My wife spent about 5-6 hours with the salesman picking the bed out. Very exciting- first 'big girl bed' for our daughter. Spent 2 weeks buying Peppa Pig bedding for her, pillows, sheets, etc. The guys deliver the bed this morning, right on time, promptly, do a great job of putting it together. No slats to lay the mattress are available. Turns out the salesman never told my wife that the slats are needed. After feeling disappointed, frustrated and having the delivery gusy wait around for 45 minutes, we were seriously considering refusing the bed. Thanks to great help of Carol Burgos from Customer Service, the issue was resolved, I was able to drive to the warehouse in Edison and pick the slats up. I have been in sales for almost 10 years and this experience left a very sour taste in my mouth. Suggestion for Ledgewood Ashleys: either train your salespeople better or have them be more specific and more knowledgeable. If I wouldn't sell you a car with a missing tire, why did you sell us an unuseable bed with no slats? 3 start at best. Thanks, Carol Burgos for all your help., you deserve 5 stars. read more

This is a second review/complaint regarding our purchase at Ashley Furniture at the Ledgewood NJ store, where we purchased some expensive defective barstools for our kitchen. Now one of the replacement barstool is making a noise when you lean back on the chair!! Upon my inspection and troubleshooting as to why this was happening, I noticed it happened mostly when you leaned back in the chair. I then discovered the annoying noise was coming from the metal frame attached to the backrest and seat of the chair by 5 screws. I proceeded to check the screws on the bottom where the frame of the barstool is attached and a few were loose and not snug. I tightened them up and the cracking noise stopped when I leaned back or swiveled in the barstool but the fix was short lived and the noise would continue again and the same few screws would loosen up even though I really made them tight. It's obvious the problem is in the frame and the way it was forged on that particular barstool. The other barstools that were replaced don't or never did this. I called the company once again , the girl was rude and was no help except to tell me they'd have to schedule a service tech to come out here and inspect the defective lousy but expensive barstool making this annoying noise when swiveling or leaning back. I'm gonna file a major complaint against Ashley furniture for the new problem and ongoing issues I had with these barstools. All I can say is DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY , their products are defective, SUCK, & are not designed or built well. The manager Jerry there also a typical salesman also just wants your money and when we had our first issue he failed to respond to us, himself. We have a NEW problem with one of replacement bar stools they delivered and customers service told us we have to go to a process of having a service tech come out to see why the freakin' lousy barstool is now making a horrible cracking noise when you lean back in the chair. I'm gonna trash this company all over social media and also report them to consumer affairs and other consumer protection agencies. They can't sell garbage nor treat their customers like they do when we have legit issues and problems with their lousy furniture products! read more

If I could give this place a zero I would! We ordered bedroom furniture from Sarah Smith, on January 16th. When the furniture arrived it was damaged. It is a storage bed, the drawers did not close, they stripped the screws on the headboard on installation. The support boards were off of the securement straps. We called customer service and they sent a "master woodworker" to repair it. In his report he said he didn't know how this furniture passed quality inspection. We went into the store and spoke to Regina. She directed us back to guest services. They directed us to another Department that reviews the evaluation of the woodworkers. They want to send us a footboard without drawers!! They have no idea when the drawers will be in !! We asked for a refund and they said we will hear from a manger in a few days (LOL). Ashley Home Store is a pretty good furniture place that sells cheaper to mid-grade furniture and home goods. Selection varies quite a bit from store to store depending on inventory. The Ledgewood store has a very good selection of dinning room table sets and bedroom sets. They have some decent living room sets, but not alot to choose from and nothing that makes you say "Wow I gotta have that sofa". In store service is very attentive and helpful and they will leave you alone if you ask them to. Nobody likes 'Clingy' sales people. I would return here for some types of furniture and home goods. read more

I purchased a sectional from the Randolph, NJ location. We purchased it on July 17. When purchasing, the guy told us it should come end of August (which is already an inconvenience because we don't have a couch). Then, we get a text saying that it will be at most 12 weeks from the date of purchase, which now brings us to October. Then, we called to see the status and they are saying December. How unethical and misleading!!! I am so disappointed and frustrated. By the way, it is impossible to get in contact with anyone to help. They say they will call back and don't. I am waiting for some kind of compensation or for them to resolve this issue. If they do, I will change the rating but until then, 1 star!! read more

