What a fraud. I had a $100 gift card, read the back of it to see restrictions, noticed that I couldn't use it on "promotional" items. Okay, fine. I finally found an end table for $99. Anyway, the helpful girl in the showroom helped me ring it up. But she had to call her manager to approve the transaction. The guy came out and flipped the gift card over and began reading it out loud like I didn't or couldn't have read it myself. Then, he said, "You can't buy this because it's a 'manager's special,' and also, you must buy at least $300 worth to use the card." THAT WAS NOT STATED IN THE BACK OF THE CARD, MR. LIAR!! I had enough respect for the girl helping me and she was standing right there, so I held my tongue to not swear at this jerk of a manager. I just said, "Keep the card then!" and walked out. If I could leave zero stars I would. I've bought all of My home's furniture at this store and have bought the insurance (which covers burns, spills etc on everything). My dining room table had an accidental burn mark so I called the insurance. They went to check it out and then told me I had to go back to the store because the piece was cheaply made. I did just that. I spoke to the assistant manager Lee and he was useless. He said he'd get my info and pass it on to the manager, Micheal and I should receive a phone call by the next day. Two weeks passed and I never received a phone call from the manager. My husband and I decided to go once more to the store to try to resolve the issue, Micheal said that Lee never informed him of this and he would send me a replacement. He got my phone number and said he'd call by the end of the day to tell me when the table would be delivered. It has now been 4 days since then and still no call. This store is extremely unprofessional and I would advice anyone and everyone to go to a better furniture store!!! read more

We ordered a dining room table and they said it would be delivered on October 5th but it never came. When I called to ask them what's going on they said it was on back order and it wouldn't be delivered for another 2 weeks! I wouldn't have been upset about waiting another 2 weeks, however, they didn't even call to let us know that it wasn't going to come and we wasted a day waiting around. There's no communication and I find it hard to believe that the store didn't know it was on back order when we ordered it. She mentioned to him that she wanted a couch one big enough for our living room. Abel started off friendly, and was helping her decide which couch would he perfect. The second she said I would need an approval so she would come back, he simply gave her his Card and left. That's your level of customer service? That's ridiculous! She wasn't finished looking but he made it seem like she wasn't a customer. She felt offended and when she told me I was offended! I placed an orden 4 months ago, I was told That the items I bought were going to take 1 month to be delivered. Not a problem but 2 months after they said the item was not in stock yet. 3 months after they called that only 1 of the 2 sofas was available if I wanted that in the mean time they will be delivering that, I said I want all my items be delivered at the same time since its a set, they said okay can you wait a couple more days. Okay just a couple more I'm been waiting now 3 months Then 1 more month after they called to schedule my delivery with the news that I had to wait longer for all my order to be ready. I Spend 2000 and I canceled that order that day. I had to wait one more month for my refund. you may have better luck. But I had a Terrible experience. read more

I just want everyone to know that the salesman in the Oxnard Ashley Homestore can be quite misleading. We bought our Tempur pedic bed August 26 costing us 5000 plus includes bed itself. We were given a test of some sort called a comfort test I think... we tried and lied down on 3-4 demo beds and each one had a remote control to let you individualize the comfort u want elevate the he'd of the bed elevate your legs etc. NOW our bed delivered is the correct mattress but no remote whatsoever. The salesman BJ Bizle?? Something like that is his name misleading his customers. I'm not going back there unless they rectify what this salesman said. Buyer beware you can not return anything that you buy from this store. If you order online you have 30 days to return but not with the Oxnard store. They said they would send a tech out when I explained that my 90 year old mother in law was not comfortable setting in this chair. The back is fine but the seat has no cushion and is very hard. There is no way to know this by sitting on it for 5 minutes in the store. I can't believe that there are still places with a no return policy. I definitely will not recommend this store to any one. It is full of bait and switched pricing an unethical business practices, particularly when a "i mean you no harm" salesman hands you over to the "business guy" general manager Mike. After getting credit approval to finance our purchases, Mike told us to either take the sales discount or the financing. Think twice before spending your hard earned cash at this store or with the company at all. I purchased an entire house full of furniture back in November. They delivered an expensive dining table (#1) with damage on the side and turned that side to the wall so it wouldn't be noticed until after they left. When I saw it, I called immediately. They brought another one (#2) that was completely busted underneath before they even got it off the truck. Then, they brought another one (#3) that had a cracked splintered edge on one end. So, they brought one more (#4). This one has a gross discoloration on one whole side of it that looks like black ink on top of the stain. After many, many attempts at contacting the store and the company, they are now ignoring me completely. No one returns my calls or emails. I am livid and not sure what to do next. I guess I'm stuck with a $1,400 brand new ugly discolored table. I will never purchase anything from this place again. read more

