They started off great, but finished horrible. The furniture was much later than promised. Not a huge deal. we made it work. The last two pieces where delivered yesterday and they don't fit. The sectionals do not connect to stay together. The frame on the chase lounge cracked after three uses. They offered a repair, but who wants a repair on a cracked frame? My experience was terrible with the delivery service . They gave me a window of 2-6 pm they called at 6:02 to let me know the would be coming 8-9 and then never showed up. Claire is the most amazing, helpful, chipper, product specialist I've ever met. We were in the market for a new bed and mattress and right from the start, she helped us SO much. But the best part is that she also knew when to step away and let us talk amongst ourselves (to anyone who has ever left a store because they felt too hounded, this is HUGE). On top of all that, she really went the extra mile by researching all possible options that fit our requests while we left to mull over the choices we discussed and went above and beyond to make sure we chose the piece that was not just the nicest or most expensive, but really the best fit for our budget, lifestyle, decor and (TINY!) room size. We left feeling confident, reassured, and excited about our purchase. And really, what more could you want? I honestly have no idea why this store has such poor reviews. Was very please with service we received from Kim In Phillipsburg store. We bought several pieces and were extremely happy with her attention to detail and answering all our questions. Some pieces were scheduled for different dates which was fine. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because we came home and went on Ashely online and found every item we purchased was significantly cheaper online. Like $1000 plus difference! We were shocked. We went to the store and they price adjusted and matched the online prices. However I can't help but think how many people do NOT go online and do not know they are over paying for each item. Always good to double check and save some cash when shopping at Ashely. I was finally in the market for a new couch and knew I didn't want to shop directly online. I like to see and touch what I'm buying. I came into Ashley Furniture and was amazed with how everything was beautifully set up, but overwhelmed with all of the choices. At that moment, I was greeted by a happy and super friendly woman, Kelly Donahue. I gave her the dimensions of my living room, my color preference, and let her know about my child and cats. Without hesitation she took me over to the perfect couch and explained the available customization options I could get. Super comfortable, great color, and easy maintenance for messy kid and pets. Not to mention a very reasonable price. I can't wait for it to be delivered, but even more so, excited about the excellent service Kelly provided. Horrible Experience. Should have listened to the Yelp reviews and stayed away. If I could give it less than a star I would. Ordered a sofa and had a scheduled delivery four weeks later. Seemed like a long time but I went with it and took off of work. Was told I would be contacted three days before to confirm. Called two days before because no one contacted me, and was told the sofa was on back order for another week. Awful customer service, transferred me several times before I could get someone that could even tell me what was going on, and when I finally was transferred to a manager she talked to me like a child. They just gave me the usual "we're sorry for this inconvenience" line, and offered to reschedule the delivery day. Waiting to see what happens next, but I cannot recommend enough to STAY AWAY no matter how good the deal looks like you're getting. read more

Absolute last time I will ever shop at Ashley for even the smallest thing, we were in the process of moving and I was promised a bed to be delivered by September and now we get word that it wouldn't be ready until maybe November, even after making the arrangements in August, and being promised it would be delivered at the appropriate date, very unprofessional, and lousy. I would give this place no stars if that was an option. I ordered a bedroom set from here and the delivery guys came with the headboard missing and said it was backordered and would be here in a week. A week later they came back with the wrong headboard and said they'd be back in a another week. They finally came back and tried giving me a headboard with a piece of wood missing from it, and covered it up with a delivery sticker so I wouldn't notice. Thank god I took the sticker off before I signed for it. Unbelievable!! We went to the store manager and they were extremely rude. They said since they already sold us the piece it wasn't their problem and told us we had to figure it out with customer service. This post is to let everyone know what a terrible experience we had at ASHLEY FURNITURE in Phillipsburg . Their customer service was TERRIBLE, store manager was very RUDE, NOT HELPFUL, a LIAR and INCONSIDERATE! We had a delivery scheduled for yesterday for 3 items (a couch, love seat and recliner) that was bought December 15th. This Monday, January 11th we were told only 2 (couch and love seat) would be available for delivery. The reason why we chose this date originally was our salesman confirmed in the computer that this was the earliest date we could receive all items at once. After calling the store about the issue no one could give us any information. After more prying they were able to tell us it was on back order and it would be a week until we received it. We agreed to accept the first delivery and wait for the recliner at a later date. Our time slot was 1-5, and I took off from work for it. At 5:30 we still did not receive our delivery NOR a call about the status. So we called the store once again and were met with attitude and disrespect from the manager. After being on hold for 10 minutes she stated she would have to call us back with more info. When we received a call back we were notified that the truck broke down, but our items would still be delivered. The customer service stated we would get a courtesy call when they are 15-20 mins away. Needless to say at 10:00 last night we still did not get our furniture OR a call. Although we were very dissatisfied and frustrated we gave them the benefit of the doubt. This morning 1/13/2016 we expected to receive a call about our failed delivery. At 2:00pm I still have not heard from Ashley Furniture. I finally called at 2:00 pm to find out about the status of the delivery. The manager lied multiple times to us about the status and the fact that she could not track our order. We called the warehouse and they said the next available delivery date was 1/30/2016, even though the manager lied and said they could deliver it this weekend 1/16/2016. We are COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY DISGUSTED with ASHLEY FURNITURE. I highly recommend to everyone to spend your hard earned money elsewhere!!! read more

After spending quite a bit of money on furniture, we were never notified of one piece being backordered. The delivery date after the backorder was never run past us and not flexible, like I sit at home everyday able to wait for furniture. After calling to see if the set was in and finding out it was I asked to switch the delivery date and customer service was extremely rude and not helpful. I'm very disappointed with the customer service And lack of flexibility. I will not be working with Ashley furniture again even though the sales lady during purchase was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, I hate to take business away from her. I would love to give ZERO stars if it were possible. I bought a very expensive bed for my daughter a little over a year ago. Ever since the day it was delivered, I have been calling, emailing, and even going into the store because the bed is garbage. I bought and paid cash outright for this bed and the extended warranty. Over a YEAR of the run around from everyone I have been in contact with. I basically purchased a $1500 pile of garbage, paying hundreds extra for a warranty that just guarantees nothing but runaround lies and stress. Went to browse at some furniture for our new home and I was greeted by a saleswoman who let me know about the sale and other details which was fine but then she actually followed me and my family throughout the store and made comments about every piece of furniture I was looking at, I was horrified that I had no privacy to discuss anything with my husband due to her being right there listening....after she followed me to 3 different sections in the store we walked right out. It got up to 100 degrees last week and I honestly think it's disgusting and inhumane for these people to make their employees stand outside for who knows how long each day just to advertise. I have to say we purchased a sectional sofa over a year ago from this store and a year later couch is still comfy and looks pretty good for its use. It is in our family room and takes abuse from 3 kids, 2 adults and two dogs!. I don't like to write reviews immediately as I want to see how the product stands up. The previous couch we had purchased from a competitor didn't last this long before the frame broke in middle of the couch. The bones are solid on this sectional! The customer service is excellent. We purchased the warrantee and have had to use it due to a tear. They service man came to our home to assess and ordered a new cushion for us because it was not repairable. the sales woman was very friendly at time of purchase and delivery people were prompt and courteous. I am very critical of customer service, as it was my profession, and I have been very happy with the level of service I have received. I would shop here again. read more