Bought a "custom" table pad for my dining room table which was also purchased at the same store. Was supposed to be a hickory color (same color as the table). Returned to Ashley's in person as no one would return my calls. Ashley's accepted and had another sent to my home of the exact same WRONG color (see photo). I gave up. Finally used the table extension to accommodate everyone for Thanksgiving (immediate family only in case you are wondering). Realized not only is the table pad the wrong color, the extension leaf section is the wrong size. Started calling Ashley's again and got them to acknowledge on 12/3. They sent a note to the manufacturer and every time I call I am told they are waiting to hear back. I am out of patience with this company. Overall their furniture quality is average at best, but is OK if you only plan on keeping it for 4-5 years. But the customer service is truly horrible should you experience an issue. I have purchased well over $20,000 from Ashley's in the Ledgewood and Manahawkin NJ stores over the past 2-years, but that doesn't matter to them once they have the sale. This seems to be the only way to get their attention. read more

After being a loyal Ashley customer for over 20 years, I am now closing my account. They had a great sale a few weeks back, moving their inventory to a new store and offered decent discounts on the floor items. I found a set, purchased it, and was advised there was no warranty on floor models. Understood. You would think that they would at least do a quality check before shipping the purchase. I get the 3 piece recliner set, and the chair makes a god awful noise when reclining. And no one in the store knows who I can call to have it looked at. I have to wait for the Manager to call me. Monday they say. I won't hold my breath. Additionally, I purchased two tables, which I was told would ship separately. When my delivery came I called the store and they gave me a 12 week estimate, July. Absurd. I canceled the order. There's 700.00 they lost, just like that. Mind you, I purchased a bedroom set last year which was a 4 month wait (COVID inventory issues). When I bought it they said 8 weeks. 4 months later I got the set. At least 10 phone calls, and nothing but excuses. All in all, I have furnished two homes in the past 10 years, spending over 20K combined. I think that is enough merit to at least get some resolution, but apparently Ashley Ledgewood is not concerned about anything but making a quick sale. My patience is done. If this is the best Ashley can do to retain customers, I am out. There are plenty of other places to buy furniture- no lack of competition there. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Ordered our kitchen table set and was told someone would be contacting us about our delivery. Well about 2 weeks later they called and told us they would be calling to schedule the delivery, well my husband got a text saying that it would be delivered on Friday between 12-4, well we both work. We called and asked if they could just LEAVE it because if someone isn't here they will take it back and charge a 25% fee to redeliver it. The only option they will give us is to cancel it and reschedule which still doesn't work because we work Monday-Friday! And they won't change the delivery time for when I'm home. All they can tell me is I have to pick another day. I will never order from Ashley again and I suggest no one else does either because god knows if you have a problem NO ONE HELPS!!!! This is NOT the store the store has been amazing it's their shipping people!! read more

The store itself is very nice with great salespeople. However, we bought a couch 5 months ago and the thing is just sagging badly and the cushions are really bad and need to be stuffed already. I'm very disappointed in the quality of this couch and when calling to talk about the warranty on it, I was directed to a service company that will patch my 5 month old couch with parts to get it functioning properly. Who knows how well that will go. I wouldn't recommend anyone purchase furniture from any Ashley's if this is what you get. It's not a reflection of this particular store but a reflection of poor quality furniture. Update: it's not going well. I continue to state that a 1 Star review is valid. I just received a call weeks after the technician left that my parts were ordered. Those "parts" are merely cushion stuffing even though the technician agreed the frame was sagging and there are sharp pieces sticking out of the arms on the frame. read more

I bought leather reclining sofa and love seat from Ashley Ledgewood NJ about 2 years ago and bought 5 year protection plan of Furniture protection care from Ashley. Leather is peeling off from all different places at the sitting area and it's embarrassing to have guests. Both Ashley and Furniture protection care do not honor protection plan and Ashley furniture leather products are piece of shit. Do not buy anything from Ashely and do not purchase protection plan because they will find ways to not honor it and decline claims citing normal wear/tear, and product is not up to standard. I am not buying anything from Ashley anymore. read more
