    My wife spent about 5-6 hours with the salesman picking the bed out. Very exciting- first 'big…read moregirl bed' for our daughter. Spent 2 weeks buying Peppa Pig bedding for her, pillows, sheets, etc. The guys deliver the bed this morning, right on time, promptly, do a great job of putting it together. No slats to lay the mattress are available. Turns out the salesman never told my wife that the slats are needed. After feeling disappointed, frustrated and having the delivery gusy wait around for 45 minutes, we were seriously considering refusing the bed. Thanks to great help of Carol Burgos from Customer Service, the issue was resolved, I was able to drive to the warehouse in Edison and pick the slats up. I have been in sales for almost 10 years and this experience left a very sour taste in my mouth. Suggestion for Ledgewood Ashleys: either train your salespeople better or have them be more specific and more knowledgeable. If I wouldn't sell you a car with a missing tire, why did you sell us an unuseable bed with no slats? 3 start at best. Thanks, Carol Burgos for all your help., you deserve 5 stars.

    This is a second review/complaint regarding our purchase at Ashley Furniture at the Ledgewood NJ…read morestore, where we purchased some expensive defective barstools for our kitchen. Now one of the replacement barstool is making a noise when you lean back on the chair!! Upon my inspection and troubleshooting as to why this was happening, I noticed it happened mostly when you leaned back in the chair. I then discovered the annoying noise was coming from the metal frame attached to the backrest and seat of the chair by 5 screws. I proceeded to check the screws on the bottom where the frame of the barstool is attached and a few were loose and not snug. I tightened them up and the cracking noise stopped when I leaned back or swiveled in the barstool but the fix was short lived and the noise would continue again and the same few screws would loosen up even though I really made them tight. It's obvious the problem is in the frame and the way it was forged on that particular barstool. The other barstools that were replaced don't or never did this. I called the company once again , the girl was rude and was no help except to tell me they'd have to schedule a service tech to come out here and inspect the defective lousy but expensive barstool making this annoying noise when swiveling or leaning back. I'm gonna file a major complaint against Ashley furniture for the new problem and ongoing issues I had with these barstools. All I can say is DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY , their products are defective, SUCK, & are not designed or built well. The manager Jerry there also a typical salesman also just wants your money and when we had our first issue he failed to respond to us, himself. We have a NEW problem with one of replacement bar stools they delivered and customers service told us we have to go to a process of having a service tech come out to see why the freakin' lousy barstool is now making a horrible cracking noise when you lean back in the chair. I'm gonna trash this company all over social media and also report them to consumer affairs and other consumer protection agencies. They can't sell garbage nor treat their customers like they do when we have legit issues and problems with their lousy furniture products!

They said they would send a repair person. October 7, 2025 repair person, Bryan, tried to reset the recline handle. He said it could not be fixed - manufacture problem. I contacted the store and was told I would receive an email. No email was received so I emailed and called the store but they have ignored my requests for resolution. It is a nice chair and the sales people at the store were very nice until the repair man said the problem could not be fixed; now they just ignore my requests.

Our guest bedroom sofa (the dogs and cats hang out here) is a mess and needs replacement. I suggested that we move the living room sofa to the guest room (not perfect, but serviceable) upstairs and get a new one for the living room. My wife wanted to visit these folks, having seen their ads and reading the reviews of their furniture's quality. After just 15 minutes of looking, we found four sofas that met our needs and our budget. We guessed that they closed at nine so we wandered the store leisurely. Our sales rep (store manager) helped us with design ideas, colors and sizing even though we entered about five minutes before their eight PM closing time. She didn't rush us and made us feel like we were the most important people in the world. Cool! We went home with color and size ideas and, thanks to her suggestions, came back the next day because that was when they had a 30% off sale and free shipping. Her excellent customer service skills saved us over $500 and earned the store new loyal customers. If solid construction, comfort and customer service are what you are looking for, shop here when you need chairs or sofas.
