Mattress I bought is comfortable, but the adjustable portion of the frame hurts my back, so basically I paid a ton of money for an adjustable frame that is in reality a flat frame. And by the way when I called to ask about any possible exchange, I was told "why did you buy it then. You liked it in the store." I tried to explain there is a big difference in laying on a bed in a showroom for 3 minutes and trying to sleep on it all night. I explained I sleep on my side and the adjustments put me in a bad position where I hurt in the morning if I raise either the head or feet. I was advised I should try to switch to sleeping on my back even though I've slept on my side my entire life and I'm comfortable that way. Just make sure you get what you really want before you purchase. There is no going back no matter what they say.

This is a second review/complaint regarding our purchase at Ashley Furniture at the Ledgewood NJ…read morestore, where we purchased some expensive defective barstools for our kitchen. Now one of the replacement barstool is making a noise when you lean back on the chair!! Upon my inspection and troubleshooting as to why this was happening, I noticed it happened mostly when you leaned back in the chair. I then discovered the annoying noise was coming from the metal frame attached to the backrest and seat of the chair by 5 screws. I proceeded to check the screws on the bottom where the frame of the barstool is attached and a few were loose and not snug. I tightened them up and the cracking noise stopped when I leaned back or swiveled in the barstool but the fix was short lived and the noise would continue again and the same few screws would loosen up even though I really made them tight. It's obvious the problem is in the frame and the way it was forged on that particular barstool. The other barstools that were replaced don't or never did this. I called the company once again , the girl was rude and was no help except to tell me they'd have to schedule a service tech to come out here and inspect the defective lousy but expensive barstool making this annoying noise when swiveling or leaning back. I'm gonna file a major complaint against Ashley furniture for the new problem and ongoing issues I had with these barstools. All I can say is DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY , their products are defective, SUCK, & are not designed or built well. The manager Jerry there also a typical salesman also just wants your money and when we had our first issue he failed to respond to us, himself. We have a NEW problem with one of replacement bar stools they delivered and customers service told us we have to go to a process of having a service tech come out to see why the freakin' lousy barstool is now making a horrible cracking noise when you lean back in the chair. I'm gonna trash this company all over social media and also report them to consumer affairs and other consumer protection agencies. Since moving in we've had to buy a couple of major appliances. It's already stressful having to move and schedule delivery and what not. The sales team at this store as a whole just like I said needs a class in customer service. You call there and you're not met with anyone friendly it seems unless it's the girl who calls to schedule the delivery. They pick up and don't say who they are which is strange to me. I've worked customer service jobs and we've been trained to say Hi, this is (insert name). Unappealing that the sales team doesn't do this. Also, I've caught some of them lying about other sales associates not being there when they are. There are only two sales associates I would consider giving business too, Paula and Dave as they were nice and considerate when we spoke with them. Curtis the manager was okay as well and wanted to make things right. The first one we brought was a dishwasher and our sales lady Paula was great and very helpful. However, installation of it was a nightmare. The first installers who came, came before the dishwasher was even delivered and then took the kit that I paid for back with them. The second installer who came was okay but said they couldn't do it because our dishwasher wasn't next to the sink. It was but not side by side with the sink making a more difficult job. The third installer who came was a straight shooter told me it was more difficult but could be done and the second installer just didn't want to do it. I do speak to the store manager more than once regarding this and they did make things better by offering a rebate and buying a longer hose I would need. Our next appliance was a stove. Nothing too bad with that came and was installed no hassle. However, the hood we also brought was on back order and would be delivered at a different time. That came the other day and the third installer who did my dishwasher came and did the hood which I was grateful for. When I had to call and schedule the delivery of my hood to my stove the person who answered the call sounded annoyed they had to do something and then just hung up on me after scheduling my delivery.
