We came in on a Saturday and worked with Zeb. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, authentic and most importantly he gave us time to discuss amongst ourselves while choosing the right mattress for us. He listened to all of our indecision and made us feel informed and comfortable with our ultimate decision. He never pressured us to spend more than we wanted or get add ons we didn't need. Three months later (August of 2025) we chose Quality Sleep Shop's (QSS) articulated bed frame and matched a "firm" mattress to it. However, we were not completely satisfied. We thought we might get accustomed to it but never did! So in February of 2026 we inquired as to whether there was any way to fix the problem. Here's when we learned our folly. In order for the mattress to conform to the articulation of the new frame, the mattress (by design) cannot contain the perimeter wire found on "normal" mattresses. This is when (and where) QSS excelled with customer service. On the condition that our new (6 month old) mattress had not been damaged or soiled in the interim, for a nominal fee (labor and transportation) the QSS picked up the mattress disassembled it to the extent that they could replace the TOP cushioning with a firmer product, reassembled it, and reinstalled it - ALL on the very same day! We dare you to imagine another company making the same commodity to match such service. Needless to say - we're very happy and satisfied - Thank you Quality Sleep Shop!

When I said we did not need a boxspring I wasn't told that that would nullify the warranty.We purchased a Serta mattress that was only $800. After three years the mattress started noticeably sagging in the middle . We recently stopped in the store to discuss this. The mattress has a 10 year warranty ( that is apparently warrantied by American Matress and not Serta). We were given paperwork to fill out and were told to take pictures. The salesman was apologetic and agreed that we should not have a 3 inch sag in our mattress after just over 4 years . I documented everything and sent it over with the receipt. Initially I got no response to my email until I followed up again after 5 days . When I followed up I got a response saying I needed more pictures and information. I explained that my mattress was missing the tag that had been loosely attached with a plastic tag that is used to attach a price tag . I was told that since my perfectly good boxspring was 5 years old when I got the new mattress and since I didn't have the mattress tag ,(despite the fact that I had a printed receipt, )that my mattress would not be covered . I emailed the customer service rep -Tammy back and she responded that "my case was closed . ". I followed up with Serta and was told that they apparently don't stand behind their product . I followed up with the manager at American Mattress in Schaumburg and was told that Tammy was his boss but he would contact the owner of the "family owned " business. It has been a week and I have yet to hear anything one way or the other . I would never buy another mattress here or ever purchase a Serta mattress again.!
