lucky I I had some remaining paint to cover up the super ugly dark spot. 2) Also, at delivery, the pair of table lamps that supposed to come with the furniture package, still not received until now (after 2 weeks). 3) When delivered, the tables had missing suction cups, so the glass top wouldn't stick on the table frame and flimsy. Hubby and I had made a request to the store and told that the replacement suction cups will be sent by mail at a later date. Alright, when we received the replacement suction cups and unfortunately we found that the replacement suction cups are not the right size. Sigh~ If don't mind the unbelievably poor service, then ASHLEY FURNITURE STORE is your choice. I'm so glad that I didn't buy my queen size bed of memory form from them. read more

Purchase at the store (Apr 29th) went very well but after that is terrible experience. First, after purchase I moved to a new unit in same apartment complex so needed to change the delivery address, but customer service on the phone keep tells me from my mobile number they cannot verify me. I spent over 4 hours with 5 different phone operators since they keep telling me from the phone they cannot verify me. Finally the 5th operator told me there was other customer who had exact same order number with my phone number so system cannot verify me. I still don't get this but that's what the operator explained. Secondly, I gave the new unit number to this operator and thought delivery address was changed but keep getting delivery confirmation text with old address. I tried to reconfirm via phone but same problem again they cannot verify me on the phone. I spent another over 2 hours for this by being asked to wait but just cannot confirm if right address is captured. Delivery was planned next day so I rushed to the store to check, then was told delivery address change shows in system so I should ignore the text and just wait. As anticipated, the next day delivery driver called me just before arrival and he was heading to the old unit. Then the next problem. They brought wrong parts for my bed so couldn't assemble and left the boards with nails sticking out. I have two little children at home and this is extremely dangerous. Also I see many scratches on the wood floor after delivery. And I was told warehouse team will call for the availability of the missing parts and when to come back on the same day but no contact. We have to sleep on the floor because of this and don't know when I can get my complete furniture which I already paid. I did go to the store which is my 3rd visit and explained the whole story but no follow up call or no nothing since. This is my experience with Ashley so far and I am extremely disappointed. I need someone at Ashley corporate who has responsibilities to immediately complete the bed and compensate all my loss from the problems caused. I still have other pending delivery furniture from Ashley but just worried I will never receive them. I hope as a furniture company your employee understands how much customer rely on your correspondence especially a customer from abroad setting up life from scratch. read more

First of all this is not about store performace but Ashley Mid South Delivery Dispatch and Custumer Relations EMPLOYEES. Please do not count on reasonable scheduling of your delivery. It is warehouse way or you walk the highway. They will not even give you approximate part of the day ( morning/afternoon ) before 24 - 48 hours prior to. You will need to take off from work on the spare of the moment if you are capable of doing that. Warehouse employees will hang up on you if you are trying to reason with them. Costumer service and the headquarters have no influence over delivery dispatch or warehouse? Because of that I would advise to shop somewhere else. read more

The experience I have had with Ashley from a customer service perspective is the worst experience from any company. They first delivered a dinning room table to me that the leaflets did not fit in. They then had a second replacement delivered that was damaged, now they will not work with us on a delivery window that works for us. On top of that the 6 chairs and bench seat that was delivered had screws in them that did not fit so the chairs are falling apart. We had a tech come out one time fixed the bench but was not able to fix the chairs and now we have to wait for the screws to be delivered and reschedule yet again to get the chairs fixed. So to recap, 6 broken chairs 1 broken bench seat 2 damaged tables no help from them to make it easier on us as their customers. We will be canceling our line of credit and making sure all of our friends family and acquaintances know about the sub par quality of product and customer service Ashley offers and recommending no one ever purchase furniture from this company.