This company as a whole is very sad. I was in this location a few weeks looking for a sofa bed and some lamps. when i entered the store i was not approached for the first half hour. being that it did not look to busy i was naturally upset for not receiving a greeting. finally a sales woman named darla approached me. she was very pushy when i was talking to her about the sofa bed i desired; she seemed more like let's get this over with because i did not plan to spend much so of course I was of no interest to her. i decided not to purchase and speak with a manager before leaving. when i approached the front desk not only did i see a box of HARD LIQUOR in the store managers office! (milan and there were two other managers on duty) before i could get a word out about my experience i notice the manager who looked of middle eastern descent yelling at one of the customer service gals telling her not to speak and do what he is asking her ect. the conditions the manager is running that store under are very unprofessional and i believe their corporate office should shut them down. instead of speaking to a manager i decided to snap a photo of the crown royal that was in their office to warn others . do not spend your money here friends!! NEVER buy anything from this store. I purchased a couch from them a few years back with a warranty from GUARDSMAN the warranty covered stains and tears for five years. I filed a claim within the warranty period for a stain I had on the couch and Guardsman refused to honor the warranty. I filed a claim online and I called them several times to speak to an account manager and they were rude and very unprofessional. They sent a tech out here to try to fix the stain and take pictures of the stain. The tech came and couldn't fix the stain and took photos send the pictures over to them and they still refuse to reply to replace the cover. Instead to sent me a wrong cover. When I asked to speak to a supervisor they abruptly hang the phone up. Do yourself a favor and never purchased anything from Ashley or anything or any furniture that has warranty covered by Guardsman they are worse than the devil. My daughter purchased a mattress and box spring from Ashley Furniture in Oxnard about 3 years ago. Soon after she had the Sealy mattress, she noticed that it wasn't performing well. She didn't want to go through the hassle of a return so she ignored it. To make a long story short, she decided to have it replaced which was a process. Ashley Furniture gave her a store credit for the full price of the mattress only and didn't prorate it. She was dreading going into the store and dealing with salespeople but reluctantly went in. An older gentleman named Alan helped her and gave her the most incredible deal which enabled her to not only replace the mattress, but also get two of the best pillows on the face of this earth, not kidding folks, Cool-Tech Advanced Pillow, you got to get one! I confirmed the delivery times & date. Received a reminder the morning of delivery. No one showed up! When I called customer service they said the merchandise hadn't arrived to the warehouse yet and scheduled another delivery date. Once again, no one showed up. This time I called the store manager. We bought 2 sets of living room furniture and a sofa bed,after 3 months one of the livingroom sets the fabric is pealing, and breaking already a hole now, the insurance we also buy its says they don't cover this and just happend for used, Ashley wants us to buy a special tool for us to cut the ends, even do if we do its going to break even more. Ugh, just look at all the negative reviews and then run somewhere, anywhere else! I've purchased many furniture items from this Ashley store in the past, and totally love their furniture and would have given 5 stars for previous purchases. But their customer service and business in general has really changed and it's awful. I purchased a living room set a couple months ago. I expected it to be delayed due to Covid. Annoying, but expected during a pandemic. So one day we got a text that our furniture was ready to be delivered. That got us VERY excited. We got our delivery date, our delivery time slot, and on the day of delivery, what number in line we were. We have a small home, so I put our old couch out on the curb and said FREE! It got picked up quickly and we were ready for our new one to be delivered. Super happy when the delivery crew arrived, and then everything went downhill from there. First, they refused to wear masks inside or outside of my home. I knew if I didn't have them set up the furniture for us (take out of boxes, install legs, etc), that if something was wrong WE would be screwed. I have a young child who is immune compromised from previous leukemia treatment. So then the guys bring in a piece of our new modular sofa and set it up. It's gorgeous! And then he hands me papers to sign and says he's done. I ask where the rest of my couch is and he says it's on backorder! So, Ashley furniture delivered the pillows and 1/4 of my couch. Why on Earth would you deliver a part of a couch and the pillows and not the rest?? So, now my family of 5 has been sitting for a month with 1/4 of a couch. Thru the holidays. When we should enjoy watching movies and snuggling, we are sitting in camp chairs. I've called EVERYONE and no one will help, compensate, or fix the issue. They said the rest would be delivered on December 7th. I called because it's December 10th and I have heard nothing. On the phone, I was told that they decided to move our delivery date to December 21st. I'm beyond livid and I urge to really read these reviews and know that this will happen to you. read more

It looks awesome and the couch is so comfortable and you can feel the difference between a bargain couch vs. the luxury of a well made couch. This is a couch for a lifetime. Purchased the warranty for both couch and coffee table with rise up top. Perfect for movie night or any time. We got the table with drawers to store our board games and remotes. Perfect. Everyone, Ian and Sebastian were awesome and patient while we made our purchase decision and the delivery of the furniture was timely and arrived without damage. We had such a wonderful experience shopping in store so this is a very disappointing review to write. We ordered a couch in October and were told both verbally and in writing that delivery would occur in mid-November, which kept getting pushed further and further back. If we had known that, this alone would have made us rethink purchasing from Ashley Furniture. We were told delivery would occur today, and upon arrival we were immediately told there was an issue with the order. Because one arm rest was missing from the chaise part of our sectional couch that we could not receive any of the order, leaving us with nothing, even though we repeatedly said that we would be fine having the rest of the order fulfilled today and have the arm rest shipped for us to add on ourselves later. I would avoid purchasing from this Ashley Furniture unless you have the time to wait indefinitely to receive your purchase. read more

