He took careful notes and made us think about other ways we could improve our home that we hadn't considered. But of course, lots of contractors promise big but underdeliver. That's not who Frank and Sue are. They and their team were committed to delivering work that both my husband and I were satisfied with. There were definitely times when we wanted to make some changes to what they had done, but they always made sure we were happy with the final result. I've heard a lot of horror stories lately about contractors not showing up or not delivering what they promised. So, I feel very fortunate that we found Frank and Sue because they were very reliable, fair and very concerned about customer satisfaction. Of course, I wish they could have worked faster at times but that was mainly due to material shortages which were totally out of their control. They and their team are warm and personable. While Frank oversaw the different crews doing the work, Sue helped us with our color choices for the painting and staining. She also helped us pick out our fixtures. During that whole time, they always remained professional and friendly. In summary, if you want the job done well, hire Heritage because they have the work ethic and follow-through to get the job done right. We are happy customers!

I especially appreciated the same-day demo and installation and the attention to detail in every step of the project. Previously, Tri-State installed quartz in our new bathroom. As others have stated, they aren't very customer service focused with emails and phone calls left unanswered for days and weeks. Communication was poor from the start, with very little sense of urgency. Their installers broke our medicine cabinet during installation -- then blamed us and our contractor, saying it shouldn't have been installed yet. This was never communicated beforehand, and we had made it clear they would be responsible for any damage. While they eventually agreed to cover the cost, we had to chase them for weeks to get reimbursed. They also removed the doors from our vanity cabinet and lost the hinge screws, which caused further unnecessary delays. The sink arrived unfinished, with glue all over the inside of the custom basin. We were empathetic to the fact that they're short-staffed, but the delays dragged our project out by months. To their credit, they were honest and ultimately made good on everything -- but only after persistent follow-up. If you choose to work with them, be ready to stay on top of every detail yourself.

I have been a home owner over sixty years and hired many contractors. As you know this can be a daunting task. But I found Monk's~! Rich Ressa, Monk's estimator arrived to assess the job and prepare the contract. He was pleasant and accommodating, answering all my questions and putting me at ease. He explained the process so I would know what to expect. On the start date he introduced me to Cristian and his crew. Their work ethic was so professional, no muss - no fuss~! When the job was completed (on-time) Rich returned to make sure I was pleased with the results. If you need a contractor- look no further than Monks!

Joe Corticada - our day to day lead - kept us up to date on progress and found creative ways to complete the project ahead of schedule (under 3 months). Amanda Cook helped us bring our design to life ensuring it balanced both aesthetics and function. Mike Drohan helped us spend our budget where it mattered most (custom door - still in love with it!), while balancing high quality lower cost windows. As someone who has gone through other remodels and acted as a pseudo GM, I can tell you I will never go back. This team delivered, did so as a team, and gave us a very high quality product that will produce memories for ages. Our little guy is already obsessed.

Buyer Beware! We…read morepurchased custom cabinets from T & M Kitchens. My husband and I are a firm believer in "you get what you pay for", so we decided to go with the higher end cabinet quote from the owner, Tom. He stated the cabinets come with a lifetime warranty free from any defects in material or workmanship. We paid for quality cabinets and a lifetime warranty, but this business owner fell short. Instead, we received many excuses, substandard work and lack of follow-up. From the early construction of the kitchen there were many issues, the kitchen dimensions were measured incorrectly, the kitchen island was 12 inches shorter than originally agreed upon( I was told a company error), and the cabinet doors were delivered with many defects in material and craftsmanship. I had to remind the owner that we paid for cabinets rollouts and that they needed to be installed. When the rollouts arrived, the owner sent over his "unskilled" worker to install them and they were installed incorrectly. My husband had to take them all out and fix them himself. A few months later our cabinet pantry door had some warping due to poor design. The pantry is situated over a heating element which blows hot air to heat the kitchen in the winter time. This pantry was never insulated, as it should have been, and heats up all the food in the cabinet in the winter months. I have to be careful as to what kind of food is put in the cabinet. I informed Tom of this issue and he stated he designs kitchens like this all the time and it's usually not an issue. Regardless I asked the owner if he could come and look at the door and possibly replace it. He came out and agreed to order a replacement for the pantry door. After almost 6 months later, many text messages and follow-up reminder emails the cabinet door was delivered. The owner again sent over his "unskilled" worker to replace the door. His worker installed the door but incorrectly measured the placement of the handle. The handle is noticeably malaligned when compared to the adjacent door. I asked the owner to replace the door, he agreed to reorder it and admitted to the mistake. One month later the door was delivered but it was the wrong size. The owner said it was the company's error and would reorder the door. Another 4 months have passed, and we still do not have the replacement or even a response as to when it would arrive. The owner has not responded to my emails, text messages or phone calls. To date it has been over a year and we still do not have the replacement pantry door. I would not recommend Tom from T & M Kitchens. We paid for quality cabinets with a lifetime warranty from what we thought was a reputable company but we were very disappointed.

They went above and beyond in many ways over what was expected/promised and stayed on time and true to estimated costs.