I was expecting a delivery today from 12pm - 4pm. It never came. I confirmed the delivery THREE times this week. Actually, Ashley reached out to me THREE separate times to confirm the delivery (email, text and a phone call). After wasting my entire day, I spent 30 minutes holding for "customer service" and was just told that my delivery had to be rescheduled to 12/10. Not only was the operator rude, she had the audacity to tell me that she was busy as today (the day after Thanksgiving) is their busiest day of the year. Terrible customer service! The only option they gave us was to pick up at store on Sunday, which meant paying extra money for delivery on the side when the "delivery" was already included on the purchase. I bought a furniture set from Darla Wellman who was wonderful. I think she's off on Thursday and Fridays, so it's worth waiting for the days she's there and maybe calling ahead of time to meet with her. I can't speak highly enough of Darla. I'll be honest, I would have given 5 stars although my visit the day before wasn't wonderful. I walked in, wearing tennis shoes and a hat, and literally walked around for 30 minutes with not one person asking if I needed help. I had to finally ask a few employees who were talking, "can you help me" and the gentleman swiftly walked away although the sweet young gal answered some basic questions which I do appreciate. I already knew what I wanted to order and asked about the general process of ordering, etc. and "when I return should I ask for you?" She responded and "it's fine. Another girl and I are covering the shift so one of us should be able to help you," which led me to believe it wasn't that important to provide her name. (Sorry about that) It all works out I suppose because Darla was very helpful and actually gave me some great advice and recommendations for complimentary pieces. Overall, I do wish the staff was a little more welcoming. The few times I visited, I don't exactly get a warm and fuzzy feeling when entering, but rather kind of bombarded with questions when there's a host present. It's the one reason I recently visited another store and bought my personal set (sofas & dining table), because of the overall comfort the store offered although I must admit, Ashley's has some excellent choices when it comes to furniture. This is the first and only time we'll buy from here! The customer service wasn't very good. There seemed to be plenty of salespeople but the one who called on the phone & went into the showroom seemed to too busy to give us much attention. We told him what dresser & chest set we wanted & even showed him a picture from the internet. The set included the mirror so we expected to get a mirror but when it was delivered, no mirror. We called back then told the salesman that we're coming in again to talk to him. After waiting (again.) like 10minutes, he talked to us & called his manager to assist. We wanted to buy the mirror but the manager gave us the mirror. I wish we could have taken the one in the showroom because when the new mirror was delivered, it was the wrong one!! We recently bought a new house that is quite a bit larger than our old house, so we needed to buy a large amount of new furniture. We needed bedroom, family room, dining room, and some other furnishings. Paul at the Oxnard Ashley Home Store helped us look around and while we didn't find a living room set we liked, we found a complete bedroom set and a dining room set that we loved. We decided to order those and come back later to decide on a living room set. While Paul the salesman was great - great personality and great salesman - our experience after the purchase was terrible. On February 9th, we placed our order and we were given March 8th as a delivery date. We were told our furniture would take a month for delivery. While we weren't thrilled about that, we decided 4 weeks really wasn't a terrible wait. We have been dealing with an empty house and excitedly anticipating the arrival our new furniture so that we can finally settle into our new home. On February 28th, we received a call from an Ashley representative telling us that our delivery would not occur until at least May 8th. THREE months after we ordered the furniture. Understandably upset that after almost a month, we were told it would be another 2 months, my husband called to make a complaint and to see what else could be done. After going back and forth all day, a manager called and told him nothing can be done and he can cancel his order only by giving out our credit card info over the phone or going back to the store. We will not wait another 2 months to furnish our house. Almost a month has been wasted while we could have bought elsewhere and been able to settle into our new home by now. Needless to say, we will not go back to order anything else from them. Ashley Home Store sells furniture that they do not actually have. The same thing happened with my sister in September- they didn't get their furniture until after December. We thought it was a fluke and considered this before we ordered but didn't actually think it would happen to us also. Now it seems that this is standard for Ashley. They promise an earlier date of delivery than they can actually provide just to get the sale. Then wait weeks to tell you it's being pushed out farther. We are upset that our time was wasted and we are still sitting in a new house with empty rooms. This is not the start we imagined in our new home. read more

Sebastian Guerrera is the best. We came in for a sectional couch and he gave us the red carpet treatment. We were there for about 3 hours and he never complained once. We were a little indecisive of the couch that we wanted and sebastian made his best effort to help us to find the right couch for us. Because of his honesty and customer service we ended up buying a new couch, bed and bed frame are at reasonable price.
